La posizione dell'appartamento offre innumerevoli opportunità per esplorare la cultura italiana, immerso nella quiete, colline verdeggianti e a breve distanza dalla città di Cassino e dalle spiagge locali. Goditi una vista mozzafiato sull'Abbazia di Montecassino e sulle montagne circostanti. Una base ideale per esplorare la Costiera Amalfitana, Napoli, Roma, Pompei, il Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo e Fiuggi, famosa per il suo centro termale e il campo da golf. E un'ottima posizione per godersi le splendide spiagge di Gaeta, Formia e Scauri. I campi da golf si trovano a Fiuggi e Isernia. Le strutture sciistiche si trovano a Roccaraso e Campocatino. La proprietà è facilmente raggiungibile dalle strade e dalla stazione ferroviaria. Cassino fu teatro della più cruenta battaglia della seconda guerra mondiale, migliaia di soldati persero la vita qui nell'amaro inverno del 1943-44. Il posto è quindi una vera "culla" della storia di Cassino e della sua gente. Cassino è rinomata per la sua università e sede di un monastero molto importante, l'Abbazia di Montecassino.

A wonderful stay, acn't wait to go back😍

Maria and Derek were very welcoming and friendly hosts. The apartment was very spacious, spotlessly clean and had every facility/vrockery etc for a home from home stay. The grounds are pool were super for relaxing in a beautiful environment. Can't wait to visit Cassio again!

This is a lovely property. It was very difficult to figure out the route to get to the property. Luckily the owner was very kind enough to come and get us. They were also kind enough to provide some food and drink on our arrival. The place is spacious and very clean.We felt secure at all hours of the night when we arrived from visiting . Also we were given a fan to compensate for the fact that the property did not have air conditioning. They had mentioned that they were in the midst of getting it installed. I was also able to wash my clothes and hang them in the laundry room. There was a dryer available at a cost of 0.25 euros per kwatt. That was a bit disappointing .I was not able to use the clothes till next 2 days . All in all, this is a lovely property with lovely owners.I would highly recommend the property . Thank you , Maddy & Caesar

Fantastic Italian destination!

All throught the booking proces we were made to feel very comfortable about this property. The communication from Maria and Derek was 1st class. They provide excellent information about the area, before we arrived. On arrival at Naples airport we were given clear instructions how to drive to the property. Once at the house Maria was there to greet us, showing us around, they even left use with food starters, something that is really helpful when you've just stepped of the plane. The property itself is delightful nice big rooms with all the ameneties one looks forward to these days. The grounds, I say grounds because it is a big garden by UK standards is beautiful, the scenery makes you want to take up painting. Maria and Derek our hosts. Derek was away in the UK while we were there, however his wife is a fantastc host. We both felt that when we arrived we met our host, when we left we said good bye to a new friend. We have met their family daughter grandchildren, all absolutely delightful. We will certainly be coming back Maria, I have never been made to feel so welcome. Thank you xx

Idyllic rural setting, with great hosts.

We had a wonderful family holiday with our two children aged 5 & 11. Maria and Derek were attentive to ensure we had everything we needed, whilst still respecting our privacy. We enjoyed fresh tomato sauce from their garden, and spent time relaxing in the fantastic garden. The house is a great base to visit the wider area. Many thanks to them both for a lovely stay.

Excellent villa, great location

Maria and Derek were perfect hosts, offering help and advice but not in anyway intrusive. The villa was immaculate and spacious with everything you could possibly need. Pool was lovely and refreshing after a days sightseeing. Villa location perfect for visiting Naples, Roma and the coast. Highly recommended

Beautiful home, relaxing location, wonderful hosts

This is a lovely apartment, spacious and well maintained. Maria and Derek are perfect hosts, they know the local area very well and can advise you on what to see, but also allow you your privacy. I would recommend this apartment if you want a relaxing holiday and the chance to see the "real Italy" combined with the ability to travel to the tourist sites at Pompeii, Hercolaneum, Naples, Rome, and the sea all within easy distance.

Modern stylish and spacious, beautiful location

We were made to feel very welcome by Maria and Derek. The accomodation was clean, stylish and spacious. Nice big kitchen/dining area. We slept very well - it is a quite location and the total blackout shutters are great. The house is surrounded by a lovely big garden and mountains. Monte Cassino monastery is spectacular. There is a great cake shop in Cassino town and also a very stylish fresh pasta shop and a big veg market.

Perfect Apartment and Amazing Views!

Myself and a friend spent a week at this amazing place, so much to see and do in the area, Derek was extremely welcoming, unfortunately Maria was away so we did not get to meet her on this occasion. The views are to die for and its so relaxing. We visited Monte Cassino Abbey, Pompei, Rome , Fomia Beach and Gaeta Harbour. All in all, we can highly recommend to everyone and would not hesitate to return in the future. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Wonderfully peaceful, clean and relaxing villa.

