Tule kokeilemaan järveä, joka asuu perinteisessä New England -tyylissä New Hampshiren parhaiten varjellussa salaisuudessa. Merrymeeting järvi on koskematon 1100 hehtaarin järvi, joka sopii kaikille vesiurheilu- ja virkistystoimintaan.

Alakerrassa on kaksi makuuhuonetta joista toisessa täysikokoinen nukkuja ja toisessa kaksi erillistä vuodetta ja täysi kylpyamme. Yläkerrassa on avoin parvi, jossa on lisäksi queen-nukkuja, makuuhuone queen-vuoteella ja isossa kylpyhuoneessa kylpyamme ja suihku. Siellä on myös pesukone ja kuivaaja. Tämä kaunis viitta on asetettu takaisin yksityiselle tielle ja tarjoaa rauhaa ja hiljaisuutta riittävän lähellä kaikkia vesiurheilulajeja.

Omistajalla on myös vesihiihtokoulu, ja se on vuokrattavissa oppitunteille sekä ilta ponttoristeilyille, joten venevuokrausta ei tarvita. Osana viikkovuokrauspakettia tarjotaan 2 tunnin ponttoni arkisin ilta-auringonlaskun risteily. Comfortable relaxing home in beautiful NH lake country
Gracious owner took us on boat tour of lake, provided lots of info and left local fresh foods for us. House was spotless and comfortable with lots of space and a short walk to the lake but set just into the woods The lake was quiet cool and clear for swimming and nice hikes nearby. Sunny deck for morning coffee and evening dinner. Had use of kayaks and beach chairs.

Memories to never forget
Matt and Deb were very special one of a kind Hosts. They not only made sure we had everything we needed but also insured we had special fun memories that will last a lifetime. The accommodations were exceptional with personalized touches including fresh produce and a welcome book like I’ve never seen. Special addition of water sports and a sunset cruise made for memories my children will never forget, which is exactly what I hoped for. Can’t recommend this property and host enough!

Beautiful house, location not as expected, tv room very uncomfortable (horrible hot)
First of all the house was beautiful and clean but the location was not as expected at all. I was under impression it was on the same street as the lake and was not at all. The walk from the lake to the street then to the house was pretty steep and long and not as expected. The only room with a tv was nice but extremely hot during the day and we were told we could take the windows out at night if it got too hot and during the day we could not go in there because it was horribly hot. . The windows were about 4 ft wide by at least 5 ft long and very difficult for me remove and even then it was still too hot. I think the house might’ve been more comfortable if the weather wasn’t as hot as it was but the host should be better prepared for this. Also the host lived down the road and came for the trash twice a week and then his wife came to water the flowers while we were there. The host lived too close and it was very uncomfortable. He also mentioned he didn’t like alot of people visiting and we were in NH to visit our family and we wanted them to visit. We were also told we were sharing a dock with another family but there were more then just one family using that dock. Also in the original description and rules we were suppose to get a tow boat and a paddle boat but the host sent me new rules the day before we arrived as we were on our way to NH. Had I known all of these things mentioned I never would of rented this house because we paid a very large amount for this house rental.

Peaceful getaway
This was a nice relaxing spot to vacation. The house was lovely, had everything we needed. We especially loved the big sunroom & deck. The lake was a short walk down the hill & we were able to dock our jet ski on their dock all week which was very convenient. The area was quiet & neighbors were very friendly. The lake was the perfect size for boating & not too busy. Matt took us for a wonderful sunset cruise which was just above & beyond, so nice! We had a great week & the kids had a blast. Thank you!

Great Vacation!
The property was clean and modern. The kitchen was well supplied with all needed plates,glasses, and utensils. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had. The dock that was available for our boat made our stay even more enjoyable. The neighbors were very friendly and this street the house is on is quiet. The lake is clean with hardly any weeds. Sitting by the fireplace making smores was fun. We would stay here again.

Merry meeting Lake
One of the best vacation rentals I have been on. Matt was an amazing host. He took us on a two hour pontoon boat ride and showed off some of the wildlife. We saw Loons and bald eagles and cormorants . Matt gave us some goodies in the fridge including fresh eggs maple syrup fresh tomatoes and pancake mix. We had access to his dock and two kayaks. There was also hiking up behind the house on some snow mobile trails. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Thanks Matt

Fun house near the lake
My family enjoyed the house and Matt was a great host. We kayaked, swam and had wonderful family time. As mush as we loved the house, I was disappointment we could not see the water from the house. Based on the photos I was expecting a water view.

Great Get Away in Nature
This was a great getaway near the lake with water access, waterskiing and relaxation. We had a great time decompressing and Matt was a great communicator and waterski coach.

Quiet Woodsy Cottage
We were looking for a place near my sister that would give us our own home base--letting us easily visit but having our own space. This was perfect! Such a cute exterior! We were sold from the start. And it was immaculate! We couldn't have asked for better. We are probably not the typical renters. We were not able to take advantage of the included sunset cruise, which would have been lovely. Matt also offers skiing lessons,, hiking,, etc.. Three bedrooms were also more than we needed but two bathrooms are always good! Unfortunately, we never met Deb, but her presence was felt in the beautiful garden, decor and just the right kitchen utensils. (Don't mean to sound sexist, but I am pretty sure that was her!) One thing I think you should know up front, although it may not affect you. The TV is more a monitor than a TV. You need to bring your Roku or know how to connect to whatever streaming service you might use. That was a little beyond our skill level! But it was actually nice to not be so connected for awhile. All in all, we had a great time and we would go back!

