Dreamy Villa with private sea water pool and spectacular view

Introduction
The Villa San Carlo offers spectacular views over the secluded Caletta bay and is surrounded by pristine nature: the estate with more than 150 olive trees and which leads you all the way to the beach, will be your unique opportunity to find privacy and relax by the infinity pool filled with sea water.
The panoramic Villa, with unique architectural style, accommodates 8 people and is located in Lerici. It will be your perfect base to discover a charming region with a genuine food tradition, sandy and rock beaches, romantic villages such as Tellaro, off the beaten tracks. It is also very close to major local attractions and day trips destinations such as Cinque Terre (5 Lands), Portovenere, Forte dei Marmi, Carrara, Pisa and Lucca.

The space
Built in the early 20th century, the villa has remained in the same family for generations and was lovingly restored with the help of Tuscan architect Francesco Ridolfi. Classically designed in the old world style, the villa is seamlessly updated for modern comforts with authentic, local flair.
The villa has its own entrance and it consists of two large villas connected by a balcony bridge. The common areas consist of a large living room, a dining room, separate kitchen all surrounded by a huge terrace overlooking the sea.
There are 4 double bedrooms (one with en-suit bathroom and private terrace) and 2 bathrooms and ample storage space and wardrobes in each room. It can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people in its romantic and charming atmosphere. All rooms have sea view.
Stairs will lead you through Italian gardens to the infinity pool (with trampoline), offering also a dining space, a gazebo bar and hot shower.
Equipment
The kitchen comes with all appliances (fridge, microwave, dishwasher) and there is also a wood fire oven in one of the gardens.
Wifi throughout, TV, climate control, laundry facilities.
The access to the pool is open from mid-May to mid-September. The secluded, romantic beach of Caletta can be reached by a path (4' walking) directly from the property and it is a good snorkeling location. It’s recommended to take the inflatable mattress and explore the Caletta bay and the other 2 small beaches.
Access
The Villa, its park, pool and parking have all private access and for the use of guests only. Parking space accommodate 4 cars.
Nearest airports are: Pisa (45 mins), Genova (1 hour), Florence (1 hour and 20 mins).

All four bedrooms have queen or king size beds.

History
The Villa come with a charming past: in the 1930-40’s it was property of English writer Ms Olive Willis who founded in Great Britain the Downe House School and for many years hosted poets, archeologists, musicians and intellectuals.


Interaction with guests
One of the owners will welcome guests We and will be available to share tips and insights. A gardener will take care of the park and pool three times a week.
Daily cleaning service is available upon request.

Exploring the area
From the Villa you can easily reach the centre of Lerici in 5 minutes walking, following a quiet and charming staircase that starts in front of the house entrance. Lerici offers many restaurants, an old harbor and a beautiful promenade by the sea. Ferries departing from Lerici will take you to Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Palmaria Island and other day trips. If you are into jogging there are many lovely paths, for example the one from Lerici to Castello di San Terenzo (2 km) and the natural reserve of Montemarcello.
From the harbor in Lerici you can rent boats and cycles.
