Small spacious lakefront cabin built new in 2021, queen Murphy bed, includes free use of kayaks, mountain bikes, stand up paddle boards, lake swimming in season, small kitchen, 3/4 bath, covered patio with Adirondack chairs, BBQ, fire pit with wood provided . Breathtaking sunsets, birds, fish jumping and an occasional beaver. Relax by a fire, walk a quiet dirt wood road or try your luck at fishing . 3 km to store with take out diner, NS liquor store, and more. Pro’s: VERY clean, sweet small spot, beautiful lake, fun activities, excellent hosts. Con’s: Not much privacy (I wasn’t sure how close the other cabins were. Turns out I could throw a rock and hit the next one. They were partying and somewhat loud but we were there to relax). The check in is very late (4pm) and the check out the next day was 11. i wish check in and/or check out was earlier/later. We were only there for 1 night so we didn’t get much daytime fun there (although it’s important to note that the host was able to give us an extra hour at checkout so we could enjoy our morning coffee on the water for a little longer!)

Needed more time, less rain

Absolutely loved the check-in experience, so simple and private. Found amenities filled every need. Could have used instructions/information about getting the tv to work but no worries, we brought cards. Time restrictions only allowed us the one night but in agreement that it's the perfect getaway for a few days, rued that we hadn't the time to use the boats. Also rued getting ready to leave only to find we were cashless and unable to leave a tip, sorry about that. Thank you for having us.

Beautiful property

Our stay was for only be night so we didn’t have a chance to use the SUPs, bikes or canoes. We enjoyed the view of the lake from our cabin. The cabin #9 which we stayed in is well designed and functional but was quite small for the two of us, especially when the Murphy Bed was extended. There’s plenty to do there with a longer stay and Wanda gave us good directions to a beautiful beach nearby.

One of the best vacations I ever had

The property was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was perfect for a nice little get away. The hosts respond asap to any concern or question you have and the property has a bunch of water based activities to experience on the lake. We're definitely booking again next summer!

Cozy comfortable quiet little cabin on the lake. Close to everything. Host was absolutely amazing With suggestions on what to do in the area and places to eat. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful spot on lake doucette, cute cottage with everything you needed. Barbecue, bonfire pit, hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards (even a peddle boat) all right there for you. The bed was really comfortable, not hard or anything. Host was great no problem whatsoever. We would definitely go back again 10/10.

We stayed here at the beginning of our vacation and returned at the end to catch the ferry. Couple of items were missing: bath mat, no soap for shower and only decaf coffee pods. Minor inconveniences.

First stop off the ferry from Yarmouth and it was great!! Everything was clean, and the location was great. Will definitely stay here again!

So relaxing!

What a lovely, compact, well-equipped cottage right on the lake. Gorgeous sunsets. We did not take advantage of the free use of the kayaks and standup paddle boards, but imagine they would have been a fun way to explore the lake. Mavillette is a spectacular beach - walk to the far end to see some fascinating rock formations - waves of black and white. Delicious fish tacos at the Wheelhouse in Belleveau's Cove and a great discovery of BMC seafood market and eatery in Meteghan. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Cozy tiny cabin in a great location to explore the Yarmouth & Digby area. The bed is a bit on the firm side for my old bones--but aside from that, we found this to be a great little place to use as our base to explore the area.

One of the best Getaways!

Each summer, another teacher friend and I try to experience something new. We viewed many places in Nova Scotia, but this one got our vote. When we arrived, we were thrilled with the accommodations and especially the view. Wanda & Rob were easy to get a hold of for suggestions as to what to do to fill our time.... other than the kayaking that they provided right on the lake! THANK YOU!

Perfect pied-à-terre for touring the Yarmouth to Digby coastline. Quiet but conveniently located by NS highway 101 and Trunk road 1. Great value at this price point.

Cute little cabin! Exactly as advertised.

Clean, quiet and cozy! Its a perfect little landing place for a busy vacation. Did a loop on the lake with the kayaks a couple of times, beautiful space! Would stay again.
