"We were allowed to spend a sensational skiing holiday week in the Chalet "La Pente". Actually we wanted to spend the ski vacations in another place, but because of an avalanche the whole ski area was closed and we had to look for an alternative. The incredibly uncomplicated nature of Patricia and her family, allowed us to book the same day and within a few hours their wonderful chalet. Everything was perfect even if the way from the parking lot to the chalet, because of all the snow, was rather arduous... whereby, a lot of snow for skiing vacations is also dreamlike! The chalet is excellently furnished and we found everything we needed and much more. Everything worked perfectly and there is really nothing we could complain. The biggest luxury of the chalet were the ski boxes, which were available directly at the ski lift. What a relief when you can walk with the kids in about 5 minutes and equipped with normal shoes (no skis and no poles) to the ski lift, there in the heated room in which the ski boxes are located, change comfortably and then go directly to the ski lift! Honestly... that was a real revelation! Thank you so much, Patricia, for making this wonderful ski vacation possible for us on such short notice!"
"We stayed in February 2018, and were 3 French families with 9 kids, and a total of 15. The Chalet was fantastic with a great view on the valley. The main living room, with its chimney and comfortable sofas, and its huge wooden table that can truly accommodate our large group, provided excellent comfort for our afternoon and evenings after a full day of skiing. The chalet and the kitchen is better equipped than you could dream off, it really feels like you are not in Chalet made for rental activity, but more like you are invited at some friends place that leave there throughout the year. More so, it felt like our home. Rooms are big and very comfortable***

*** One of them, providing 6 beds, is perfect for kids. Equipment also for babies (chairs and beds). We elected to come with our own food and prepare every dinner / breakfast, which I believe is that right option considering the limited choice in the nearby supermarkets. Anyway, with such a great chalet, we really did not want to get out for dinner. Patricia is super available at all times, and manages everything from distance in an amazing way. We received detailed instructions, and everything is made to make the stay a success for every guest. Ski chairlifts are within walking distance, you should count 5 to 10 min max, which was for us an important criteria. If you have young kids like we did, there are 2 options : either you have a baby sitter or nanny that joins and stay with you in the Chalet (one of the room in the lower flow would be perfect for that), or there is a crèche / Kindergarten in Thyon 2000 that you can reach after a 10 min drive. These ingredients are: first a friendly group of friends or family in 2 or 3 generations, then a beautiful view in summer and in winter, sports options within walking distance so that the car does not have to be used every day, comfortable, nice atmosphere in the house, outside many options to sit and of course good beds!
We are both economists, one thinks from a past in the holiday sector and from construction and the other thinks from spatial, architecture and interior. All together made chalet La Pente what it is today.
They are also internationally oriented, have language skills in English, French and German (a little Spanish) and in 2019 we have now completed a new renovation of 2 houses in the South of France / Juan les Pins at a 4-minute walk from the sea (in total there are 24 beds) (VillaChalet.eu).
