La villa con piscina ad acqua salata si trova in campagna, completamente immersa nel verde. il giardino è la nostra grande passione, curatissimo da me e mio padre per offrirvi un magnifico spazio pieno di fiori e piante con tanta ombra e con i colori e profumi tipici della gallura.
la piscina è piacevolissima, trattata con il sale (così non lascia sulla pelle l'odore sgradevole del cloro). è divisa in due zone: una molto bassa per i bambini più piccoli ed una più profonda per gli adulti.
la zona della piscina è attrezzata con lettini prendisole, ombrellone e la doccia esterna.
la villa è un vecchio stazzu (casa tipica dei pastori) del 1890 completamente ristrutturata mantenendo le caratteristiche originali, con le travi a vista nel soffitto.
le camere sono ampie e con aria condizionata e per ogni camera c'è un bagno. la camera matrimoniale al piano superiore mette a disposizione dei suoi ospiti una vasca idromassaggio.
la cucina è completamente attrezzata con forno, micronde, frigo, fornelli, bollitore per il the, tostapane, piatti pentole e padelle per poter cucinare qualsiasi cosa. c'è anche un'ampia cucina esterna con il barbecue per cucinare alla brace.
la veranda davanti a casa offre ristoro all'ombra con tavolo e sedie per mangiare all'aperto e una zona con divani per un pieno relax.
attenzione:
la via che conduce alla casa è solo in parte asfaltata.
la macchina è necessaria, considerate di noleggiare una vettura alta.

We had a wonderful stay at this marvelous finca. Everything exceptionally clean and the garden very well maintained. Pool and garden are being maintained daily. Chiara was very helpful and a great host.

Small Paradise in Sardinian Campo

Villa Surrau was a great place, gorgeous pool, and all the comforts of home. We spent most of our days soaking up the Mediterranean sun by the pool with some delicious local vino. The pool was cleaned every few days, and grounds maintenance personnel appeared weekly. Some cinghiali found their way into the yard one evening, and the owner promptly mended the fence. The neighbor goat was a delight, and lizards and geckos made regular appearances. Be warned that there are many mosquitoes, hornets, and bees; but that's all part of being in the campo. The only difficulties we encountered were with the internet service and air conditioning. The air conditioning failed for a few nights following a thunderstorm and again after a scheduled electrical power outage. It took the owner a couple days to respond. Being from Colorado, we like cool and dry evenings, so it was a little difficult to sleep for a few nights. The internet wireless transmitter on-site failed after the same thunderstorm, and we were without service for almost the entire stay. Cellular service is very poor. In fact we had to rely on a signal from Corsica. Be prepared to be totally off the grid! However, we still had an absolutely enjoyable time :-) The enclosed grill building was fabulous, and we cooked many great meals out there! When the A/C did work, it worked very well. The only sounds are the occasional crows or other birds, and some cinghiali if you're lucky! Many, many thanks to Chiara and Luigi (our hosts) and Pasqualino (the owner) for all their help. Chiara and Luigi were especially wonderful since we interacted with them the most. Their hospitality and kindness made our visit to beautiful Sardinia absolutely special and memorable! Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit einer tollen Außenanlage. Der Pool mit Kinderpool war großartig. Im Haus fehlen einige Küchenutensilien, z.B. scharfe Messer und Löffel. Aber im ganzen sehr zu empfehlen. Netter Kontakt.

Totale relax

La proprietà è a mio parere molto bella , nel mezzo delle colline e le tipiche rocce dell’entroterra sardo. Curata in ogni dettaglio con un giardino meraviglioso ci ha consentito di scappare dal caos che già ad inizio luglio si iniziava ad avere. Chiara oltre ad essere super gentile è stata sempre pronta a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. Peccato che non siano ammessi gli animali…..il nostro cagnolone sarebbe stato benissimo.

Très belle propriété dans un lieu calme et reculé propice au repos et à la détente

Très jolie propriété, confortable pour un petit groupe, très bien entretenue à l'extérieur. Le jardin est magnifique ainsi que les paysages alentours. Nous avons pu faire de belles balades à pied autour de la maison et apprécier de très beaux couchers de soleil. Faune et flore très intéressantes et diversifiées. Proximité de nombreuses plages paradisiaques. Très bon accueil de Chiara qui nous a prodigué des conseils pour nos visites et s'est assurée que nous passions un bon séjour. Nous recommandons ce lieu sans hésitation !

