A lovely place to stay. A great house, a wonderfull swimmingpool and not forget two wonderfull and fantastic owners: Dora and Sergio. Pistoia is a nice village to visit and not far to visit also Firenze, Lucca and Pisa. Thank for your kindness Dora and Sergio. Love Family Simoen ( we hope to see you again)

Charming hospitality

Dora's hospitality is second to none. A warm welcome, gifts of home made local specialities and suggestions for visits. The property is set in the hills with wonderful views and is a great base location. The bedrooms are on a mezzanine open to the main room and the property is decorated with eclectic artistic charm. It is the polar opposite of the rather bland sparse decor you find in many rentals. The pool (shared only with the very considerate owners) is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and will remember it fondly.

Una casa che fa volare

We stayed one week in summer 2017 in Dora an Sergio's most beautiful site. We felt most comfortable there. The house is located quite high up the mountains near Pistoia. Do not loose patience when passing the small streets through Torbecchia and up towards San Vito. You will have been sent excellent directions to find the place, just follow them! You will arrive at very large premises with lawn, oil trees, wine and some more nice trees and bushes and most likely at first be welcomed by Gipsy the friendly dog. Dora will be there then to present the guest house and garden. This lovely house is well equipped and decorated with warm love and exquisite taste. You will find many pictures of your host's family and even some canvas painted by Dora herself who among many remarkable skills also is a gifted artist. The house's large garden is equipped with several terraces providing calm and sunny places. You are allowed to use all these nice places as well as the large swimming pool. We especially recommend the upper terrace's breathtaking view at night presenting the enlightened towns of Pistoia, Prato and Florence at your feet! Your hosts are very friendly and warm persons who make any effort to help their guests and make them really feel at home. They live next house and are accessible at any time. We were lucky to have met Dora and Sergio, hoping not for the last time! To summarize: It is a perfect place to stay for holidays. Drive down the street and in a few minutes you are in Pistoia to do the shopping. In Pistoia you can easily take the motorway to explore all the Tuscany highlights. And when you return to your domicile the world's trouble and hectic rush seems to disappear immediately. Una casa che fa volare – a house that makes you fly! Monika & Giorgio

Excellent sejour

La maison possède tout le confort nécessaire. La piscine est entièrement privée. Dora et son mari nous ont accueilli les bras ouverts et ont su nous conseiller des endroits magnifiques. Ils sont d’une extrême gentillesse et très généreux. Toutes les petites attentions à notre égard ont fait que nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite chez nous. Nous sommes heureux de les avoir rencontrés. Une dolce vita à l’italienne.

Séjour agréable

Propriété avec belle piscine. Dora est très agréable et donne de très bons conseils. La vue sur la plaine de l'Arno est splendide. Petit bémol quand même, il n'y a pas deux réelles chambres, mais une mezzanine séparée en deux par une cloisons et séparée de la salle par des rideaux. Mais au final, nous n'avons pas vu passer les trois semaines.

Superbes vacances en Italie!

Très bon accueil par Dora qui est une propriétaire qui sait prendre soin de ses locataires avec des petites attentions et des bons conseils. La location est située dans un lieu magnifique très arboré et avec une vue splendide sur Pistoia. Nous avons adoré notres séjour !!!

Superbe domaine avec une vue époustouflante sur Pistoia by night

Notre hôte Dora nous a chaleureusement accueilli, et nous a fait sentir comme à la maison. Le domaine était très calme, mais quand même près de la ville de Pistoia et a une demi heure de Florence, ce qui est un bonne base pour découvrir la Toscane. Les enfants ont bien profité de la piscine et du Wifi 😉. Ils ont été gâté par notre hôte qui aime clairement les enfants, ainsi que les animaux. Tous les appareils électroménagers étaient aussi présents pour rendre ce séjour très agréable, ont le recommande a tout le monde!

Fantastique !

La propriété est magnifique! La route pour y accéder a certes de nombreux tournants, mais c’est faisable et ça donne du charme aux vacances… Dora est une hôte formidable, on a été accueillis comme des membres de sa famille ! La piscine est magnifique et à usage privé. La location est totalement indépendante. Intimité garantie .La location est bien équipée. Allez y les yeux fermés ! Encore merci Dora!

