Wow, wow! The apartment is amazing, with a superb view of the coast, very clean, in perfect order. But let me tell you more about the owners. When we travel, we always look for great places, but sometimes, we also find amazing people. Luigi, Lidia and their 3 kids are amongst the greatest people we met while traveling.
You will really feel that you are renting their personal place, not just a business rental. You will be greeted like a long time friend, Lidia and the kids keep the place immaculate, and Luigi keeps everything working perfectly. The decor is very well chosen and makes you feel the coastal life. We chose the place for the view and the location, but our greatest memories of our apartment in Forore Amalfi coast are with our hosts. We invited them one night for a glass of wine and had a great time with them. Luigi even gave us home made Limoncello from his Mom. So nice of them.
More about the apartment, the Ancora is the lower apartment and the Arcare is the upper. We had the Ancora for 6 nights. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, great kitchen, living area, a huge outside patio with a table, a wood BBQ. Perfect for a longer stay. The upstairs is a little larger, but we preferred our Ancora for a couple. Walking distance, we found a great restaurant the Bacco, which won a Michelin award, and also the Marisa Cuomo vineyard which is a great visit. You will be surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, lemon trees, nature and a great costal view. We even see the tip of the rocks at Capri island from the deck!
A note on public transport, we had a car so the free parking was great. We tried the bus but it was much easier using the car because the bus schedule is not as frequent. Furore is a quieter village. There is a great hike called Sentiero Deigli Dei, for hikers
