Questo casolare ristrutturato conserva ancora le antiche caratteristiche che gli danno un sacco di carattere - vecchi caminetti e porte e tortuosa vecchia scala.

E 'situato nel centro della città, in modo che tutti i siti storici, i ristoranti di classe mondiale, bar, teatro dal vivo e mercati sono molto pochi passi, ci sono anche molte piacevoli passeggiate e piste ciclabili lungo il fiume e salire sulla famosa South Downs.

Questo cottage rende una base molto accogliente e confortevole per tornare dopo una giornata di visite o al lavoro, e la ben attrezzata cucina / sala da pranzo vi invita a gustare un pasto, cucinato da voi stessi o un take-away - possiamo anche organizzare un cuoco per fare una cena romantica per voi se desiderate.

Durante i mesi estivi si può godere il giardino con terrazza per mangiare all'aperto o per rilassarsi, questo si accede da una rampa di scale piuttosto ripide.

Ein schöner Urlaub, aber mit Makel

Gute und ruhige Lage. Die High Street und das Zentrum waren in kurzer Zeit fußläufig zu erreichen. Sehr gut hat das Parken in der Straße geklappt. Leider stimmte das Foto vom Wohnzimmer in der Anzeige bei Fewo-direkt nicht mit der Realität überein. Auf dem Foto wirkt es hell und freundlich, in Wirklichkeit wirkt es etwas in Jahre gekommen (z.B. der freundliche Teppich auf dem Foto wurde durch einen alten ersetzt). Leider war der Kühlschrank nicht sauber, Reste vom Vormieter waren vorhanden und Schrankfächer im 2. Zimmer bedurften einer Reinigung.

A good choice

The house was well presented & as per the published description. It was in a very good location with a very easy walk into the city & attractions. The outside sitting area was good, although as stated by the owner, the steps were steep but manageable & I am in my eighties. The outside table has seen better days. Inside was OK, again the stairs were steep but manageable. An enjoyable place to stay.

Unpleasant stay

Very unpleasant experience for the 10 days I stayed in the house. The furniture in the house is very dilapidated and the outdoor furniture was broken and usuable when I arrived. In addition, on one day there was a gabbage came out in the courtyard which I suppose is private. Upon enquiry, the host told me that it was shared with another house. Subsequently, the information shown on the website was amended accordingly. The host is not very friendly at all.

Very nice property centrally located in Winchester

Really enjoyed our stay - the cottage is very nice and really couldn't be closer to the centre for access to historic sites (cathedral, college etc) and shops. Also convenient for walks out along the river and up St Catherine's Hill for great views. Good kitchen facilities etc within the property. Host was helpful as and when needed.

An English Christmas

We spent two weeks at the Pilgrims Way cottage. It was clean, comfortable and within 7-8 minutes walk to High Street and the Cathedral. The kitchen was fully furnished and we cooked several meals for 7 people there. The beds were comfortable and the shower worked perfectly. We spent time with our son and his family who live in Winchester and it was a special time of year. The Christmas market and the activities at the Cathedral were an added treat. We will definitely consider booking this cottage for future visits.

Sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes kleines Reihenhaus in optimaler Lage zum historischen Stadtzentrum: Ruhig, aber dennoch nur 5 Minuten in die Fußgängerzone. Die Ausstattung war mehr als komplett, sehr sauber und optimal für Eltern mit 2 Teenies. Da auch das Wetter mitspielte war es ein wundervoller Urlaub, leider nur zu kurz.

Great cottage in fab location

This is a lovely, comfortable and clean cottage. Ideal location for exploring Winchester on foot. The photo of the rear steps is accurate but guests should note that access from the front of the property is easy with only one small step up to the front door so don’t be put off. Parking permit provided. Caroline was easy to communicate with. An all round enjoyable stay.

Coronation week in Winchester

Perfect little cottage with character, walking distance to high street shops, cathedral, river Itchen paths and numerous pubs! Watched the coronation at the cathedral with relatives Close to many Hampshire attractions ; Jane Austen’s house, Stonehenge and Salisbury Winchester is a lovely town a shirt train ride from London

A lovely home away from home.

The town of Winchester is well worth an extended visit as there is lots to see in the town and surrounding area. The accommodation was very clean, well equipped and homey. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it.

Easy booking and check-in process. Owner very responsive to queries. Great base in Winchester, easy walking distance into the town centre and well located for river walks and play grounds. Parking permit provided so easy if driving to the cottage and also for doing day trips.

Perfect for a short break

A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage is very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay . The milk, biscuits and Prosecco were unexpected and very welcome ! Provision of a visitor parking permit meant we could park easily in the street.

Lovely, well-equipped cottage in a perfect location.

Excellent stay, except for two errors in the online listing, which did not realy effect us: The facilities list a washer and drier - it's only a washer; also listed is satellite or cable - there is only FreeView. Minor points, but the listing should be amended.

Great location, clean, comfortable & homely

It suited us (two adults and a toddler) perfectly for a 6 night stay in Winchester. Nice big kitchen-diner. Lovely quiet road, very close to town centre, short walks, playgrounds etc. Always found there was space to park outside the property, using the parking permit provided.

Very nice cottage

We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed being in this cottage. It is very well located and suited our purpose perfectly. It suited our family of 4 whilst we explored Winchester and visited family and friends.

Charming little cottage

Perfect for what we were looking for. Caroline was very quick to reply to any questions we had and was very kind and helpful which made our stay fantastic. The location of the property was amazing - we walked everywhere! I would highly recommend staying at this property and would love to stay again. Caroline made us feel very welcome!

Brilliant location. Cosy cottage with everything we needed.

Really enjoyed staying in the cottage. It’s location meant that everything was easy walking distance. The cottage is well equipped and thoughtful touches like fresh milk in the fridge etc were much appreciated. Caroline also kindly accommodated us when we brought our arrival date forward.

5-day pleasant stay in St John.

We had a 5-day pleasant stay in this cottage second week of December. All equipment worked and we easily could set the temperature to our conveniance. Sitting and sleeping were all very relaxing. The location so near the centre, but in a quiet lane is very nice. The only negative remark to be made is that there are two nails sticking out in the carpet of the staircase. Walking bare foot was an unpleasant surprise. I am sure that this inconveniance will be removed quickly.

Relax and dine al fresco in the sunny garden in the summer, or enjoy cooking and eating in the stylish kitchen and chilling out in the sitting room with its original fireplace lit up by candles.