Une parenthèse enchantée en Italie

Mon mari et mes filles qui découvraient pour la première fois l’Italie n’ont qu’une envie : revenir dans cette maison pour de prochaines vacances. Schlimmste Urlaubserfahrung

Leider war das unsere größte Urlaubsenttäuschung bisher. Bevor wir ankamen, war die Kommunikation kurz, jedoch sehr nett. Auf dem Bildern kann man erkennen, dass die Einrichtung ein wenig altmodisch und klassisch aussieht, es ist jedoch nicht ansatzweise zu erkennen, dass es sich eigentlich um eine Art „Messi-Haus“ mit alter Oma Geruch handelt. Leider war von Privatsphäre auch nicht viel zu sehen, da Doras Garten Direkt auf den Pool blickt. Privatssphäre ist damit nicht gegeben. Außerdem bellen die zwei Hunde sehr stark. Man muss der fernes halber jedoch sagen, dass wir nicht wissen ob das bellen die ganze Zeit anhält, da wir von dem Gesamteindruck und der schmutzigen Unterkunft (z.B. Eierschalenrest im Kühlschrank und staubige Oberflächen), so geschockt waren, dass wir nach etwa 1 Stunde wieder abgereist sind und uns ein Hotel für die Nacht in Florenz gesucht haben. Summa summarum kann man sagen, dass die Bilder stark täuschen und nicht das wiedergeben was man vorfindet. Für uns war das sehr schade da wir uns auf unseren Urlaub extrem gefreut haben und unsere Wünsche vor ab mit Dora besprochen haben.

Magnifique séjour, calme et beautés

Le séjour chez Dora fut magnifique et remplit de délicatesse. La maison est remplie d'objets d'art qui accompagnent votre délassement. La piscine est formidable et le jardin est parsemé de différents espaces arrangés avec goût pour manger, lire ou se reposer. La vue sur la vallée est évidemment à couper le souffle. Pour finir, Dora est une hôte parfaitement attentionnée, délicate et respectueuse. Nous espérons pour voir y revenir.

Sommerferien in den Hügeln der Toscana

Wir wurden von Dora und ihrem Mann Sergio sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Objekt entspricht genau den Fotos der Anzeige. Einzig die Lage empfanden wir als abgelegener als man durch die Anzeige vermutet. Es führt eine schmale gewundene Strasse bergauf während 10, 15 Minuten (Auto) durch dichten Wald vorbei an einigen wenigen Häusern. Wenn man einkaufen, etwas unternehmen oder essen gehen will, benötigt man dafür das Auto, da man diese Strecke immer zuerst zurück legen muss. Dafür ist die Aussicht auf Pistoia vom Garten aus sehr schön und man wohnt abgeschieden in der Natur, mitten in den Olivenbäumen. Nachts kann man zum Zirpen der Grillen auf das Lichtermeer blicken, was toll ist! Dora ist sehr hilfsbereit, herzlich und jederzeit erreichbar wenn man Hilfe braucht, ein Anliegen oder eine Frage hat. In der Wohnung ist es nicht ganz einfach seine Sachen unterzubringen, da viel Dekomaterial steht, das sieht man aber schon auf den Fotos und kann sich damit arrangieren. Die beiden Schlafzimmer auf der Gallerie lassen sich mit Vorhängen vom Wohnraum abtrennen, so wird es genügend dunkel um erholsam schlafen zu können. Die Küche reicht aus um einfache Menus und Frühstück zuzubereiten. Draussen im wunderschönen Garten kann man herrlich Zeit verbringen, der Pool war das Highlight unserer Ferien und wir genossen ganze Tage dort. Danke Dora und Sergio für die tolle Zeit!

Traumhaft schön

Wir durften im Juni 2021 für zwei Wochen bei Dora und Sergio zu Gast sein. Vorweg: Es war einfach Traumhaft! Nach der langen Pause durch Corona, hatten wir das Glück gerade passend unseren Urlaub antreten zu können. Es gab immer noch kleine Einschränkungen im Land und so konnten wir die Vorzüge der Unterkunft von Dora und Sergio nutzen. Das traumhafte Wetter hat uns einige fantastische Tage am wunderschönen großen Pool beschert. Die Milden Nächte waren im Haus super aushaltbar. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Ansonsten hat uns Dora immer direkt geholfen und war immer ansprechbar. Trotzdem haben wir es kaum bemerkt, dass sie ja auch noch auf dem Gelände wohnt. Das Gelände ist sehr groß und Dora und Sergio pflegen es akribisch. Der Blick bis nach Florenz ist sowohl tagsüber wie auch in der Nacht unbeschreiblich. Zudem haben wir jede Nacht tausende Glühwürmchen sehen können. Ein fantastisches Naturereignis. Zu Dora haben wir eine richtig herzliche Freundschaft entwickelt. Sie ist ein absoluter Herzensmensch und macht es möglich, dass man sich als Gäste wie zu Hause fühlt. Ihre Pasta ist phänomenal. Wer die Chance hat, diesen Menschen kennenzulernen, sollte es tun. Sowas haben wir bisher in keiner Unterkunft erlebt. Vielen Dank für die wundervolle Zeit. Wir sehen uns nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder!

