Angela gave us all the information we could possibly think to ask for before we arrived, and there was still more information in books and brochures around the flat.
Best of all was what we came to refer to as "the bible," which had the tips that most people just never think to mention - like exactly what the various washer cycles do and which wall switches and timers control what.
To be honest, I was more than a little suspicious that in the description, there wasn't a picture of the double bedroom. So I was prepared for some sort of surprise. Nope. It was spacious and comfortable and had a killer view of Rothesay Bay.
Since the flat overlooks a major street to the Bay, I had also been concerned about traffic noise. However, for all we could tell, everyone on the island must use electric vehicles at night. There was no noticeable road noise and, better yet, the 2:00 a.m. troubadors that seem to inhabit every town of any size must not like the acoustics in that area.
Ample parking is right behind the building, but there is also ample free on-street parking right in front. Being naturally lazy, I went with the on-street parking, because it was a shorter walk to carry luggage in from the car.
And I can't say enough about Angela, who practically hovered over us to make sure that we found the place OK, got in without any issues, and got cozied in without any confusion. She even followed up afterward to ensure our stay was perfect - a true hostess.
We'll be back.
