La nostra casetta immersa nel verde, lontana dal caos urbano e dalla vita frenetica di ogni giorno, è l’ideale per chi vuole allontanarsi dalla città, godersi la pace e la natura in totale privacy e tranquillità, vivendo un’esperienza unica. Gode di una vista mozzafiato sull’Etna, nonostante si trovi a dieci minuti d’auto dalle più belle coste marittime siracusane. Perfetta per trascorrere le vacanze estive grazie ai grandi spazi all’aperto e alla piscina, ma ottima anche per le vacanze invernali, poiché dotata di camino e non troppo distante dalla montagna Etna.

LA VERANDA
Colpita dai caldi raggi mattutini grazie alla sua posizione strategica, la veranda è il posto ideale nei mesi estivi per chi ama fare colazione all’aperto, godendo di una mozzafiato vista sull'Etna che rende l’atmosfera magica, ma senza privarsi delle comodità che dispone la casa. Pranzi e cene annessi, con a disposizione tavolo da pranzo e angolo relax.

LA PISCINA
L’elegante piscina, ad uso esclusivo dell’affittuario, è contornata da 150 metri di solarium e 400 metri di prato, ideale per prendere il sole al mattino e per fare aperitivo al tramonto. E’ totalmente privata, ampia 13x7 metri e provvista di impianto elettrolisi in alternativa al cloro chimico, luci led al suo interno per fare il bagno anche la notte.

LA CASA
Prettamente rustica, la cucina-soggiorno si presenta all’ingresso come uno spazio dove passare le giornate, grazie al comfort dato dal calore della cucina in muratura e dal grande camino per le giornate più fredde. La camera da letto principale è provvista di un letto matrimoniale, finestra su veranda e armadio a quattro stagioni. La seconda camera è dotata di tre letti singoli con finestra sul retro, comò a cassettoni e piccolo armadio. Inoltre sono presenti due bagni: uno dotato di wc, bidet, doccia e lavello; l’altro dotato di wc, lavatrice e lavello.

Nel retro della casa si trova l’angolo di paradiso per chi ama cucinare e gustare le proprie cene in compagnia.

Our little house surrounded by greenery, away from the urban chaos and the hectic life of every day, is ideal for those who want to get away from the city, enjoy peace and nature in total privacy and tranquility, living a unique experience. It enjoys a breathtaking view of Etna, despite being a ten-minute drive from the most beautiful sea coasts of Syracusa. Perfect for spending the summer holidays thanks to the large outdoor spaces and the swimming pool, but also excellent for winter holidays, as it has a fireplace and not too far from the Etna mountain.

THE VERANDA

Impressed by the warm morning rays thanks to its strategic position, the veranda is the ideal place in the summer months for those who love to have breakfast outdoors, enjoying a breathtaking view of the Etna that makes the atmosphere magical, but without depriving themselves of the comforts that the house has. Attached lunches and dinners, with dining table and relaxation corner available.

THE SWIMMING POOL

The elegant swimming pool, for the exclusive use of the tenant, is surrounded by 150 meters of solarium and 400 meters of lawn, ideal for sunbathing in the morning and for having an aperitif at sunset. It is totally private, 13x7 meters wide and equipped with an electrolysis plant as an alternative to chemical chlorine, LED lights inside to bathe even at night.

THE HOUSE

Purely rustic, the kitchen-living room presents itself at the entrance as a space to spend the days, thanks to the comfort given by the warmth of the masonry kitchen and the large fireplace for the colder days. The master bedroom is equipped with a double bed, window on the veranda and a four-season wardrobe. The second room is equipped with three single beds with a rear window, chest of drawers and small wardrobe. There are also two bathrooms: one equipped with toilet, bidet, shower and sink; the other equipped with toilet, washing machine and sink.

THE BARBEQUE

In the back of the house there is the corner of paradise for those who love to cook and enjoy their own dinners in company.

wir haben fast drei wochen dort verbracht. es ist perfekt wenn man den osten des landes erkunden will, kommt gut in den norden zum ätna, kann vor allem bei touren genau das richtige wetter zum besteigen abpassen und ist aber auch zugleich im süden an den wirklich schönen stränden oder kann das gebirge erkunden und auch modica, ragusa, noto...oder eben auch catania. man braucht unbedingt ein auto, da ist nichts fußläufig erreichbar. aber das wussten wir ja und wir kannten auch die sonstige infrastruktur im osten italiens. wenn der wind ungünstig steht ist die straße mal zu hören. ansonsten gab es alles was man zum urlauben und chillen am pool braucht, sogar früchte aus dem garten. vor allem der vermieter war top. immer erreichbar für unsere nöte, lieben dank auch nochmal für das finden meines ringes und die geduld bei meiner ungeschicklichkeit beim buchen!

Relaxing Holidays

We as family 2 adults, 3 kids and our dog enjoyed our 1 week Holiday in this lovely landscape house. The place, pool, house, furniture is matching perfectly with the description! If you’re looking to spend time away from the city and noise then we highly advise Salvatore’s house, it’s like having a piece of heaven on earth! The view from the terrace is awesome, from the gentle giant (Etna) to the coast of Catania to the hills of Calabria and to the port of Augusta who offers in the night a nice view of shining lights. Regardless of the location, you can reach the city of Catania in 30min. drive and within the same half hour you can reach lovely beaches southern of Siracusa. A Car is recommended! Thank you Salvatore and Family, beside of your house, we find also new friends! We will come back. Lovely greetings from Zurich.

