Houghtonin järven pohjoisen mökki

Kodikas, puhdas knotty mänty sisustus Houghton Lakes kaunis aurinkoinen pohjoispuolella. 55 jalkaa yksityistä järvialueella hiekkapohjaisella pohjalla ja asteittainen pudotus, joka on mukava uida. Mökissä on kolme makuuhuonetta, kaksi queen-size-vuoteella, yksi vyöryä sängyllä, jossa on kaksi erillistä vuodetta. Rentouttavassa olohuoneessa on sohva, vuodesohva, jossa on täysikokoinen patja, mukava laiska poika ja tuolit ja suuri ikkuna, josta pääsee näkymään järvelle. Mökki on täysin kokolattiamatto. Kylpyhuone on moderni, jossa on täysikokoinen suihku ja kylpyamme. Mökissä on kaksi jääkaappia. Toimitamme kaksi veneenostinta ja telakan.

Cozy Cabin

This was a cozy little cabin on the lake. Had everything we needed and enjoyed our week on the lake. Had one issue with the cabin the owners were very responsive and quick to take care of the issue. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect Summer Getaway

What a relaxing summer getaway spot. Far enough away from “town”, yet only a short drive to attractions. We swam, fished, geocached, had campfires, and explored local attractions. Very kind, supportive owners who are available when needed. All in all, a week well spent!

The owners were quick to respond to any inquiries and we found the cottage to be just as described. The lake view was beautiful and the cottage was cozy and clean. Overall great stay!

Wonderful cabin on the lake

Very comfortable cabin with great views of the lake. Cabin has everything you need including two air conditioners and a Keurig. A boat slip is available, which makes it very easy to access the water. Owners are very friendly and care deeply about your visit and are easy to get a hold of if needed. This is a beautiful, comfortable place with a nice rustic look.

Perfect 2-week vacation for us and our 5 kids !!!!!!!

Location. Location. Location. North shore of Houghton Lake is 3 feet deep for more than 100 yards out, no exaggeration. Perfect for kids and adults to frolic safely for hours everyday. (Our kids are 13, 10, 8, 7, & 7.) Views from the large south windows of Due North Cottage were always stunning. There's a little store down the road less than a quarter mile, which is perfect for cold drink runs, icecream/treat runs, live bait, fresh baked items, pizza, etc, etc. Also, Walmart, restaurants, coffee shops, laundromats, mini-golf, movie theater, etc are all just a 20 minute drive. There are State parks and forest preserves (great for hiking and mountain biking) within just minutes drive in every direction. We went tubing on the nearby AuSable River twice, just a 20 minute drive away. Due North Cottage is well kept and cozy. It slept 7 of us no problem. Kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of frig space for vacation groceries so we didn't have to run to the store very often. Little window AC ran hard to keep it cool on hot days but Mark & Christa have little fans in every room so it stays comfortable. Internet and cable worked great. Great gas grill which we used almost every evening. Absolutely picturesque bench swing and fire pit by the lake. Mark & Christa provided great communication from start to finish. We loved it. We would highly recommend it and we would love to spend another 2 weeks here again someday, maybe even next summer.

Lovely cottage on Houghton Lake

My family and I had an amazing time at Due North Cottage. It had all the comforts of home with a beautiful lake view. We absolutely loved sitting out back and talking around a campfire next to the lake. The shallow, sandy bottom was absolutely perfect to go out swimming and was perfect for all the young kids in our family. The party store just up the way was so convenient to get the little things we'd forgotten. Would absolutely recommend staying at Due North cottage, you won't regret it!

It was so clean and truly easy to walk in and feel at home. Mark & Christa are so lovely and welcoming. They just want you to enjoy this special place. We had such a nice week. Beautiful cabin on a beautiful lake

We absolutely loved our stay. Absolutely beautiful view of the lake. Beautiful woodwork in the cabin. Our suggestions would be a less firm mattress in the room facing the lake., change the carpet in the bathroom to something else, and not have carpet in the kitchen. We would totally stay here again in the future maybe next time when it's hotter.

Great place for a family getaway.

Our family stayed for a week. There were plenty of activities for the children as well as adults in the area. Swimming, boating, fishing, bon fires just to name a few. The lodging was great and everything you need is provided. I would recommend this cottage and plan on returning.

We Loved the cabin!! We will be staying at cabin again fishing was awesome

Took the boat on the lake fishing every morning and evening. We went to the Pines movie theater it's a great place. We had a great time. We are very happy with our stay at due north. :)

Awesome vacation location!!!!

We have vacationed at Due North for the past 3 years and are sooo looking foreward to our 4th year this July' The cottage is very clean and spacious. The view to the lake is amazing at any time of day. You can swimm off the dock and there is a ladder to get you back on to the dock, There is a party store withtin walking distance that carries pretty much anything you may need. The neighbors on either side are very friendly. the owners are truley the nicest couple . We would HIGHLEY recommend vacatining here. It is perfect for families or in ou rcase our kids are grown so we rent it with another couple and share the cost. And its big enough that the kids can come for a visit while we are there...plenty of sleeping. Also lots to do in the area....only you never really want to leave the yard or the lake.

Perfect Family Vacation Cottage

This cottage is in a great location and easy to find. We have rented Due North Cottage 2 years in a row and will return in 2015 for our 3rd year. This cottage is always clean , neat and tidy when we arrive. There is a little store less than 1/4 mile away that is a perfect little walk for an ice cream cone after dinner. The neighbors are all very friendly. The owners are nicest people we have ever rented from. I would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting an enjoyable vacation. We love Due North :)

This cottage is located on the north side of Houghton Lake among privately owned cottages. There is less traffic and you have the yard all to yourself.

Wonderful neighbors on both sides. We offer two boatlifts and provide a 12 foot row boat. Walking distance from a small store that sells tasty ice cream, pizza, meats, soda, adult beverages, and fishing bait as well as other food items.
