Vicino al Foro Romano, a pochi passi dal Colosseo, questo piccolo e lussuoso appartamento per 2 persone (fino a un massimo 4) posto in mezzo ai resti romani è la perfetta sintesi di antico e moderno: accoglienti soffitti (bassi) con antiche travi in legno, pareti originali da 1500 , arredate con mobili e lampade di famosi designer e tutti i comfort che desiderate.

Benvenuti nel mio appartamento: è situato nel mezzo del quartiere più antico di Roma, il 'Rione Monti', che ha mantenuto vivo il suo spirito popolare. Ora, come ai vecchi tempi, tutta la zona è un vivace labirinto di negozi, artigiani, ristoranti, taverne, bar, locali alla moda, gallerie d'arte, negozi di antiquariato e molto altro. E' qui che Giulio Cesare nacque nel 100 aC e che il grande incendio di Nerone di Roma ha avuto luogo nel 64 dC: queste stradine sono la vera testimonianza della storia di Roma ... si preparano a dormire nel bel mezzo di tutto questo!

L'appartamento di HomeSweetRome è un soppalco al primo piano, composto da una camera da letto con letto matrimoniale, un soggiorno con un divano-letto (che con un pagamento extra, funge da letto extra se si vuole dormire separati o per ospitare altre 2 persone) e un bagno con doccia. All'interno troverete tutto il necessario per il miglior soggiorno a Roma: aria condizionata e riscaldamento autonomo, TV LCD con lettore DVD, lavatrice e asciugatrice, ferro e asse da stiro, guide turistiche e mappe. La cucina è completamente attrezzata con una piastra di cottura elettrica, frigorifero, freezer, forno elettrico ea microonde, bollitore, spremiagrumi, tostapane, macchina per il caffè e molto altro per permettere di cucinare i propri pasti.

Nelle vicinanze, se lo si desidera, è possibile noleggiare biciclette e scooter. Tuttavia, la metropolitana è a soli 5 minuti a piedi, ma ancora più importante, HomeSweetRome è veramente nel cuore di Roma, da qui si può rapidamente raggiungere a piedi:

Perfect Location!

This was our first trip to Italy, and the apartment was in the perfect location. It was close enough to everything that we could walk, but it was on a quiet and picturesque street. We loved the apartment itself, it was beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Very nice apartment, modern, very clean and with a very nice host. The location is great. Few minutes to subway - Metro Cavour and 100 meters to Via dei Fori Imperiali. Colosseum is just 5 minutes walk. Small supermarkets around, bars, pizzerias and very good restaurants. One of the best is just in front of the building entrance- LaTaverna dei Fori Imperiali. The apartment is really great! We've been here at least 6-7 times in the last 3 years.

Una deliziosa casetta nel cuore di Roma

La casa è deliziosa!! La struttura è antica (le mura di mattoni a vista lo dimostrano) e Clara e Massimo hanno saputo arredarla con molto gusto (gli arredi sono moderni ricercati e curati). Ottima la posizione per visitare Roma. E' situata nel cuore del quartiere Monti, a pochi passi dalla stazione Termini e da via dei Fori, ideale per girare la città a piedi. Anche la fermata della metropolitana è vicinissima. Monti , nato come quartiere di estrazione popolare, si è trasformato in una zona piena di deliziosi negozi e ottime trattorie. Inoltre Clara e Massimo sono due persone molto gentili e disponibili, vi faranno sentire coccolati.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful appartment

Our family of 4 has just returned home from our stay in Clara's Rome apartment over the Christmas holiday and I can echo what so many others have said about what a perfect place it is for visiting Rome. The apartment is cozy and has an excellent blend of the old (wooden beams, brick, thick walls) and the new (designer furnishings with beautiful modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures). Clara provided a well-stocked fridge, espresso coffee, and hotel luxury items in the bathroom. Everything was well-organized and the location was fantastic for seeing Rome on foot. The thoughtful added touch of a bottle of good bubbly that greeted us on our arrival signalled the overall high quality of Clara's accommodation. We cannot recommend this place highly enough...thank you, Clara, for a great stay!

Perfect location for a multi-day stay in Rome.

Property was just as advertised. Entirely comfortable, all we needed. It is literally less than a 5-minute walk to the Coliseum and Forum. It's on a small street with little vehicular traffic, yet lined with nice bars, restaurants and convenience stores. Hosts were fabulous communicators. We would stay again anytime!

Amazing place and location

The apartment made us feel as though we were local Romans for our stay. It’s a great neighborhood and central to everywhere you want to go in Rome. Cosy, comfortable and welcoming.

Fabulous Flat

We stayed in this cute little flat for two nights and it had everything we needed, and it was located in a perfect location just to few blocks from the Colosseum and from some amazing restaurants. We will definitely stay in this flat again the next time we are in Rome. The hosts were always quick to respond to any communications and they assisted us with transportation from the airport to the flat. This is a hidden gem, do not miss out!

Property ideally located. However, bathroom needs attention, especially the shower surrounds and walls. Not super clean in bedroom, especially under bed which was very dusty, and didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. Also, although we appreciate this needs to be done, maintenance men were working on the communal staircase the day before we left, which was exceptionally noisy. Noise continued the following morning, when water was switched off at exactly 10am, on day of our departure, leaving us unable to flush the toilet.