Thank you Chiara and Luigi for a wonderful stay at your place and for your fine hospitality. The villa is lovely - large and very comfortable, with lots of character. We especially enjoyed the immaculate garden with amazing views down the valley, and the fantastic pool (and a great kids pool for the little ones). We spent almost al of our time outdoors eating on the veranda and relaxing in the many shady spots or by the pool - it is a real paradise. Set on a hill in the countryside, with a single neighbor on the ridge opposite, the house is remote and peaceful. A perfect place to get away and relax. The kids loved it! Despite being remote, it is only 15 minutes by car from Arzachena (banks, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.) and 30-45 minutes from innumerable glorious beaches on the Costa Smeralda and the North coast. Palau is a 25 minute track. As the other reviewer has stated the road up the hill to the house is not surfaced and in places is in poor condition, but it can be relatively easily navigated in ordinary car, with a little care. Nothing a relatively confident driver should have any problems with. You will need a satnav/smartphone to find it though! Beds very comfortable and linen and towels were provided. The kitchen was also furnished with all of the utensils, pots, crockery, etc. that we needed to make good meals. We wanted for nothing. The hosts made us feel very welcome, with Luigi waiting up late to check us in (and with ice cream for the kids). When the wifi was not working Luigi also made sure it was fixed the next day (a wire came looose in a storm the previous week). Thanks again for a wonderful holiday. We hope to return next year!

a paradise is waiting for you

We meet Chiara's husband close by the house and he guided us to the place. We wouldn't have had a change to find it without him. The road there is a bit rough (no 4×4 needed) but totally worth it. As at the end a place like paradise is waiting for you. A beautyfull garden, a big pool just for yourself and nobody around! It is definitly a place we would love to stay again.

Für Ruhesuchende das perfekte Feriendomiziel

Wir wurden von Luici herzlich begrüßt, er hat uns alles gezeigt und noch ein paar Restaurant Tipps gegeben. Die Gesamtanlage ist einfach ein Traum, sehr gepflegte Außenanlagen. Der große Pool mit Salzwasser an einem heißen Tag einfach toll. Eine große überdachte Terrasse auf der man bei jedem Wetter draußen sitzen kann. Ein bisschen Reperaturwürdig sind die beweglichen Fliegengitter. Die Küche ist ein bisschen klein zum kochen, und man hat das Gefühl es wurden manche Utensilien einfach dort abgestellt. Draußen gibt es eine große Küche für Barbecue, welche wir oft genutzt haben. Um auf das Anwesen zu gelangen benötigt man unbedingt ein Auto. Der Weg ist eine Holperpiste. Die Lage ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt um den Norden von Sardinien zu erkunden. Man ist in ca. 30 min an der wunderschönen Costa Smeralda. Der Ort Palau ist in 20 min zu erreichen, hier kann man gut Bummeln gehen und es gibt viele Restaurant. Insgesamt ist es sehr empfehlenswert

Unique remote property in countryside.

We were greeted by friendly Chiara and an appreciated welcome food gift. The villa is unique! It has been renovated unusually, in a traditional style but it works okay for a holiday let for the week. Just don’t go expecting a modern style villa! There are 3 bedrooms so it slept us 6 (we were two families with one child each). The upstairs bedroom, with spa bath had a very comfortable bed and beautiful view. The villa has plenty of indoor and outdoor space for 6 people but we found the kitchen really tiny for food prep. There is a larger kitchen in a separate outbuilding though. The gardens are well kept. The pool was lovely, clean and very private. We were really disappointed as the jacuzzi did not work but we were not informed about this in advance and it was the title of the villa advert! The pool is really deep so consider this if you are travelling with little children. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but the house is only accessed through several kms of a unpaved track so we planned days (and meals!) accordingly. We enjoyed a variety of wildlife (cows, wild boar, tortoise and owls) whilst returning on the track at night! As long as you are confident driving, the general location is good as Porto Cervo, Cannigione and Palau are all within half an hour drive away. Chiara was very helpful and offered great recommendations. She was also quick to deal with any issues with the house. Thank you.