Disappointed

Let’s start with the good bits. The rooms are spacious and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. Plenty of spare clean linens for kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom. The views of Etna are wonderful. The pool is a great size. The location means it’s very private and peaceful. The not so good would be there is no hot water in the kitchen (and there is no dishwasher despite it being listed in the description). There are no knives apart from a bread knife and dozens of table knives. There are limited cooking pots and pans which seems an enigma in an Italian kitchen. The bad would be we had to spend the first day cleaning and tidying up. Inside the villa the obvious surfaces were clean but when you looked in the corners, under the beds, tables, chairs everywhere was very dusty. The pool side was deep in pine needles, leaves and grit. The pool and it’s filters were no better. The main terrace, the outside cooking area and the walkways between these spaces can only be described as dire. There were bits of wire, nails, lumps of mortar, broken knives, plates, discarded bottles and an old rolled piece of carpet. A rusty, cement covered wheelbarrow was being used to hold a door closed. The outside grill was so filthy it was beyond belief. There were used coals strewn everywhere. When we complained to Salvatore he just said he’d been too busy! The final straw was when we spent over 12 hours without water. We were told we had abused his allowance of 60,000 litres in less than 2 weeks and had to wait until the following morning before Salvatore came to reinstate the water. Really? It was Salvatore who asked us to top up the swimming pool. We left early and checked into a hotel. We have stayed in a number of Home Away properties and up until this one they have all been immaculately clean and tidy. This property was a real disappointment but would have been transformed (so too would our experience have been) if the owner had cleaned and tidied up and if he didn’t have the time someone should have been employed to do the job.

A perfect getaway!

Our family of 4 has enjoyed ten fantastic days at Salvatore's home. We were warmly greated by the owner when we arrived, and after a walk-through of the house and the pool area we were left alone to enjoy. The house was nice and clean and offered everything needed in accordance with the description. A good-sized kitchen with appliances, a gas stove and a nice barbecue area in the back yard. Only minus was that there wasn't hot water in the kitchen, a bit unusual, and the kitchen could do with some wider selection of tools. The heart of the property was, however, by no doubt the pool area. The pool was just amazing and our kids loved it so much we could hardly get them out, even when they were blue and unable to control their shivering. The property is very much left alone, so this is a place to enjoy your privacy with the fantastic view of Etna in the background. Grocery stores are, however, only 10 min away by car. There are also several pizza restaurants nearby. We had a rental car during our stay and enjoyed travelling around a bit as well. The property is the perfect springboard for visiting the town of Syracuse, Taormina and the volcano Etna. Highly recommended!! Thank you Salvatore for a wonderful time at your place! A fantastic property with an amazing swimming pool, perfect for a family holiday.

In a rural location this property offers privacy and peace and quiet, there is no road noise or passers by. You do need a car to get around as there is not a town in walking distance. The airport at Catania is only 40 minutes drive. Nearby there is a Lidl supermarket and several restaurants. Worth a visit is Il Triangolo in Agnone Bagni (this is right by the beach), L'Antico Palmento, near Augusta and Il Michelangelo, C. da Bongiovanni, near Brucoli. We were delighted with the property, 2 good sized bedrooms with plenty of space for our family of 5. The layout all on one floor worked really well, nice kitchen with a great big fridge ideal for keeping drinks cold. The freezer and washing machine were very useful. We used the BBQ and enjoyed the shady terrace which stretches across the whole width of the house. It was good not to have to mess about with umbrellas for shade. The pool is a real feature of the property, it's huge, with a diving board at one end and a little robot you can put in to keep it clean. It is located directly in front of the villa and can be seen from the terrace. There are tiled steps into the shallow end. The temperature was lovely and our children spent most of their time swimming. There are lights for night time swimming and shady areas under the trees around the pool. There is a view of Mount Etna and although the weather is sunny with very high temperatures there is a pleasant sea breeze so it is not at all humid. The owner Salvo was very helpful, he arranged to meet us to show us how to get to the property and kept in touch during our stay via WhatsApp. His response to any questions or concerns we had was immediate. I would definitely recommend this villa if you are looking for a quiet location with a pool.

Un petit goût de paradis...

Nous y sommes allés 10 jours avec nos deux enfants de 5 et 7 ans. La propriété est très jolie. Isolée au milieu des champs d’agrumes, c’est un endroit idéal de repos et de calme. L’intérieur de la maison est sobre mais convient parfaitement pour un endroit de vacances en famille. Il y a tout le matériel nécessaire (frigo, vaisselle, fer à repasser…). La piscine est juste magnifique, grande, propre (transats, parasol…). Il y a quelques marches qui permettent à des petits enfants de jouer en ayant pieds. De la terrasse, on a une vue directe sur la piscine, c’est pratique avec des enfants… Un bel espace barbecue se situe à l’arrière de la maison. De la terrasse à l’étage, il y a une vue sur l’Etna et sur les abords, c’est très joli. La situation de la maison est très bonne pour visiter le sud-est de la sicile (Noto, Syracuse, Catane, Ragusa, Pantalica…). Pour les points « négatifs », c’est surtout la question des chiens sauvages qui aboient la nuit. Ca peut être très gênant pour dormir… Il y a aussi la toilette qui fonctionne difficilement. Le propriétaire Salvatore est très disponible s’il y a un souci. C’est un atout ! Il possède un restaurant dans la région, n’hésitez pas à y aller. Je recommande cette maison !

Abbiamo deciso di condividerla con chi vorrebbe fare una vacanza di relax o di esplorazione della Sicilia, in quanto noi non riusciamo a godere della casa per impegni lavorativi.
