Casa Farsetti, a special guesthouse immersed in the hills between Siena and Florence.

Andrea and Mavi, a couple in work and in life, will welcome and support you on your holiday. Andrea is a freelance sales account in the textile sector. Mavi is a creative, designer and stylist.
We hope that Casa Farsetti will welcome you and give you a 5-star experience. We also offer services in collaboration with chefs such as breakfast and dinner, or experiences such as truffle hunting, wine tasting and cooking classes.

The house is on three levels. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen with fireplace, living room, dining room and wine cellar.
On the first floor there is an old kitchen with a large fireplace, a living room, a library with a fireplace and bed, two bathrooms (one with a bathtub and the other with a shower). On the second floor there are four bedrooms.

The house is surrounded by 3 hectares of land, in a very secluded and secure area, with a private swimming pool of 6 x 12 metres.
It is 2 km from the centre of Castelfiorentino, a beautiful town in the heart of the Val d'Elsa, with shops, supermarkets, museums, hospital, railway station with trains to all the main destinations (Siena 30 km, Florence 45 km, Pisa 45 km, Livorno 55 km) and the entire Tuscan coast.

Not only was the place absolutely wonderful but our host Virginia made it a trip of a lifetime. She helped us with all the planning and made sure our stay was perfect. Every single detail - from breakfast to all the experience - was very well thought through. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous Location

This property is in beautiful location with wonderful views. The outdoor spaces are terrific as is the pool. Our hosts were great. They responded quickly to every request or concern, even providing us with a barbecue grill! It was easy to navigate throughout Tuscany, including Florence and Siena and the neighboring hill towns. The house is very old and the kitchen and bathrooms have been modernized. There are about 30 stairs from the bottom floor to the top floor where the bedrooms are. They were difficult to navigate for the older people in our group and dangerous for our toddler. It was predictably hot when we were there in August and there is no air-conditioning other than fans. The pool offered wonderful relief!

Picture perfect stay in Tuscany

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Farsetti. The highlight for us is the villa's outdoor spaces, including a gorgeous view of the valley, a comfortable shaded patio, a wonderful swimming pool, and many fruit trees around the property. The villa itself was very comfortable. It is large, with four bedrooms on the third floor, numerous living spaces, and a modern kitchen. The villa is VERY old, but carries with it historic charm. We stayed during an intense heat wave (over 100 degrees F nearly every day) but managed to stay comfortable at night despite no AC with fans and open windows. That said, travelers with toddlers or elderly members should exercise caution with the stairs. Maybe the best part of all was our gracious hosts, Andrea and Virginia. They greeted us upon arrival, gave recommendations, prepared us a wonderful Florentine steak dinner with a view on our first night, and saw us off when we departed. They were charming and helpful. We loved our time at Casa Farsetti and would return if we were to make our way back to Tuscany.

Schönes altes Anwesen - sehr netter Vermieter

Es ist ein sehr schönes, geschmackvoll renoviertes altes Haus. Der sehr nette Vermieter wohnt auf dem Grundstück mit seiner Freundin. Beide sind sehr diskret und lassen genügend Privatsphäre, sodass man den Pool und das weitläufige Grundstück ungestört genießen kann. Bei Problemen ist Andrea sofort tatkräftig zur Stelle. Die Küche und das Haus sind sehr gut ausgerüstet - selbst Mückenschutz hat er zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Lage des Anwesens eignet sich optimal, um von dort viele verschiedene Städte, wie z. B. Siena und Florenz, schnell erreichen zu können. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen.

Scorching hot but quintessential Tuscany off the beaten track

Anyone up for an authentic country visit to a house steeped in history (including ancient steep stairways and open fireplaces) will appreciate this property. Renovated with an artsy vibe, wonderful pool, bug-screens to keep out the mosquitoes - just beware that modern luxury (airconditioning, polished hardwood floors) should not be expected. Mix with locals at the market in Castelfiorentino on Saturdays- fresh produce alongside household Knick-Knacks and boho clothing! Thank you to our host Andrea

Casa Farsetti - bella Toscana

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Castelfiorentino. Leider fanden wir das Haus überteuert. Die Casa Farsetti ist ein sehr altes rustikales Haus - wunderschön - muss jedoch dringend "entstaubt" werden. Vintige ist top modern aber bitte ohne Ramsch und vor allem bitte sauber und ohne 10 jährigen Staub. Keine Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank der eine Pütze macht. Sehr, sehr steile Treppe ins Obergeschoss. Wunderschöner Pool! Andrea unser Host war nett. Er wohnt im Stallo neben dem Haus, immer präsent aber nicht aufdringlich. Ein italienischer Lebenskünstler.

Wir haben es genossen!