Fantastico!

Dora and Sergio are charming and hospitable hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this bucolic idyll. The approach is spectacular up a steep and winding mountain road and the views at the top are breathtaking. On arrival Dora greeted us like we were family and she even baked us a cake and left a cold bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. The accommodation is spacious and homely and the swimming pool is superb and considerably bigger than it appears in the photographs. All of this is in a wonderful setting of olive and lemon trees, grape vines and stunning mountain views. Lucca and Florence are both easily reached by car or train, as are the beaches of the Italian Riviera. The only negative was the extreme heat, totally beyond our hosts' control but the property would benefit from full aircon. Many thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us Dora and Sergio, we are sad it was only for 6 nights :-) Grazie mille!!

Unforgettable holiday 2019 in " il Fenile"

As a family (two adults and two young ladies) we were the guests in Dora’s superb refuge called “il Fenile” in the mountains of Pistoia in hot July 2019. The wonderful view over the valley is in reality even more overwhelming than the photos do suggest, in the evening you can enjoy it with a glass of wine from the terraces. Pistoia is in an ideal and well-centered place. Everything is within reach, towards either the sea, such as Viareggio, Lucca, Pisa, Vinci, and Siena or many places more, just Florence is highly recommended by train. You get used to the mountainous approach and enjoy it after some time. Pistoia itself offers many shopping opportunities with small and large shops, very good restaurants (tip: Osteria del Canbiancho) as well as a very nice old downtown. During 14 days, we could enjoy the peace, the pleasant climate, the great pool, the inviting garden, the loving furnishing of the house with true works of art, and above all enjoy the hospitality with emphasis on friendship of Dora and Sergio. It is not possible to be welcomed friendlier and looked after than here. You feel at home within half an hour, regeneration and relaxation could start. The hosts are always open-hearted, helpful and provide tips and recommendations and they help you when you need it. Caro saluti a Dora e Sergio, ci auguriamo di tornare presto. Mille grazie Dora!

Wir suchten das Objekt aus, da wir von der Lage und natürlich den Bildern des Objektes angetan waren. Was soll ich sagen? So ein herzliches Willkommen durften wir noch nie erleben. Die Vermieterin erwartete uns freudestrahlend mit einer festen Umarmung für jeden von uns ( 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder). Zur Begrüßung hatte sie einen Kuchen gebacken, Prosecco und Bio-Saft kalt gestellt. Nach kurzem Rundgang sprangen die Kinder, und auch wenig später wir Erwachsenen in den äußerst sauberen Pool, welcher täglich mit frischem Wasser gefüllt wurde. Erst nach der Abkühlung nahmen wir die liebevolle Einrichtung des Hauses in Augenschein. Die Lage des Objektes liegt auf einem Berg oberhalb von Pistoia, welches man vor allem am Abend bewundern kann. Von Pistoia geht es schnell mit dem Zug nach Florenz, alles so einfach unkompliziert- es fährt glaube ich, alle 30 min. ein Zug. Allerdings sollte man sich auch Pistoia mit ein wenig Zeit anschauen. Unsere stets um uns besorgte Vermieterin Dora übertraf sich mehrmals selbst als sie uns typisch toskanischen Gerichte servierte. Diese nahmen wir nach einem anstrengenden Ausflug gerne an. Der rothaarige Engel in Form der Vermieterin ließ uns jedoch zu jeder Zeit unsere Privatsphäre. Sollten wir Fragen haben, konnten wir uns jederzeit an sie wenden- selbst im Restaurant fragte sie aufgrund unserer mangelnden Italienischkenntnisse nach einem Platz. Wir mussten uns nach 7 Tagen leider von Dora und ihrem Mann verabschieden, was auf allen Seiten zu Abschiedstränen führte. Doch wir kommen wieder. Dann allerdings im Frühling oder Herbst- die Temoeraturen sind dann etwas erträglicher. ;-) Fazit: - alle eingestellten Bilder entsprechen der Realität - die Lage ist phänomenal - in der Nähe finden sich viele andere Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, auch wenn man für Florenz schon mehrere Tage benötigt Unser Dank gilt Dora, die wir nicht vergessen werden und hoffentlich noch einige Male sehen

An amazing view point, a quiet and lovely place, and keen and adorable hosts. Our most excellent holiday for years. A perfect starting point to visit Pistoia, Lucca, Vinci, Collodi (i bet your kid will love it !), and of course Firenze if your stay is long enough... Sehr schöner Aufenthalt!!

