Absolutely the best home away from home!! It was so lovely that we had a hard time leaving for a day of site seeing!! The new "glass room" was our favorite!!

Incredible home and location

We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the property, very clean, with all the amenities we needed and more!! The home is even more beautiful in person. There has been a recent addition to the veranda in the back, perfect place to sit at the table for dinner. Absolutely stunning unobstructed views. The host was so very thoughtful and friendly. Thank you!!!

Peaceful, Beautiful View!

Welcomed by the host with tea and provisions, we had an excellent beginning to our stay in the Azores! The home is tastefully decorated, beds and pillows comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and the outside garden areas are very inviting! The host gave recommendations for sites to see and restaurants to try. We loved the peaceful location and the views of the ocean from the yard. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend this beautiful home!

Special stay in Mosteiros

We stayed for five nights and wished it was longer. The cottage was charming, quiet and the view was outstanding. Our hosts were helpful and as charming as the home. We felt as though we were staying in a well loved, special place.

Fun house with amazing sunsets

The house is very unique and there are nice touches that show the owner put a lot of thought into making sure guests have a great experience. The finishes throughout the house are high quality. The location was perfect - away from people but close enough to drive down to the town and beach, and the view is incredible. Sometimes it was hard to leave to house to go explore the island.

Very nice property

We had a very nice time in this beautiful house. The decoration is very tasteful - including a stunning bathroom with a view - and the garden is amazing. There is a nice view of the sea, though you'll need a car to drive yourself around.

Spectacular Place!

Pictures do not do it justice! It's even better in real life! Three couples easily shared the quaint and cozy villa which was a great home base for our island adventures. Alexandra met us on arrival and was very responsive to our questions and minor hot water/pump issue that was easily (quickly) fixed. Will absolutely stay here again when we return! We had a fantastic time and loved everything about this home and the island!

Wonderful house

The house was spotless and retained the charm of an older house but with wonderful amenities like the master bath and comfortable beds. The swing was not pictured but a great surprise. The serenity and views exceptional. We had a flat tire the night before our very early flight and host responded and helped.

Portuguese Paradise!

Casa de Pilatos was beautiful! Mornings with coffee overlooking the ocean, or watching sunsets with a glass of wine - it was the perfect country house. Very peaceful and relaxing, the historic house was charming and spotlessly clean, with modern appliances and baths. We used it as a "home base" and ventured out (after breakfast on the outdoors picnic table every morning) to explore the beautiful island. Heavenly! Alexandra was the perfect host and immediately contacted us when we had a question. Best vacation ever!

Pilatos House

This property was amazing. The hostess, Ms.Rui, was welcoming to all—including children. The house has everything anyone could think of and is a wonderful blend of central location near items of interest along with peace and tranquillity. Our first time to the Azores, but will definitely come back to Pilatos House. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Amazing View!

This place is incredible! We stayed for the first four nights of our holiday, but I could have stayed a lot longer. I didn’t want to give up the view! We appreciated the food waiting for us when we arrived, and the house is even nicer than what you see in the photos. (I wasn’t sure what to make of the outdoor bathroom from the photos, but I kind of loved it.) It’s a bit of a drive from the airport but more than worth it for the house and surroundings.

Favorite Spot in the Azores

This home was my favorite spot in all of the Azores. The town of Mosteiros is charming and has incredible scenery. The views from Casa Pilatos are breathtaking. Drinking coffee overlooking the ocean every morning was a great way to start the day. This home is cozy, clean, and well appointed. It is located on top of a cliff overlooking the town, so be prepared for hikes and long walks up and down. You can also drive, but we liked the exercise! The host is responsive and our entire experience was exceptional.

Pilatos House

This rustic and historical house oozed the true feeling of living in the Azores. The narrow street kept it very private and quiet and the views were spectacular! The owners have provided a well equipped kitchen and house keeping equipment/ materials. The best part was we arrived late, in the dark, without time to purchase breakfast items, but we walked in and all was provided. It was heavenly! Alexandra did a wonderful job of communicating.💕

Quiet and Cozy

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Alexandra was very welcoming and provided us with all we needed. She even arranged for treats for our girls ages 8 & 4 for the holiday. If you are looking for a quiet retreat while staying on the island this is your place! Our girls loved the loft bedroom and outdoor space to play. My husband and I loved how clean and comfortable everything was. The kitchen and grilling area are great if you don’t want to eat out for every meal. The view is as advertised AMAZING!

Wonderful House in the Hills

The location of the house is fantastic. The garden was well maintained with wonderful plants. There is a barbecue area, a seating area and loungers.The house was clean and is very well equipped. There are three separate baths and three queen-size bedrooms. Under the roof is one more bedroom with two single-beds. The next supermarket and the next beaches are in mosteiros (5min by car). The airport in Ponta del Garda is about 40min by car. The communication with the owner was easy and quick. Thanks for visiting the horses ☺️

Nice House, Great View

Casa De Pilatos is a nice traditional Azorean house with updated facilities. It is in a quiet location uphill from the village of Mosteiros. Great view of the village and the coastline from the lounge chairs in the garden. Fantastic sunsets when the weather cooperates. Plenty of room for the 2 of us...the house could easily accommodate more people. The kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare meals. We also enjoyed grilling on the outdoor wood-fired BBQ. Quick 5 minute drive down to the village which has a nice black sand beach & a few restaurants. Also a very scenic spot to walk along the coast. Many of the island's marked hiking trails - including the Sete Cidades Caldeira - are nearby. The manager (Alexandria) is easy to communicate with & very helpful. She met us upon our arrival, and she had laid out a spread of local goodies for us (cheese, fruit, eggs, wine, tea, etc.). Overall - Highly recommended.

Traumhaftes Haus

Traumhafte Lage mit einem grandiosen Blick über das Meer und die Landschaft. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und ist mit einem schönen Mix aus antiker und moderner Einrichtung ausgestattet. Die Nachbarschaft ist offen und nett. Alexandra hat uns mit ihrer Familie, trotz unserer turbulenten Anreise, sehr herzlich und mit einem traditionellen Essen begrüsst. Wir waren mit 6 Personen (Kind, junge Erwachsene, Erwachsene und Senioren) dort und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Vielen Dank noch mal Alexandra. 🌸

Wunderbare Lage und ein wirklich außergewöhnliches Haus

Das Haus bietet ein oder zwei Familien Raum für einen schönen und außergewöhnlichen Urlaub. Beschreibung und Bilder 'stimmen', und die Verwaltung ist hilfsbereit, zuverlässig und sehr freundlich. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung.

Traumhaft !

Ein unglaublich liebevolles Haus in einem großartigen Garten und einem unbeschreiblichen Ausblick. Dieses Haus ist absolut zu empfehlen. Ich war schon in vielen Häusern in den letzten 15 Jahren und dieses gehört zu den absolut besten, in denen ich Urlaub gemacht habe. Der Service ist total zuverlässig und wohlwollend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zeit scheint still zu stehen in dieser Umgebung und Entspannung ist garantiert. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Umgebung vorhanden. Der Strand in der Nähe (Mosteiros) ist sehr schön. Das Dorf selbst voller entspannter und netter Menschen. Die Insel an sich ist traumhaft und kann gerechtfertigt als "Hawai Europas" bezeichnet werden. Vielen Dank an Maria für die tolle Betreuung !
