on arrival at La Polombara we were greeted by the owner larrisa, who is very passionate about the house and the Sabina region, it did not take long to see why. The house itself is amazing, its immaculate and the 360 degree views are breathtaking.
The house is ideally located in the quiet region of Sabina and is a short drive into the medieval town of Casperia, which is worth taking a look at, especially on an evening.
Larrisa promotes the area along with her friend Laura,Laura offers to show you the sites, smells and tastes of the region and its an experience not to pass, especially the olive oil, honey and porchetta tasting, which is made by her farther in law. Even after the hustle and bustle of Rome you could come back to a home cooked meal italian style as Larrisa,s friend Francesca will do this for you at a small price this was a lovely experience, which I must say was delicious. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant La Vecchia Quercia in Selci. the Pizzas are huge!. Rome is about an hours drive and Florence about 2.5 hours, the house is a really good base should you wish to travel around. Larrisa and her friends made the holiday special and were so helpful, we have some lovely memories, we enjoyed the house and the area so much, we are going back next year
thank you all again.
