Magical Parisian Nest

From beginning to end, this apartment was a beautiful dream. You’re high up with lovely views and the whimsical (huge) terrace. It’s the perfect size for a couple or small family as you can still find your own space if needed. Denis is the perfect host, gracious, accommodating and responsive. The area is beautiful next to canal St. Martin with myriad fun shops and stores to explore. Easy access to metro and bikes! We loved our week long stay!! It’s the perfect home away from home 🏡❣️

This pad was centrally located, well organized and had everything we needed. Easy to walk and two nearby subway stations. Delicious restaurant at the corner.

Location and quietness

Denis the host was very friendly and helpful through text messages. Checking in was easy. The location of this apartment is fabulous. Very close to Bastille and Sully metro stations, which really took us to all the places we wanted to go. Around Bastille there are lots of shops, Sunday markets and restaurants and it was just a short walk to the fabulous Marais. The apartment block was filled with lovely friendly people. The apartment was comfortable and very quiet, but ideally needs a bit of TLC. There was quite a lot of unnecessary clutter of furniture... but that may just be a personal taste. There is a wonderful balcony, which we didn't use as much as I hoped as it was quite cold and with it's beautiful flowers, it upset my daughters' hayfever. The couch bed was comfortable. Cooking facilities were adequate. The negative was lack of space in the kitchen and in the bedroom, but we worked around it. I would stay there again.

Wonderful stay in Paris

Denis was very communicative and answered all my questions before our visit. He also checked in to make sure the trip was going well. The neighborhood is very convenient to everything although the 7 minute walk from the metro Sully Morland was dark and not well lit.

Very good location, cosy place

Nice little 2 room apartment, fully equipped, bedroom a bit small but ok. Warm welcome, very helpful housekeeping lady. Wonderful, spacious terasse with nice view. Perfect location near Bastille (Metro, Gare du Lyon etc., good restaurants quite close as well as Supermarkets.), perfect communication with the owner. Had a nice time and will certainly come back one day.

Great Place to Stay

The apartment was very comfortable. The housekeeper met us in the lobby when we arrived and was there to see us off when we departed. The location is very convenient. Lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Two metro stops on main lines very close. A good grocery store nearby. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. All in all, a great experience.

So much sunlight, and the views!

So far this is our favorite stay in Paris. The location was a bit more out of the way than we are used to, but the flat and general location ended up being really great for us. Metro is about 5-6 blocks away, grocery store and restaurants about a five minute walk. I just loved all of the sunlight streaming into the place, and the deck is wonderful to have, even if the weather isn't great for using it. Staying near the canal offered great walks in the evenings. The sleeping situation is a bit creative and required some tumbles to get in and out of the bed if you are sleeping with someone and not on the door side, so I got a bit tired of that after a week. TV was older and the kitchen is compact but typical for the area. Check in was pleasant and easy and the flat had everything we needed for eating easy meals in and bringing in groceries for our stay.

Ideal Choice

4.44 We loved the terrace, the location, the charming decor. Checking in was simple as we were met at the door. Metro, markets and restaurants are nearby. Denis answered our questions promptly which we very much appreciated. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again. We especially enjoyed the view and our walks around this very lovely area. Thank you for a memorable stay in Paris.

Paris Graduation Vacation

My granddaughter, her mother and I booked this apartment for our Paris visit to celebrate my granddaughter's high school graduation. The suite was as listed on VRBO, in a very good location with good access to metro and train. We also walked to Notre Dame, the Pantheon and through the Left Bank area without use of the metro. We enjoyed walking in the neighbourhood and dining in the restaurants. The fold out bed in the living room was comfortable and easy to set up and put away every day. We enjoyed the outside patio very much though it was rainy and cool during our stay. Thank you, Denis, for your welcome gifts and your excellent communication while we were booking the suite. We would happily recommend your suite to any visitors to Paris.

Convenient and Cozy

This cozy 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for the week my wife and I just spent in Paris. Very convenient to the metro and a short walk from many of the sights. We’ll stay again in our next trip.

Nice stay

The terrace is awesome. Location is great.Apartment and building feel very secure. The apartment itself is OK, not out of ordinary for Paris. Lack of counter space would make any real cooking challenging. Also little in the way of places to put your stuff; most closets are locked/inaccessible. There are a few booby traps like a shelf in the bathroom that falls off easily and two handed process to close the bathroom door due to towel rack. Also there was construction next door when we were there with associated noise and dust, But for us these were minor issues and we enjoyed it quite a lot.