We all really loved our stay - it was wonderfully located as it was close to supermarkets and Monte Cassino and was also within an easy distance for a day trip to Pompeii and the coast. We loved the peace of the countryside for just relaxing in and Derek and Maria were wonderfully welcoming and friendly. If you can find somewhere that suits 2 adults and keeps a 15 year old boy happy then you know you are onto a winner. Thank you for a great holiday.

Beautiful apartment with mountain views

We picked this villa in the hope that it would be a fantastic, peaceful location to relax in after a few busy days in Rome. We were not disappointed! The accomodation was beautifully clean, to a high standard and very spacious. Our children loved the pool which had amazing views over the mountains and to Monte Cassino Abbey. The Abbey is a pleasant surprise with mosiacs and marble to challenge anything we saw in Rome. The location is perfect for feeling away from the tourist, hussle and bussle, but within easy reach of supermarkets and restaurants. You are also within 1 hour of Pompeii and Herculaneum on an easy route, and 30 minutes to the seaside. Derek and Maria were fantastic hosts, allowing us our privacy, but very helpful if we needed them. The apartment was also very secure and had beautiful gardens to enjoy. All in, I wouldn't hesitate to come here again. You won't be disappointed!

Perfect accommodation

We arrived on the Sunday after a 1.5hr drive from Rome and were met by Derek & Maria. We received a great welcome along with food goodies to enjoy. The location was perfect for touring local villages and towns (particularly Montecassino). The accommodation was very clean, large, excellent, has all the facilities and cool in the hot sunshine. Derek and Maria went beyond helpful and had the right measure of being of assistance but not getting in our way. Car parking not a problem, right in front of the door an a secure site. We would highly recommend this accommodation and Derek & Maria to you. We will tell all our friends about it.

A Wonderful Holiday!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Derek and Marias modern apartment which has all the amenities you could want and well situated for sightseeing. They both were really helpful with extensive information so that we could make the best of our holiday. Not only were we able to relax in the apartment's beautiful surroundings, visit the lovely beaches that were only 20 minutes drive away and the nearby famous abbey of Montecassino, but also we did daytrips by train to Rome and Naples which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were made to feel at home and felt free to ask questions about the best places to eat out and anything else we weren't sure about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this apartment to others.

Fantastic location

Before arriving Derek and Maria had already set us up with clear instructions to locate there lovely house and given us a telephone number if the SAT NAV couldn't find them. Derek was at the gate to welcome us when we pulled up. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped with everything you would need, Maria had filled the fridge with milk and bread and local produce plus left a couple of bottles of wine for us so no rush to think about shopping on arrival. Lovely view from the garden across to the mountains. An ideal location to set off sightseeing, Monte Cassino is a must as is wondering around the town of Cassino. Take Derek and Maria's advice on villages to visit plus places to eat, you wont be disappointed. If you fancy the drive then a day out to the coast and the wonderful Almalfi drive is a must, we started from Sorrento. A trip to Naples and the short crossing to Capri was excellent though driving through Naples is a challenge. Trains run from Cassino if you want a day away from driving, they are cheap and run on time, it's a great way to see the countryside. There is a train to Pompei, just head to Naples and go to the local station which is hidden under the main station for the local trains to Pompei. To sum up, an excellent holiday, lovely people, great food, sunshine and as much sightseeing as you want, or just relax in the garden with local wine and a beer.

Best holiday ever

We could not match this holiday for the friendliness of Maria and Derek and the Italian warmth of welcome. The accommodation in spacious and well equipped and given you an authentic visit to Italy. Situated in the country you need a car to get around, but there are plenty of interesting places to visit. We are planning to return again next year.

Really enjoyed our stay

Maria grew up in the nearby Medieval village of San Vittore del Lazio where each year on 8/9/10 August the Festa Medievale is celebrated. Maria and Derek built this home to celebrate their retirement after Maria spent almost 35 years living in the UK. Maria has extensive knowledge of the local area and can make your holiday a true Italian experience. Derek will ensure your BBQ and pool are ready and give you great advise on places to eat and where to get an amazing bottle of local wine.

This property is in a truly amazing location to visit Rome for a day, the Amalfi coast or venture up into the mountains or take a drive to the local beach. It will not disappoint you. Maria and Derek built this home with true attention to detail as Derek's background in the UK was in building and project management and they have built over 10 homes for themselves. This is a great place to base yourself if you want to experience true Italian culture as Maria has many family members who stop by to visit. Maria and Derek like to spend quality time here and in the UK and enjoy welcoming guests to visit the area.

Location, location, location. Surrounded by breath taking scenery. Al fresco dining, BBQ, pool, Jacuzzi bath, open plan lounge and kitchen, authentic true locals, great holiday advise, plenty of secure space to park and walk around. Mix with the locals and don't feel like a tourist.