Perfectly peacefull

We wanted peace and quiet and we got it. We hired a Jeep Renegade collected at the airport and knew we had the right vehicle when we left the main road, the track went for a few kilometres through unspoiled hedgerows covered in wild flowers butterflies and birds, just what we wanted. The photographs of the villa where not exaggerated as in some cases, what you saw is what you got, a property renovated to a very high standard with all you needed apart from provisions. The gardens reflected somebodies feel for wildlife and to be able to sit outside amongst so many different trees,shrubs, butterflies and birds with total peace and quiet suited us perfectly, beaches if you wanted them are only a few kilometres away. Chiara, Luigi, Pasqualino and Paulo could not have been more helpful which we thank them for. Ken & Anne

dream vacations

the house is in the country, you can hear the crickets and you can see the cows graze. It is very private, fresh and welcoming, there is everything you need to enjoy the nature around and relax by the pool. there are many beautiful beaches nearby, 10/20 minutes by car. the road to reach the house is regularly maintained, while we have been guests, they have arranged the road after the rain.

Ein echtes Paradies - 5 Sterne!

Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Das sagt eigentlich schon alles aus :-) Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder im Alter von 6 und 9) wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Neben einer Führung durch die Finca gab es als kleines Willkommengeschenk das nötigste für den Start (Getränke, Joghurts, Nudeln, ..). Die Finca ist sehr sauber und modern. Auf dem weitläufigen Gelände entdeckt man immer wieder neues, hier wurde mit viel liebe zum Detail gearbeitet. Highlight für die Kids waren der Kicker, Hauskatze und der Pool. Der große Pool ist leider recht tief, so das auch die Erwachsenen nicht "stehen" konnten. Der kleine Pool ist aber ideal auch für nicht-Schwimmer. Im Haus gibt es noch einen modernen Whirl-Pool. Alle vorhanden was man braucht, sehr sauber und sehr idyllisch gelegen. Sehr freundliche Vermieter, zu jeder Zeit für einen da. Tolle Strände in der Nähe (Tip: Vorher genau auf der Karte anschauen wo der jeweilige Strand liegt, sind teilweise schwer zu finden). Alles in allem: Sehr gerne wieder!

Entspannung pur

Das Ferienhaus (ein ehemaliger Stall) ist sehr schön und modern restauriert worden und überall erblickt man liebevoll gestaltete Details. Ein echter Hingucker ist die großzügige Gartenanlage, die man eher in einem Hotel vermutet. Überall verstreut entdeckt man Sitzgelegenheiten, sollte man sich einmal zurückziehen wollen. Positiv aufgefallen ist uns auch, dass das Haus sehr! sauber ist. Luigi, unser Ansprechpartner vor Ort, war sehr hilfsbereit und stets sofort zur Stelle. In der Nähe ist ein Schießstand, aber man hört nur leises "Ploppen". Nicht so schön ist, das das große Schlafzimmer keine eigene Dusche hat. Und die letzten ca. 2 km zum Haus sind in einem katastrophalen Zustand, der uns einen Reifen gekostet hat. Aber aufgrund des guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnisses gibt es trotzdem volle 5 Sterne.

Ein sehr schöner Ort zum entspannen!

Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr romantisch - mit Kühen und einem Ziegenbock in direkter Nachbarschaft - gelegen. Der Garten mit der tollen Poollandschaft und versteckten Sitzecken ist sehr schön angelegt und gepflegt. Die Kräuter zum kochen und grillen stehen direkt vor der Tür.... es fehlte uns an nichts für einen entspannten Urlaub :o)

the best ever!!

this villa is really a fantastic holiday spot! the pool is gorgeus and we did appreciate the salty water because it doesn't smell of chemicals. the garden is fab!!! the house is fully equipped and never is missing. we cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful Villa, fabulous holiday!

A little off the beaten track, but absolutely worth it! A fabulous villa set in the tranquil countryside, but easy to get to the local towns and beaches. The villa is beautifully appointed inside and out. The pools are set in fabulous gardens, with many shady or sunny areas to relax in. The hosts are so kind and helpful. I cannot recommend this highly enough. If you are looking for ideas, Porto Pollo is a great beach for families - long and sandy, lovely cafe facilities (and toilets!), and also fab for watersports such as windsurfing. Take a windbreak though! Visit the Marinas at Porto Rotondo or Porto Cervo to see how the other half live! And don't leave without sampling the Pizzeria da Serafino e Giovanni in Cannigione - quite literally the best ever! Thank you Chiara for a wonderful holiday :-)
