Peaceful start

Our weekend getaway

Unaware of where the road was going to lead us. We pulled up to a very cozy homie atmosphere. The guest house accommodations were very comfortable and made you feel that it was a home away from home.

Farm, River, History

The farm wonderfully served as a home base for exploring the Columbia/Marietta area along the banks of the Susquehanna. The apartment, connected to the house, but with a room separating the apartment from the main living quarters, was quiet, homey, plenty spacious, and as private as one would want. The hosts were very nice, very accommodating and welcoming. The farm is not far from Columbia, Marietta or Lancaster, and is on top of a hill with great views in every direction, and a good place for sky gazing. It was so much fun returning to the farm and all the animals - goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and ducks - after a long day doing outdoor stuff, mostly hiking the trails along the river, and exploring the remnants of the 19th-century furnaces and other industrial history of the area. Walking around Columbia was cool too. It was a very fun place to hang out. Highly recommended!

Perfect getaway

Our stay was perfect! The space was so cozy and comfy. Emily was super sweet and attentive. The highlight of our stay were the baby lambs born on our day of arrival and another set on our day of departure so cute! I would definitely come back here and recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway. Thank you.

THE BEST in Pennsylvania

If you're looking for a unique & cozy spot, this is it! Emily was so helpful and communicative. The barns, the animals and the guest suite were like a dream come true for me--- I didn't want to park in the city--- but this offered so much more than I expected. I even had farm fresh EGGS waiting for me!

This one large one room property is tastefully decorated with an equiped kitchen and gas fireplace. It is on a farm in a rural location. Guests are invited to visit and feed the farm animals. The host is very helpful and accomidating. Be sure to get your groceries in town on your way there.

Hershey getaway

The guest house was just as described. Very secluded the driveway is a long way off the highways. The bathroom is a bit small but it was adequate. The farm animals were great loved feeding the sheep and cows. They loved the animal crackers.

Emily’s communication was prompt and informative. Loved the farm. Slightly difficult to find after dark but our eyes are a bit old. Emily provided some detail to use along with our navigation app. We will absolutely return if we are in the area again.

Lovely cottage

Property was exceptionally clean and cozy. Much attention was given to details such as a rocking chair, books, and comfy throws. The bed was cozy and comfortable. The farm animals were an added benefit. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Adorable guest house with friendly animals

The one-room cottage is perfect for one or two people. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the grounds well kept. Snacks are provided for the animals. The bathroom is a bit small, but it has the first handheld shower I have seen in a rental. I wish I had stayed 2 nights.

Our two night stay was excellent!

Emily and Craig were the prefect hosts. Both were so very helpful. We went for a wedding and it was such a great alternative to the chain hotels in Hershey. I would highly recommend these accommodations!

Hidden Gem (the property and hosts)

If you are reading this review and wondering whether to book or not, just go ahead and book. This is the most magical property, run by the most genuine, kind hosts. Not only did we love every second of our stay because of the grounds and attentiveness of our hosts, or the farm fresh eggs each day, but Emily went above and beyond by helping us with some car trouble we were having. She even checked in while we were at the mechanic to see if we needed help. Emily and Craig are truly good people, and you will feel that as soon as you meet them. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The home is nestled away amid beautiful corn fields and sprawling land. There are adorable animals and chickens, apple trees and breathtaking views. We absolutely loved spending time outside, soaking in the scene. The space itself is cozy and comfortable. It is one main room (imagine a studio apartment) but with a fireplace, access to an additional bathroom and pool. The bed was plush and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the kitchen was easy to navigate. We had such a great time and plan to return!
