Great Kitchen with Subzero Wolf appliances. Pet friendly as I am a Cat person. Great deck and a Bar in the basement. Leave a tip if you drink my beer and liquor. Lots to do close by. Lots of bars and restaurants close by.

I allow pets. Visit my neighbor's house as she has a Private Dog Park.

Dirty nasty feces and cat piss

Couldnt even sleep there the place smelled like straight cat pee and had real feces present horrible cant believe they allow this place to stay on VRBO

Madison Weekend

Terrible smell of cat urine throughout the house. Toaster didn’t work. No soap in bathroom or kitchen. Front landscape was full of sticker plants the can stick you when walking in the front foor

Misleading

The property wreaked of cat urine. One of our party is very allergic. The cat wasn’t mentioned until the property was booked and then mentioned only on the day of arrival. We did not stay there and have not been refunded any of our money.

Wow, its that bad

The listing is deceiving that its a 4 bedroom, but its only 2 rooms there. There was a cat in the house (my family allergic) We were going to stay with two dogs. House had cat pee and feces throughout the house with a terrible smell. There were personal items all over the house and in the rooms we would have had to stay in. The house was very unclean. We tried to get back stay money since we didn't stay from owner and VRBO no luck. Madison gas and electric showed up and shut a service off. VRBO said if we can get that record we could get a refund, but they will not release the records. The fridge and freezer had a lot of personal items in it, we were trying to move son from one apartment to another. We had perishable items that went bad ($300) worth. Look elsewhere, and the responses I got from VRBO was terrible, time wasting, and not at all helpful. Its a health hazard but they don't care.

A professional cleaning please

I read Cathleen S’s review (July 7, 2024) after booking and I was quite nervous about the house. When I mentioned the review to the owner, I did not receive an answer. Unfortunately, her review was quite accurate. In addition to what she pointed out, there were several punch holes on the master bedroom door, the bedroom wall, and in the bathroom. My husband had to trim the thistle surrounding the walkway to the door, so our granddaughters would not get poked when they visited. The downstairs was so filthy, we did not go back down. I’ve got the pictures to prove everything Cathleen S. and I have said. Wow.

Sorry, but do not stay here

It stunk of cat urine and was bot clean. Owner was very polite. 4 bedroom but 2 beds. Only stayed 1 of my 2 nights. Vrbo no help in getting refund. They don't care. I should have read the other review.

Beware

Property was not ready even 4 hours after check-in time. Disregard for guests’ expectations for cleanliness and condition of property (broken grill, very dirty carpets, animal residue). We were not staying there and did not do so. There is no refund or acknowledgment of basic, normal expectations.

Fishing outing

Fished the Madison chain while we stayed here. 20 minutes to the ramp. Plenty of places to eat in neighborhood easy gas stops on easy to ramp. Plenty of room to move around in house for the four of us. Driveway and street parking were available for two bass boats and trucks. Electric hook up was great for charging batteries.

We Got What We Paid For, Maybe Less

This property did not have great photos and 0 reviews so we were hesitant to book. But the location was what we wanted & with a better price point than other options in Madison. I contacted property owner & he assured me it was a normal house that is occupied when not hosting. And only 2 rooms were available, not 4 as advertised in the listing. So we booked for 2 nights & considered requesting a 3rd night after we saw the place. Upon arrival we were happy with the location and neighborhood. Normal suburban neighborhood with nice landscaping. This property’s yard was overgrown & not maintained but that didn’t bother us. It was the awful smell of the house when we walked in that was the first red flag. It smelled like animal & air freshener. There was black dust all over the fan in the living room. A pile of dishes in the sink covered with a towel. A dishwasher full of dishes - not able to tell if dirty or clean. We immediately opened windows to allow air in while we explored. Positives: lots of televisions, nice appliances, a nice back deck. Negatives: dirty cabinets, full trash can in kitchen, lightbulbs needed replacing, bedrooms were dank, mattress dirty, sheets seemingly unclean, guest towels were stained and had holes… generally the property was not well presented for paying guests. As I told the host, if we were friends crashing at a friend’s place, that would be one thing. We tried to get out of the 2nd night but Vrbo told us to work it out with the host.