Parisian Paradise

Everything about Denis' place was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for! Great location in the 4th, a block from the Canal St. Martin, grocery market, bistros, cafes and two metro stations! The place fit 3 adults comfortably. All things you could need in the well stocked kitchen, extra pillows and blankets for the pull out couch. The veranda for us was the highlight. A view of enchanting rooftops and the canal, two tables with chairs in which we sat in the morning for coffee and pastries and wine and cheese in the evenings. Denis's communication was exceptional for not being on property. Very much appreciated. (Take note, drivers will think you need to be dropped off/picked up at the brick building next door!) This was our first adventure to Paris and when showing other travellers pics of Denis' place they were enviously jealous, especially for the price they were paying for hotels. We will absolutely stay again upon a return to such a beautiful city.

Fantastic Terrace

We were sad to leave this perfect sixth floor apartment with a huge rose filled terrace, terrific views, perfect location, with two elevators making our stay extra easy. The week went by all too quickly.

Paris in May

Perfect in every way! This property has everything you need including a beautiful terrace to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine after touring. Denis Auclair and Madame Gaillet were gracious hosts and responsive to our requests. The property is close to the Metro, grocery stores, restaurants and La Cite, the heart of Paris. Merci beaucoup for a wonderful stay during our first trip to Paris.

Amazing flat in a great location

Staying at Denis' place worked out great for us. We stayed for five weeks. The location was perfect. We were close enough to walk to two Metro stations, the grocery store, the Bastille market, the Seine and the small and large islands. Yet- far enough away from the touristy areas that we didn't get caught up in the crowds. The terrace was a huge benefit even though the weather did not allow us to sit out there a lot. It was beautiful to look at and it was great to open the doors for fresh air. We appreciated all the nice appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker, and espresso machine. The fold out couch was very comfortable. The flat was decorated nicely and was definitely lived in - which made it homey and comfortable. Mme Gaillet was standing at the front door when we arrived and was always very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful Stay

The apartment was perfect from the location to the rooftop patio. The owner and property manager were both extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Paris!

Lovely apartment close to everything

Wow what a great place to stay, and you can’t beat the location. The Seine River was only one block away, and we were able to take many walks along the riverbank of the Voie Georges Pompidou. The Ile Saint-Louis was also within easy walking distance. The apartment was roomy and comfortable with all the amenities that you could need. We will definitely request this apartment on our next visit to Paris!

A Bit Of Heaven

They showed much thought to details, as the interior decorating was delightful. This little gem is comfortable and The location cannot be better. The rooftop terrace was a bonus with all the potted plants and lovely view.

Terrific experience

Wel loved everything about this place but the wonderful views, balcony, windows and greenery are definitely what make it extra special. The location, amount of indoor space and amenities made it perfect as well as the very accommodating host.

Excellent stay and great hosts

M. Auclair and Mme. Gaillet were excellent hosts. The apartment is small by American standard but very comfortable. Having access to the terrace was amazing. We relaxed there every night after a long day of sightseeing. Check in was very easy. Mme. Gaillet met us at the front door and walked us through the property. She lives in the same building and was always helpful. Once we forgot our key and she was available to help us, even at 1:00 am. We are very sorry again Madame for having to wake you up. The location is great and only about a ten-minute walk to the center of Le Marais, Left Bank, and Notre Dame. There are three metro stations nearby so getting around Paris and its environs was very easy. We highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect spot

Great location. Great little flat. Bedroom is cozy but well compensated by bright, comfortable sitting room and large, lovely patio with picturesque view. Kitchen is more than serviceable. Owner, Mssr Aubin and house manager, Mdme Gaillot are extremely hospitable. We stayed a week and enjoyed every day.

Dreamy terrace apartment in a peaceful corner of Paris

I had a wonderful five weeks at Denis’s apartment. It had everything I could need (even a functioning printer!). It is in a very safe and quiet location; when my friend was staying on the living room sofabed, we felt ok leaving the terrace doors open a bit at night. Denis and Mme Gaillet were great, though I didn’t need much help. Shopping is convenient, and there is a granny cart for big loads. All the machines work fine (though we couldn’t manage to run the dishwasher on the short cycle, so it took quite a while). I saw some beautiful Paris sunrises from this apartment, and I hope to return.