Schon die Begrüßung durch Dora, die Vernieterin, war ausgesprochen herzlich. Da wir etwas zu früh waren, war noch nicht alles bereit, aber das war ja unser Fehler. Direkt mit ein paar typisch toskanischen Spezialitäten verwöhnt worden. Das ging auch während unseres Aufenthaltes so weiter. Außenanlage mit Pool super, ein traumhafter Ausblick, wie auf den Bildern. Allerdings, das ist eine sehr subjektive Sichtweise, eignet sich das Haus nicht, wenn es schlechtes Wetter gibt. Für deutsche Interessenten sei gesagt, falls davon die Buchungsentscheidung abhängt, dass hier kein deutsches SAT-TV verfügbar ist. Uns hat es nicht gefehlt, da wir so tolles Wetter hatten, dass wir nur zum Schlafen imHaus waren. Aber wie gesagt, bei schlechtem Wetter hätte man keinerlei Ablenkung. Innen ist es ein bißchen wie in einem Antiquitätenladen. Viele kleine Möbelstücke, vielleicht sogar etwas zu viel. Aber mit sehr viel Liebe und persönlicher Note eingerichtet. Dora ist eine sensationelle Gastgeberin, unsere Privatsphäre war immer gewährleistet, so daß wir unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genießen konnten. Grazie Mille Dora and Sergio

Grandiose Aussicht / phänomenale Gastgeber / toller Pool

Wir, Ehepaar mit 2 Kindern (6 und 9 Jahre alt) sowie unserem Labrador, durften 14 Tage im August 2018 bei Dora und ihrer Familie verbringen und waren vom ersten Moment von der Gastfreundschaft als auch der Unterkunft überwältigt. So durften die Kinder mit Dora Pizza backen, auch alle Fragen wurden umgehend mit viel Einsatz beantwortet und trotzdem hat Dora sehr auf unsere Privatsphäre geachtet, so daß man sich von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute willkommen und auch ein wenig zu Hause im positiven Sinne fühlte. Die gezeigten Bilder können das Original nur skizzieren. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft, der Pool toll und auch das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, wenngleich es ein wenig dauert, bis man einen Platz für die eigenen Sachen findet. Die Auffahrt ist für deutsche Fahrer, zumindest für mich, ungewohnt und abenteuerlich, da einspurig und mit Gegenverkehr ist immer zu rechnen, macht aber in der Nacht umso mehr Spaß. Jedoch beträgt die Fahrzeit für die ca 6km nach Pistoia (nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/Lidl, Coop, etc) ca. 15min. einfach. Das sollte man wissen, meiner Meinung nach. Ansonsten war es ein Fest für uns und wir möchten uns noch einmal bei Dora und Sergio herzlich für alles bedanken! Mille grazie!!! Frank Elsäßer

Sehr schöner Urlaub!!!

Wir haben einige Tage bei Dora und Sergio in Pistoia verbracht. Wir haben uns dort sehr willkommen gefüllt. Unsere Gastgeber haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und sich immer gut um uns gekümmert, mal wurden wir mit Pasta, mal mit selbstgemachtem Brot verwöhnt. Wenn wir Fragen hatten, haben Dora und Sergio uns immer geholfen. Das Haus ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet, man hat wirklich alles was man braucht. Der Pool ist einfach traumhaft. Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich bei Dora und Sergio für einen traumhaften Urlaub und wünschen ihnen alles Gute! Grazie mille!!!

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

questa casa è di famiglia è grande e a noi piace conoscere gente nuova , i miei ospiti rimangono amici alcuni tornano altri anni . le spese sono molte e cosi possiamo mantenerla . Questa è una delle zone senza dubbio più belle d'Italia , io sono laziale ma la Toscana è davvero magica , ho studiato a Firenze e desidero averla vicino .Ho una casa a Firenze che adoro ..città.elegante ricca di cultura e a dimensione UOMO , anche Pistoia è una citta con cose culturali molto interessanti . Ha una delle piazze più belle della Toscana.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

la casa ha un finestrone come la parete dal quale di notte la vista ricorda quella di un aereo che atterra luci magiche , in genere gli ospiti mi dicono che è più bella che in foto . Ha mobili antichi e quadri . Una splendida doccia esterna per quando si esce dalla piscina . la piscina è per gli ospiti che possono prendere anche i frutti del periodo direttamente dagli alberi .Nei campi ci sono terrazzi tra il verde per momenti di lettura e silanzio . I bambini ,se ci sono sono graditi e se in età imparano a fare la Pizza o altro della cucina italiana ..una bimba spagnola era interessatissima anche per una CARBONARA!!!!