Wir (6 Erwachsene, 2 Kleinkinder, 1 Baby und ein Hund) haben unseren Aufenthalt in der Casa Farseti sehr genossen. Das charmante, historische Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet auch für eine grosse Gruppe, wie wir es waren, genügend Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Die Küche ist soweit gut ausgestattet. Wir empfehlen jedoch Küchentücher und -Lappen mitzunehmen, ebenfalls eine Grundausstattung an Gewürzen (sofern man sie nicht lokal einkaufen will). Casa Farseti liegt ideal für Ausflüge im Dreieck Firenze, Siena, Pisa. Sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten finden sich in Castelfiorentino (ca 15 Minuten entfernt). Unser Aufenthalt dauerte vom 3.-12. Juli 2023. In dieser Zeit war es sehr heiss (bis 38 Grad). Der prächtige Pool war daher eine willkommene Abkühlung. In den Schlafzimmern hat es 2 Ventilatoren, trotzdem waren die Nächte sehr warm. Die Toscana ist bekannt für ihre Mücken. Daher empfiehlt es sich für den Aufenthalt draussen Mückenschutzmittel mitzubringen. Das Haus ist prima mit Mückenschutzgittern ausgerüstet. Wenn man etwas achtsam ist, hat man im Haus praktisch keine Mücken. Bei Fragen haben uns Andrea und Maria-Virginia sehr hilfsbereit und unkompliziert unterstützt. Wir haben in der Ausschreibung festgestellt, dass auch ein privater Kochservice angeboten wird. Diesen Service haben wir an zwei Abenden genutzt und wurden mit vorzüglicher toskanischer Küche verwöhnt. Wir können dieses Angebot sehr empfehlen.

Very nice vacation

The house is charming, the pool is awesome, the location is in a good spot to discover Siena, Pisa, Florence and the coast - everything is just an hour away by car. Andrea is a super friendly and helpful host. We were looking for a relaxed vacation to recharge our batteries. This was the perfect vacation for this purpose.

Wonderful stay in Tuscany

We had a fantastic stay, the house has so much character and charm, and we really felt at home. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen, chilling out in the lovely pool, which has the most amazing views of the Tuscan countryside, and using the house as a base for fantastic day trips to towns like Volterra, Sienna or Lucca. Andrea was really easy to communicate with and was extremely helpful when one of our family members was ill. Highly recommend staying here!

Me and my husband and two mini dachshunds stayed in this amazing house for 10 days. Everything was amazing. We absolutely loved the house and the pool. The pool was so clean and perfect. The so rounding was absolutely stunning. We really hope we can come back here again. Thank you so much for having us

Historic Tuscan Villa

We enjoyed the large comfortable space, including the separate building next to the villa that features a lovely covered outdoor space. The villa is set in the hills around Castelfiorentino, where a large Coop has excellent food and drink selections. The owner, Andrea Farsetti, was very responsive to messages and helped with recommendations on restaurants, orienting us to the property, and making us feel at ease. The property also features grapes that are used for making Andrea's three wines, olive trees that are harvested for oil, and fig, pomegranate, and lime trees.

idyllic!

We had a wonderful week at Casa Farsetti. The old traditional Tuscan house (with wonderfully ancient doors!) was charming and welcoming, the pool was nicely sized and Andrea, the host, was very nice and helpful with tips for restaurants and sites. Andrea helped us organize a cooking class for the whole family one night, which was great fun. Highly recommended!

Dreamy, authentic, family friendly Tuscan villa and pool, secluded, but close to shops

We spent a very relaxing two weeks at this beautiful old home, which was an ideal spot to "get away from it all" while being able to do easy day trips to Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena and the secret gem that is Certaldo. There's a Coop grocery store 10 minutes away in Castelfiorentino. The house and pool feel very private, with lovely views and charming spots in the grounds for meals and picnics. The pool has no fence but if your kids are swimming a bit it is fun for them as there is more shallow than deep. The house feels very authentic and it's easy to imagine living there in another era - in a good way! The library was perfect for passing a few hours in the heat of the day. The kitchen is well kitted out, but still enjoys a lovely old marble sink. Andrea, the host, arranged a cookery class at the house, which the whole family enjoyed. The chef was very sweet with the kids who lovely rolling out the pasta etc. Comfortable beds and nice linen made sure we slept well. Andrea, was relaxed and helpful and popped by every few days to check on us, clean the pool etc. but didn't interfere or feel intrusive. He also booked us into a local agritourismo for a dinner one evening. We were very sad to leave and definitely hope to return to what felt like the dream Tuscan holiday.

Traumhaftes Anwesen - perfekt zum Entspannen und genießen

Wir waren mit 8 Freunden zum Urlaub in dem Anwesen. Es liegt ca. 2 km von Castelfiorentino entfernt - dort bekommt man alles, was man benötigt: Restaurants, einen großen Coop-Supermarkt sowie weitere Supermärkte und Bäckereien. Florenz ist ca. 45-50 Min entfernt; bis Siena fährt man ca. 1 Std. Andrea ist ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber. Er hat uns beispielsweise eine sehr schöne Weingutbesichtigung mit anschließender Verkostung organisiert. Während des Aufenthalts konnten wir ihn immer schnell und unkompliziert per Whatsapp kontaktieren. Alles in allem können wir Andrea und das Haus absolut empfehlen. :-)

Sono di Firenze, amo giocare a Tennis, viaggiare, e mi interesso a nuove forme di advertising. Affitto questa storica dimora perché spero che i clienti ritrovino la tranquillità, e l'estrema riservatezza che io stesso ho trovato nel viverci.

Ho deciso di affittare la proprietà perchè convinto dell'enorme potenziale del settore turistico in Italia e credo nella condivisione con gli altri delle conoscenze del territorio.

Cappella ancora consacrata privata. La proprietà unica nel suo genere perchè arredata con stile autentico mixando l'originalità del passato alla funzionalità contemporanea.