Cozy Apt in perfect location

I booked this apt for me & my mom. Our first mother/daughter trip to Italy. We stayed for 2 nights before heading to Florence and would definitely stay here again in the future. Apt was clean & cozy. Just right for the two of us. Location is perfect & we loved walking to dinner in evenings and felt perfectly safe. Owner was very responsive and process was seamless.

Location Location Location!!!!!!

Fabulous! This apartment was the perfect spot! Close to everything and the neighborhood was great! Literally could see the Coliseum from the street that the apartment was on. The restaurants were great and it was in walking distance of everything in Rome. Definitely would stay here again!

Fantastic location, great space. We were greeted by a lovely lady, even though we did not arrive until late in the evening, she took us through the apartment. So close we walked around the Roman Forum and the Colosseum that night. Great restaurants and coffee close by and it was not too far to get to the express airport train when leaving.

Perfect location and apartment

If I could give 10 stars I would. This apartment is around the corner from the Coliseum and on the backside of the Forum. You can enjoy local (non touristy) restaurants within a few steps of the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed, olive oil, seasoning, dish and clothes detergent, soaps,etc….

Fantastic Roman Forum stay

The host Niccolò met us at the apartment with a bottle of wine. The apartment was super clean. Better than pictured on VRBO. Location could not have been any better. We had everything that we needed would definitely stay there again lots of guide books available. Also a book made by the property owners, which was very helpful.

Location, character and quirks

A simple map doesn’t prepare you for the vibrancy and character of the location and the general area. The Forum is literally down the (close) end of the street and around the corner and the Coliseum is visible within a couple of blocks from the other end. The street itself is narrow and cobbled. It's Rome in a microcosm. The character continues inside with the thick wooden-beamed ceiling and old entrance door. Other reviews have noted that the ceilings are somewhat low but that didn't worry us because neither of us are particularly 'tall'. Another review also noted that the pillows are hard, and they are - gloriously so! Easily the best pillows I slept on in our weeks in Italy. There are many restaurants and bars in the street but sleep was not a problem because the bedroom is at the rear. But don't open the bedroom curtains! The lounge area is spacious and the kitchen is modern and well-equipped, as is the bathroom which has a couple of quirks in the sink tapware - well explained by our host's representative - and shower door, though I don't think the shower would make the list of the top ten hottest showers I've ever had. The other quirk is at the entrance with some variable-height steps to enter and a low ceiling to avoid on exiting. You'll be doing well if you don't trip upwards once. Clara & Massimo were great hosts who communicated very well and were accommodating and flexible. All in all, we had a great time at this apartment and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Ideal neighborhood

The apartment was really clean and picturesque. Massimo has really done a great job at maintaining the old school feel of the space while at the same time adding a touch of modernity. Definitely recommend staying here! Also the suggested restaurants and bars were great l. Thank you again Niccolo!

Stay here when in Rome

This is such a perfect little apartment to stay in. The most amazing neighborhood, close to everything but feels far away. Beautifully decorated, with all the amenities you would want. Wonderful people run the place, and there’s a great little restaurant across the way. Will definitely stay here again.

Pictures are very different from what you see in person. Low ceilings and dirty.

I have stayed at a few vrbos over the years. None of which have been a problem. I am not someone who expects a lot in these places. I do expect certain standards met. A basic standard clean was NOT met. We didn't realize our issue till the 2nd day. A musty/moldy smell was in the bedroom. AC had black mold inside. Living room AC did not appear cleaned. Top of kitchen cabinets were not clean. Shower walls yellow stains. Shower trim was filthy. Both bottom corners had black mold. Bathroom faucet leaked a bit when in use. For reference my brother is 6ft and I'm 5 '11. Not tall enough where we need to duck through doorways on a daily basis. This apartment was a different story. The living room a person 6-6 '2 could stand up in no problem. The doorway into the apartment we had to duck a good 8-12 inches. The whole walk through the kitchen you have to duck about 5 inches. Walking through the bathroom and bedroom doorway you have the duck about 5 inches. The extra pillows provided not clean and multiple stains. Rug in the bedroom was filthy. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. We had an overdue balance of an extra night due on april 30th before the trip. I didn't pay prior to contacting the manager with AC mold issue. I told her, I think that we shouldn't have to pay the extra night bec of the mold. She called me “deceitful” for not paying the balance before the stay. I paid it so this review can be creditable. A free extra night would be the least they can do.

Convenient location to the historical sights

We enjoyed our stay in this conveniently located apartment. It was within easy walking distance of the main attractions in Rome as well as restaurants and cafes. The apartment was clean and had all the key amenities you need for a stay in Rome. Our host was friendly and also provided great recommendations for the area. Since our stay was in the extreme heat of July, the AC struggled to keep the apartment cool. However, I am sure in less extreme heat, the AC would be fine. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to stay when visiting Rome and a great location in Monti for convenient access to everything.

Mi piace conoscere persone nuove, coccolarle e farle sentire a casa propria, o almeno a casa di amici. Ho arredato e attrezzato questa casetta come la mia stessa casa, con un occhio alle nostre esperienze di viaggiatori e a quello che ci piace trovare nelle case che ci ospitano durante le nostre vacanze

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Mi sono molto divertita a ridare dignità e splendore a questa antica dimora. Il restauro è stato lungo e laborioso, ma...ne è valsa la pena! Venite a constatare con I vostri occhi.
