My friend, Linda, and I and my dog spent 8 days at this property and loved every minute of it. The house was extremely spacious for the 2 of us, which was great, and I think it would be spacious for four people, too. It was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with all the cookware you’d need. The location is awesome, on a quiet cove of a large lake (75% of which is in Canada), and within walking distance of a wildlife sanctuary. We took long walks every night in pristine countryside, no power lines, just beautiful meadows, views of hills and lake, and a dirt road. The rental shares the lawn and little beach with hosts Todd and Tracy, whose house is on the water. However, we felt we had these spaces to ourselves, as T&T basically only showed up to answer our needs (took the kayaks off the rack for us, brought water to my dog when we were kayaking!). They were wonderful hosts, immediately responsive and fun to talk to. Their house, the rental house and several other houses are on a little peninsula, Eagle Point—so we had a lovely “community” feeling during our week of privacy, silence, nature and beauty. I swam (safe in cove), and we kayaked around islands and walked—all, mostly daily. We were in a part of the world where we’d never been (10 minute walk through the wildlife sanctuary to the Canadian border). We couldn’t have asked for more during our vacation.
