Sotto nuova proprietà dal maggio 2017. Situato nel cuore del quartiere storico di Charleston, Southern Comfort è attraccato presso la Marina di Charleston e meno di 50 metri dal nostro parcheggio.

Siamo a 3 isolati dalla batteria storica appena oltre la stazione di guardia costiera e sei "blocchi di città" da Meeting Street e dalla zona di mercato.

Dalle splendide case architettoniche della Battery e dai migliori ristoranti del sud, agli artisti e ai negozi di antiquariato, Charleston è un posto diverso da qualsiasi altro.

Below Deck

Such a cool experience to stay on a yacht! Captain Dave was very responsive. The coffee pot was unusable so he promptly went out and bought a brand new which was most appreciated. I was surprised that you couldn't feel the movement (rocking) of the yacht at all. I would highly recommend staying on Southern Comfort!

Girls Weekend Getaway

Perfect place for our girls weekend. Location is great as well. We each had our own room and bathroom which was a plus. It was so nice to sit in the living room each morning while having our coffee telling stories about the night before. Salty Dogs is a great hole in the wall to start your nightly adventures. Be sure to bring towels and paper products as toilet paper and paper towels were limited. Enjoy!

Weekday fishing trip

Owner came on the property without warning while we were away. Totally against VRBO . Air conditioning went out and owner completely lost his composure . We left a day early.

Something Different

It's a great way to experience something different. It's a boat understand what your booking. Master suite was excellent, galley has plenty of space, and solon is well appointed. Flybridge gives you a nice outdoor space to hang out.

Unforgettable Experience

We had a wonderful weekend on the Southern Comfort. Sitting on the fly bridge was so perfect that we did not to want to leave to go to downtown Charleston. Sleeping accommodations other than in the main bedroom are very cramped for people taller than 5’8”.

Ask for what you need

We are not sorry we had this experience on a lively yacht, but we would most likely not rebook. Booked for 6 adults - only had towels for 4. Only 2 coffee mugs available. Overall, the Southern Comfort provided us with a memorable experience we enjoyed.

Definitely a different experience

We stayed here for a wedding with a family of 4 (2 teens) and my parents. The boat is beautiful and what an experience to stay on a yacht!!!

Girlfriend trip

We loved out stay on the Southern Comfort. Great location close to downtown. Very good restaurant in the marina with a fun dive bar attached. The boat was very nice and spacious. Captain Dave was very responsive to all of my questions. Overall wonderful experience

Small family wedding

Our daughter has a really small wedding - seven people total!!! Renting this yacht was perfect for our needs. Easy in and to go places we needed to go. The wedding actually took place on the top deck right before sunset and was lovely. The furniture in the lounge area was very comfortable and there was room for all of us. If you rent this boat remember it is an older boat. The owner is working to repair that are worn or have been abused by other renters but they posed no problems. We loved staying on such a classic boat.

Fun Book Club Experience

We spent two nights on the yacht at the end of our Savannah/Charleston trip. We enjoyed the unique experience of staying on a yacht and found the Southern Comfort to be a clean, well-organized VRBO. We did not cook much, but the kitchen was larger and better appointed than we had anticipated. Instructions from Matthew were clear and helped us settle in to our brief experience of living on a boat. Our only difficulties were bunks too short for adult men and air conditioning that was difficult to keep at a comfortable temperature. We also found the cost of vehicle parking at the marina to be somewhat high. All in all, a fun end to our trip!

About the owners:
Capt. Dave has been boating for over 25 years, holds a USCG 200 ton Masters license and also owns the Charter boat “Hatterass” directly in front of “Southern Comfort” as well as " Ship of Fools" just around the corner. We encourage you to book a charter with us and experience Charleston in a way that few visitors get the opportunity to.

We Married in May of 2000 and left Connecticut in 2013, moving to Charleston. We wanted to pursue our love of boating and be on the water all year round.

We started Carolina Marine Group in 2013 providing harbor tours. We have been building the business and the brand ever since. Our mission is to provide the best on the water experience in the greatest city in the US. We took ownership of “Southern Comfort” in 2017 to expand our operation and to provide our water loving guests a unique way of spending their time in Charleston.

We hope your stay with us is a memorable one and you fall in love with this great city as much as we have. Enjoy your stay and if there is anything we can do to make it more enjoyable don’t hesitate to ask.
