Location, location

We wanted location near family we visited in Leith. It was excellent for us. Also, easy tram and bus access to Old Town.rooms are on 3td floor, no elevator, be warned. 2nd bedroom with bunk is small. No window. Owner did not come to fix reported lack of TV.

Met our basic needs

Our stay here was perfect for getting to the airport to go home. The place was clean with comfortable beds and very quiet. The TV was not connected so unable to use. They eventually answered my questions but not in a timely way that helped when needed.

The location is well conectet to the public transport and by that to city centre. The landlord was quick to respond to any initial damages, even despite the late houre. One negativ aspepekt ist that the secondary bedroom dosn't have a window and that there were dirty dishes in the kitchen cupboard.

Great location

The property is at the top of 3 flights of stairs. The pay and display parking mentioned is quite some distance away so we had to carry our bags there. It is a very basic flat as we expected. Its got most things you would need. The bathroom and kitchen were clean. The dining table was very sticky so we didnt use that and the wifi was broken. We contacted the owners about this but they didnt fix it. This meant the tv didnt work. Overall, it was a great location and we had a brilliant holiday. The children were happy and we were able to use it as a base to enjoy edinburgh. wither.

Low value for money. Flat lacks some basic household goods. Luminous save for inner room: no window, actually. Location well connected

Great location but apartment on 3rd floor without lift

The apartment was clean and spacious. Well equipped and there was coffee, tea, cereals and basic condiments. Wifi was good (but not in the bedroom). The location was perfect. We walked to Leith harbor and all the way to the Royal Mile and the tourist spots everyday. Bus and trams to/from airport are in front of the building. But we had heavy suitcases which made the long climb up the 3rd floor challenging. No lift. Was not mentioned in the listing. Bedlinen and towels were clean, mattress and pillows comfortable but the bed creaked loudly with even just a nudge, it was noisy when you moved.

Bare Bones

I stayed in this apartment with my family for 4 nights. Communication from the host was poor from the off. Messages were not replied to, requests were ignored. Upon arrival we found the apartment essentially as advertised but be warned that it is bare bones. The apartment kitchen is not equipped with sufficient utensils, the bathroom had only one roll of toilet paper, and the host failed to pay their gas bill and heating was shut off in the apartment. I texted the host for instructions and never received a response. Only with fantic google searching was I able to determine how to read and operate the gas meter and release 10 pounds of emergency gas supply. For the price we were not expecting much, and we were more or less satisfied with the accommodations. It was a place to sleep and that's really all we needed. But to have the gas shut off and the apartment go cold was unacceptable, at any price, and the complete failure of the host to acknowledge this or engage in any communication is a black mark against the host and VRBO. I cannot recommend this apartment purely because of the conduct of the host.

This is anything but delightful! The apartment is on the top of a 4-storey building without an elevator. The communal area had no light, except dim natural light from a small window on the roof. There was garbage all over the place and the communal area was filthy. Some of the stair steps were uneven and they were unsafe to walk on especially in the dark. The description says there are plenty of free parking spaces around the building. This is misleading. Parking spaces are largely reserved for permit holders. I was lucky to find a space after driving for 20 min and it cost 12 pounds to park between 6:30pm and 8:30am every day. The apartment is spacious and centrally located. However the furniture was covered with dust and the bedding sheet and blankets feel like they have not been washed properly. One of the window frame was broken and glass was exposed. I tried to call and text the host multiple times after discovering the above problems, but no response. We reserved for 3 nights and left without staying one night since we cannot contact the host to try to address the above problems. It is an unsafe place to stay and we ended up paying for 3 nights of expensive hotel rooms downtown Edinburgh.

Sehr gute Lage

Das Bett war ein bisschen knarzig. Das Fenster im Wohnzimmer im sollte man nicht öffnen. Da beim Schließen, der untere Teil des Fensterrahmen ausbricht. Diese könnte einfach mit ein bisschen Leim repariert werden.
