Questo fantastico appartamento vacanze (127 m²) si trova a Taormina con una vista mare unica, e 60 m² di terrazza sul tetto. Questa sistemazione è stata rinnovata nel 2007 ed è situata al 5º piano (senza ascensore) di un tranquillo edificio vicino a Porta Catania. Potete raggiungere direttamente l'appartamento in automobile e avere la possibilità di parcheggio a breve termine nelle immediate vicinanze. Il famoso Corso Umberto di Taormina è a 5 minuti a piedi. Un supermercato e alcuni ristoranti sono nelle vicinanze dell'attico. La fermata del bus navetta a Taormina è a pochi metri. Grazie alla speciale posizione, l'appartamento ha una vista unica (360º) e spettacolare sul Golfo di Taormina, la costa della Calabria, la vecchia città di Taormina, il Monte Etna e Castelmola. La grande terrazza sul tetto e i balconi sono arredati e invitano a cenare con una vista su Taormina. Lo spazioso salotto ha un caminetto ed è luminoso e arredato in modo confortevole.

As described apartment

Apartment was lovely, as described in photos and description. As noted in description, there are a lot of stairs to climb to get the apartment and also in Taormina to get around. Fine for us, but be aware if not very mobile. Apartment was clean and we were very happy staying here. Owner was very responsive to messages, much appreciated.

Great space and location

We had a great stay at Mike’s place. The space is very nice, lots of room, very light and great views. It’s right across from a playground which our kid was at daily. Short 5 min walk down to the main strip. The only thing which others have mentioned is it is a penthouse and there’s no elevator so you do have to navigate 5 floors of stairs to the unit. We had no issues with this and it’s what give the great views. Great value and would definitely stay here again.!

Great spot.

Comfortable. Good location. Nice views. Very helpful manager. Description of facilities is accurate (eg no lifts..). A few minor finishing touch ups would help make the property a bit more polished.

Simply Amazing!

Simply amazing experience! We stayed at Micheal’s apartment for almost a week. It was lovely. The apartment was clean and every room on the sea-view side had a balcony, including the bathroom! There was a full kitchen, and everything was in place. We had supper in the large terrace overseeing the sea and evening lights of the town. The tranquility… no one wanted to go back in. The area was also very conveniently located, walking distance of restaurants, shops, and grocery. The communication with Michael and his partner, Roberto was seamless. They were quick and knowledgeable on every question we asked. The promptness was very important to us as it lessen the stress just knowing what to do and where to go. Great location with great views!

It was a super way to see and immerse ourselves in Taormina and even Castelmola. The flat was well equipped, functional and easy to live in. Given the drying conditions in Taormina it was quite easy to get to by car. Getting into the main part of town was an easy 5 minute walk down the hill. We also enjoyed the easy access to the path up to Castelmola (20 minutes) where we discovered some good places to eat while enjoying spectacular views of Taormina and Mount Etna.

Don't stay here

6 flights of stairs with no lift. Stairwell with no lights. 600 meters to center, but didn't say down alot more stairs and a steep hill. Now we had to go up again through the whole process again. When our concern was voiced to owner he asked me not to write a bad review or he would give us a bad one too. Go ahead give me a bad review

We had an excellent holiday - the property is central to restaurants shops and the chair lift to the beach. All communication with the property manager has been very good - always prompt with good recommendations. The view from the patio area is stunning. Taormina is relatively hilly though and there are steps to the apartment which you need to be prepared for but for us the views were worth it! Many thanks

Very nice apartment located close to everything. Great communication even though I didn’t need much Roberto did allow us a late checkout with no problem. The one thing that would have been nice is to have a espresso machine , there is a espresso pot but no coffee to make it. Other than that it’s a great place if you’re visiting Taormina.

Lovely top floor apartment

Four of us stayed here and found the apartment has plenty of room for us. The apartment is a challenging walk uphill to get to and then another challenging walk up several flight stairs but all worth it for the amazing views of the sea on one side and mountains on the other. One large terrace to sit and relax as a group Apartment is a short downhill walk to the main high street and is located in a quiet residential area The apartment has everthing that you need in the kitchen and the owner was great in communicating with me

Taormina Stay

Magnificent views. Great location to centre. Comfortable living quarters Only drawback was that the penthouse was on the fifth floor with no elevator. Carrying luggage up 77 steps was difficult. It is not suitable for the elderly or anyone with any physical difficulties. But the stairs were great exercise for the rest of our stay

The Views!

Spacious penthouse apartment very close to the center of town. The terrace was wonderful place to hang out and the views are fantastic. The place was well-equipped, beautiful and spacious. The five-story walk up didn't bother us -- the views and privacy were worth it. It was hard to locate the exact building, even for local taxi drivers, gps couldn't pinpoint the building. Check-in was a little difficult. The trash situation was very hard to figure out -- instructions and containers needed.

Good views but not close to city center & restaurants.

5th floor apartment/no elevator - understood. NOT a short walk to city center as suggested - long walk up a steep incline to get to apt.. 2 of the bedrooms were very small. Roof terrace was great but other balconies were too small to use. Hope this helps.

Smaller then I thought...

The purpose of this review is to help the next traveler decide if this property is right for them. We had a good time in this apartment but it has its Pros/Cons: Pros: Excellent 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and balconies Fully functional 2 Bathrooms Excellent AC in almost every room Great views of the bay and mountains from the large open terrace Quite location away from the noise and crowds. Feels safe. Brand new working kitchen. Great communication with host, greetings upon arrival, taxi service recommendation etc Cons: The other 2 bedrooms are the size of a shoe box and only suitable for kids 15 or younger. If any adults from your party will have to sleep in one of those rooms, they will be very unhappy. Slope ceiling in the open DR/LR/ space is quite low and at one point going down to almost 4 feet, I hit my head a few times trying to get things out of the closet. Location: from Catania gates you need to walk up quite a bit of steep streets and stairs before you even get to the building and then again up the stairs to the top floor. Once you get there you are out of breath(I was) and need to take a shower. Parking is not easy to find. Would I stay there next time I am in Taormina-probably not. Will try to find something closer to main street without steep hike.

Michael was a great host and provided us with lots of really useful information about places to eat, things to visit and excellent travel directions to the apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and bright. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We wanted to spend some time experiencing Taormina and using it as a base to visit Etna and we were happy to find this apartment not too far from the town centre. It coincided with one of the hottest weeks this year so were glad of the air conditioning

I am originally from Germany but am living in Taormina for many years. Once you come to Taormina you will experience the mystic spirit this place has. Once experienced it's hard to return home so I decided to simply stay in one of the most beautiful places I know.

I degreed in Germany in economics and in engineering and gained my Ph.D. in Austria. I work for many years in the information technology business which gives me the opportunity to work "where my computer is".

Being married to an Italian I love cooking and enjoying life in its best way.