Lake Family Getaway
This year’s family vacation was intended to be a relaxing getaway and that is exactly what we got. This house was in a quiet location where we could play games in the street and easily walk to the lake for daily swimming, kayaking and boating. It had a great outside deck for barbecuing and enclosed porch for family gathering. The host, Matt, went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. From a fun morning of water skiing to providing us with a replacement anchor when we lost ours in the lake. He was just a text away, but otherwise gave us our privacy. It was a great week away!

Family memories of a lifetime
We are a family of four (two boys aged 7 and 10) who needed to get away from work and screens and this was the perfect escape! We spent most of our time swimming in the lake and grilling lunch and dinner on the deck overlooking the beautiful wooded property. Matt is an amazing waterski instructor and really went the extra mile to make sure we got our sunset cruise (his boat was in the shop but he knows everyone and borrowed a boat!) and even taught the kids a few things about boating they loved it. We were truly spoiled making some unforgettable memories together we won’t soon forget.

A merry time at Merrymeeting Lake
Can't say enough about our wonderful week in this lovely, peaceful home by the lake. A great value, with kayaks included and your own almost-private beach just 2 minutes walk from your door. Take a stroll down the lakeside road--you'll be greeted by all the friendly local folk and will feel most welcome. If you're there with your sweetie, you may prefer the enclosed, secluded porch, great for watching TV or whatever else may come to mind! Hosts Deb and Matt live down the road and provide whatever you might need. Don't miss out on the great cruise provided absolutely free by Matt, who know this lake like the back of his hand.

Lovely home in a quiet community
Deb and Matt’s home was as pictured, extremely clean and in a quiet location. We appreciated that items like trash bags, cleaning products, propane for the grill, firewood and kayaks were provide. Matt was extremely responsive before and during our stay. The hiking trail just up the street had nice views and was a quiet hike on a busy weekend (Matt sent us a link to AllTrails). The area around the lake was friendly with people waving and saying hello which was nice and made you feel welcome. A couple of things to keep in mind. We carried the kayaks down and back to the lake which was fine, but I know may not work for everyone (it was end of season, Matt may leave them closer to the water in summer). The road the house is steep. We had no issues with our car but if you have a low clearance car you may scrape - don’t bring your sports car, bring the family car and you will be fine. Thanks to Matt and Deb for a lovely stay!

Best Vacation-made our summer in 2020
My family (husband 14, 12, and 10 yr old) spent a week here. The house was so clean. At the end of the short street was a dock with kayaks. We went to the dock everyday. Neighbors were great and very friendly. Matt gave us water ski lessons and took the kids tubing. This made our trip; Kids are still talking about it and watching the videos we took of them. Matt and Deb also took us out on their boat for a sunset cruise. We listened to live music and saw fireworks. We went on a lot of walks, went running, and spent time at the lake. Great family dinner spots and ice cream. Matt and Deb were so responsive and friendly. Can't wait to go back. It was just what we needed to end the summer. Only wish we found it sooner.

Peaceful retreat
We had an amazing time at Matt and Debs property. It is as described and has anything and everything you would need to feel home away from home. The crystal clear lake is just 30 seconds down the hill. Kayaks were a huge bonus. Matt gave our kids water ski lessons that were so much fun and took us on a sunset cruise around the lake to enjoy beautiful views and nature. Thank you again for a week of a restful and fun vacation.

Grandkids loved the property
Matt We will not be returning, not because of your property but it is just too far to drive with the three boys. They did love it there, especially the lake and waterskiing. The house was nice. One thing I believe you could improve is to find a place at the water's edge to lock up the kayaks. The use of several boats is one of the factors that resulted in picking your place over others. But this did not materialize. We used only one of the kayaks and then only once (after carrying the kayak down the hill). We used the peddle boat only once after picking it up at your house (I believe by swimming out to it) and never saw the rowboat or sailboat. If you include these boats in your description, they should be easily available to guests. Also, your picture makes it appear that you are much closer to the lake than you were. The house was up a fairly steep hill (not in site of the water), which some people would have trouble walking up.

Matt Murphy has spent his summers on Merrymeeting Lake since 1981 when he bought his first waterfront home. Matt is an avid water-skier, wakeboarder, wakesurfer and barefooter on Merrymeeting Lake for more than 25 years.

He has trained and skied with some of the top riders and skiers in the world including Mike Seipel (barefoot champion), Bill Schwartz (slalom champion) and Dave Briscoe (wakeboard champion). Matt is also a USA Water Ski-sanctioned Member and a USA Water Ski Trained Boat Driver.

Matt wants to ensure that you get the most out of your summer at the lake. In addition to free boat access for sailing, rowing, pedaling and kayaking Matt makes his career in developing and delivering training around the world as an award-winning instructor.

So if you are interested in learning how to waterski, wakeboard, wakesurf or even barefoot ski his methods for training have been so successful, that he can offer his "Guaranteed-2-Ski" beginner package at a 20% discount for weekly summer renters.

Set back from the access road and direct lake access provides additional privacy that's not common with other regional lake rentals. The home also features a spacious modern kitchen with all cooking amenities. Living space is designed with an open floor plan (living/dining/kitchen) and a spacious deck. You'll relax inside as well as out on this private acre setting.

There is a three season porch that allows for bug free summer evenings. There is also an outdoor grill, fire pit and large yard. Located on an acre of land that abuts nearly 2200 acres of conservation land, you'll be able to hike right from your doorstep.

There are many older camp style cottages you could rent. But if you love lake living but want a more comfortable and modern home you'll stay here. If you're here to enjoy the lake and water activities we provide kayaks, a row boat, a pedal boat and sunfish sailboat for use at no additional cost. We also provide a free 2-hour sunset cruise on a 22' Bennington pontoon boat.
