Town: The bustling village of Patrington lies on the Holderness Peninsular, a few miles inland from the coast. Surrounded by open farmland, the area is excellent cycling and walking country and in the spring and autumn, this area is renowned for the migrating birds stopping off to refuel at nearby Spurn Point. A few minutes’ drive from Patrington is the popular seaside resort of Withernsea, with long, sandy beaches, a traditional promenade, children's playgrounds and plenty of delicious fish and chip cafes! The town boasts some historical landmarks, including a lighthouse, now housing a museum, a Napoleonic fortress and a huge nuclear bunker which runs award-winning tours. There are pretty market towns nearby to explore, including Beverley, Driffield and Market Weighton, whilst a little further afield brings you to the larger resorts of Bridlington and Scarborough.
