Very relaxing stay

Our stay was fantastic, everything we needed was there for us and the cabin was so cozy . We had a family of deer visit us 3 times during our stay 🙂 would love to stay again in the future .

Great little spot, close to Blowing Rock

Great location. Very clean. Minutes from shopping and restaurants but still quiet and wooded. Basic amenities but nice little touches like handmade soap. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch and having a fire. Really appreciate a place where dogs are welcome!

Great location

Location is great. Pots/pans and general kitchen utensils could use an upgrade. Snow shovel would be beneficial. Salt left at house was greatly appreciated.

Has everything you want and need

Perfect location, close to area attractions yet still feels tucked away and secluded. Cabin has all you need for an extended stay with plenty of dining options and grocery store near by. If you prefer to stay in cabin has lots of streaming options, high speed Internet, puzzles and games. Cabin was clean and host was responsive. Will likely rebook.

Short mtn getaway

This place is amazing. So cozy and clean! I wish we could Have stayed longer!! The pictures don’t do it justice! Owners/hosts are amazing and very easy to work with! Kcups and creamer in kitchen if needed, this saved this toddler’s mamma life! Homemade goats soap was ahhhmazing! So cozy and quaint! Only 5-10 minutes from dt! Will def like to return!

Great weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! We loved that it was dog and kid-friendly so our whole family could enjoy the property. Great location close to Blowing Rock and Boone!

Cozy Clean Comfortable Pet Friendly Cabin

We celebrated our anniversary by getting away and staying at this cozy cabin. We loved being able to bring our two whippets with us and being able to enjoy the beautiful sites and mountains. If we visit the area again, we will definitely stay at this nice place.

Great Little Mountain Getaway

Great location

Beautiful home. Great location close to everything. Our kids (4 and 7) enjoyed the games in the basement. The whole family enjoyed the fire pit. Plenty of space for dogs to run. We loved it!

Cozy, quiet and great location

We loved this cabin. It is far away enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough to be near shopping and restaurants in 15 min. Our kids loved playing on the rocks and the deck, and had every amenity we needed including everything we forgot for a campfire! Check-in was flawless. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Perfect getaway

If you’re looking for a cabin minutes to downtown blowing rock and bass lake stop right here. This is the place! Extremely clean and the cabin had everything we needed. My partner, one year old and dog enjoyed our stay so much. We played ping pong, did s’mores by the fire, and enjoyed the peace and quiet on the deck. Owners were more than accommodating and the check in and check out process was a breeze. Will most certainly be coming back and I have already recommended to family and friends! So glad we found this gem!

Lovely place

Great place -clean, cute, comfortable with a great yard for walking the dogs around; and we enjoyed seeing this section of the parkway. Our only frustration was coming in as we were counting on GPS to supplement the directions (esp since we were coming from the west) but our.cell service on the parkway and the area in general was almost non existent.

Awesome Stay!!

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend away and were very pleased with the cabin and its awesome location. As mentioned in some of the other posts the pictures really don’t do it justice. It’s so cozy and very clean and well maintained. The proximity to Blowing Rock was perfect! A quick and easy drive to town to get out and about! We enjoyed time by the fire pit one night and even got in a few games of ping pong down in the basement area. We had a great stay and look forward to returning next time and bring our kids!!

My husband and I live in Lenoir NC with our 5 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, 3 grandchildren and now my precious father. I am an ER nurse, employed with Blue Ridge Health Care for the past 25 years. My husband is self-employed, pours concrete for a living and can do just about anything he sets his mind to.

Rocky Meadows is a special place. My father's great aunt, Minerva Walker Goldsmith, purchased this property around 1929 to spend summers away from the heat of Palm Beach. Aunt Bee was known for her modernist watercolor landscape and seascape paintings. She developed a love for the mountains and sold property to her friends, one being Phillip Moose, who established what is now Artist Alley. As a little girl, I loved spending parts of my summers in Blowing Rock which led to my attending Appalachian State and then eventually meeting my husband.

My husband and I built the cabin ourselves using re-purposed materials. What I love most about the cabin is the privacy that it provides. It is close to the road but offers a feeling of seclusion, it sits on 3 acres. It is completely surrounded by nature with no other homes in sight. While the cabin is secluded, it is just a short drive into town. There are restaurants, shopping and entertainment close by. It is also close to the Parkway, Moses Cone and Price Park.
