Fresh and tranquil 2 Bedroom next to Roman Castle
Escape the city chaos and heat at this fresh and tranquil castle getaway.
THE SPACE
Relax in this beautiful flat situated in an unspoiled medieval village castle only 10 minutes to Tivoli and 35 minutes by car from Rome.
PRIVATE INTERNET AND WORKSPACE
Beautifully restored ancient apartment in the walls of the majestic Castello di Brancaccio, a medieval village (borgo) in the beautiful and unspoiled countryside and rolling hills of the Lazio. Visit this quaint and ideal Italian town, taste local food and wine of the area and hike the trails with olive groves lined with Roman aqueduct and rivers and just 10 minutes from Tivoli, Villa d'Este, Villa Adriana, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a 30 min drive from the center of Rome. Relax and wander the cobblestone streets in the old town of San Gregorio da Sassola.
Experience the beauty and authenticity of a timeless and protected environment of authentic Italian architecture. Have breakfast in one of the local cafes or have a private breakfast on one of the terraces overlooking the rolling hills of olive groves.
Wake to the sound of birds, well-rested from the most comfortable beds you've ever slept in. Have coffee on your balcony overlooking the amazing mountain hillside view. Experience slow living and dining on typical Italian cheeses, prosciutto, bread and olive oil. Wander out to get your fresh bread daily from the small local shops. Have your afternoon aperitif of choice in the café of the local town square. Or let me plan a lunch picnic when it's not too hot for you and your partner surrounded by the rolling hills ancient ruins and field's of olive groves for an extra cost. Also we can set up a private cooking session with one of the lovely local home cooks and learn to make homemade Italian pasta. As an additional service let me stock your kitchen with produce, meats, eggs and dairy from local farmers, that will be available upon arrival and will allow you to create meals or your very own charcuterie board.
GUEST ACCESS
You will have quiet street-level access to the airy, private holiday flat, accessible by two steps only. There is a lovely well-stocked kitchen, one bathroom with shower and extravagant toiletries and large combination living and dining area. There is a 55 inch smart tv and Netflix/Disney+/AppleTV+/Amazon Prime and YouTube. Use the private internet and compact work space with desk if work calls.
Your two bedrooms have the most glorious views, one with a balcony where you can sit and read, enjoy your morning coffee or a charcuterie board made up from lovely local produce and a bottle of wine.
And if Rome or Tivoli sights or dining beckon, I will make private arrangements for you to suit your schedule. There is good bus and train service so a car while desirable, it is not essential. When one first thinks of Italy, one thinks of the rolling hills and romantic countryside bathed in ethereallight and the copious amounts of wine and cheese. For those who decide to visit this hilltop village, (or borgo as it is called here) this is a dream come true and more. Located close enough to Tivoli and Rome that you don't feel completely isolated but at the same time you get to escape the chaos of city life. Your neighborhood has a local bakery, stores to buy all of the groceries or anything you may need during your stay as well as all of the most incredible local treats such as wine and cheese and locally grown produce. Cafes, ATM and pharmacy. All a stone's throw from your front door.
Not to mention fabulous trails for hiking and serious cycling. Rivers and waterfalls.
