Villa Il Gelso is een van de drie villa's van Casali Cellini. Zorgvuldige restauratie voltooid in mei 2015, met gebruik van originele antieke materialen, heeft de stijl van de boerderij behouden en gezorgd voor een oude sfeer met moderne technologie. De hoofdvilla heeft 2 prachtige tweepersoonskamers ensuite op de eerste verdieping en een tweepersoonsslaapkamer met een eigen badkamer op de begane grond. De Suite Cottage, 10 meter ver van de hoofdvilla, biedt een zeer grote tweepersoonskamer met open haard en een grote badkamer met een grote douche en een moderne badkuip. Het huisje, 10 meter ver van de Suite Cottage, biedt een elegante slaapkamer met douche en dubbele wastafel binnen, gescheiden toilet. Wij verhuren het hele pand. De ruime slaapkamers zijn ingericht met elegante kleuren. Stijlvolle en ruime badkamers, uitgerust met bad, douche (2 met watermassage) en alle voorzieningen om intieme privacy tijdens uw verblijf te voltooien. Een ruime woonkamer en eetkamer met een verbazingwekkende moderne open haard bevindt zich op de begane grond.
Vanuit de woonkamer heeft u toegang tot de slaapkamer op de begane grond. Vanuit de eetkamer heeft u toegang tot de prachtige moderne keuken via een aperitiefgedeelte.

De keuken is uitgerust met alle voorzieningen (90 cm oven, 90 cm elektrische kookplaat, vaatwasser, broodrooster, Amerikaanse koffie, Nespresso-koffiezetapparaat). Direct buiten de keuken heeft u toegang tot het prieel waar u kunt lunchen of dineren (10 personen) met een prachtig uitzicht op Montepulciano. Naast het prieel kunt u genieten van barbecueroosters met vrienden. U kunt het adembenemende uitzicht op de zachte Toscaanse heuvels rondom bewonderen en het geluid van stilte horen.
De grote privétuin met een panoramisch, prachtig zwembad met uitzicht op Montepulciano om u een ontspannen vakantie te garanderen. In de was kunt u een wasmachine en droger vinden.
De hele villa is voorzien van airconditioning, verwarming en wi-fi. Veilig op aanvraag.

"Hostess With The Mostest"

Nine of us spent a wonderful week at Villa II Gelso. It was as lovely as the description and accommodated both our group activities and meals, as well as plenty of spots to get away from the group with a book or a nap. But the real jewel was our hostess, Mariacristina. For the year leading up to our trip there she patiently answered a ton of questions, always responding within hours of our emails. She gave us some great recommendations and helped arrange a visit to De Ricci, an amazing winery, and a chef who came to the villa to make us a couple dinners. She even led a yoga class for us on the grounds! While we were there she was immediately responsive to any of our requests. She had described her villa to me as "shabby chic" and I would add to that extremely cozy and welcoming.

Fantastic stay in beautiful property . Best villa we’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in many. Good bathrooms and good kitchen equipment here .These two things have let other properties down. Nice quality glassware and cutlery , not the usual mismatch. Villa is in peaceful location , yet handy for the lovely town of Montepulciano and its restaurants and supermarket . Tuscan retreat

We had a group of 11 stay and could not have loved our time more. The location was a great central spot to drive to different towns. We loved relaxing by the pools in the afternoons and our dinners al fresco. An incredible place to spend your vacation.

Tuscany dream vacation!

Our extended family travelled to Tuscany for two weeks and this property was everything we hoped for. The views are amazing, the main villa and casitas have plenty of amenities. the host Mariacristina provided great suggestions for groceries, places to visit and restaurants around the area. Highlights of our trip included a winery tour, day trips to Florence, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena and Rome (to name a few), a cooking class at the villa and plenty of time lounging by the pool admiring the local surroundings. Thanks for such an amazing vacation!

I gave Villa IL Gelso and Mariachristina my highest 5 star rating.

Wow - I don't know where to begin. We absolutely loved the time we spent here. The Villa was exactly as described - rustic, private, clean, peaceful, comfortable and with all the modern conveniences. It was hot for a few weeks and the air conditioning worked great. The location is 15 minutes to Montepulciano and even less time to Pienza. Close enough to food shopping and anything else you need, but far enough away to really sense that you are in the Tuscany countryside. The grounds and pool are well maintained and the views and sunsets are amazing. The cleaning crew came every Saturday to change towels, sheets and do a thorough cleaning of all 3 houses. Mariacristina was a great host and always made herself available for questions, recommendations and any minor issues that came up. We hired a cook to come twice and our entire family had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely delicious. I gave Villa IL Gelso and Mariachristina my highest 5 star rating. Thank you so much for a unforgettable vacation.

Excellent wonderful property! We visited a different town everyday, none more than 11/2 hours away. The pool was relaxing after long days of touring. We had 4 couples and each had their own ensuite bedroom. The property couldn't be better!

Erholsamer Urlaub in traumhafter Lage

Bei unserem Aufenthalt mit 10 Personen, einem Kleinkind und zwei süßen Hunden war bis auf zu wenig Beschattung, speziell am Pool, alles wunderbar! Wir hatten vorsorglich jedoch eigene Sonnensegel von zu Hause mitgebracht, ohne die es auch nicht gegangen wäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

Vielen Dank an Mariacristina, die sich bewundernswert um unsere Anliegen gekümmert hat. Alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Vom WiFi am Pool bis zur Klimaanlage in allen Bereichen. Die Aufteilung mit den separaten Gebäuden war herrlich. Es bietet Platz und eine grosse Freiheit. Die Einrichtung ist super modern. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt in der Villa Il Gelso mit Freude weiterempfehlen.

Wunderbar!

Wir waren mit der „erweiterten“ Familie (6 Erwachsene) für zwei wundervolle Wochen in der Villa Il Gelso. Die Villa mit ihren beiden Cottages ist herrlich geschmackvoll restauriert und ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Aufgrund des grandiosen Wetters konnten wir den großen Pool ausgiebig nutzen. Landschaft und Aussicht sind traumhaft. Besonders empfehlen können wir auch die Kochkünste von Tuscan Chef Alessandro, der in den beiden Wochen dreimal bei uns war. Insbesondere der Kochkurs mit vier Gängen, inklusive selbstgemachter Pasta (Pici), war ein Riesenspass. Unsere Vermieterin Mariacristina war jederzeit für uns da und hat uns neben Restaurantempfehlungen auch bei der Organisation von Wine Tastings unterstützt. Fazit: herrliche Location für einen wundervollen Urlaub in der südlichen Toskana!

Geschmackvoll renoviertes Anwesen in einer der schönsten Gegenden der Toskana. Schöner Blick. Sehr schöner Pool aus Travertin. Super Service, jeden Tag wurde der Müll abgeholt, die Klima sofort repariert.

Simply the best

Spectacular villa in an amazing location overlooking Montepulciano. All of the rooms at the villa were immaculately clean, stylishly decorated and well appointed. There is a beautiful pool area with a large outdoor covered dining area, charcoal grill and large fire pit. Our host Maria Christina is a wonderful person and the perfect host! We loved this place, it is definitely the finest VRBO where we have ever stayed!

Stunning villa and location

We were a group of 4 couples (family and friends) that have just returned from a fantastic week at IlGelso. Mariacristina is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. She was very quick to respond if we needed any help or advice. The villa, grounds and views are spectacular. It’s nicely laid out with 3 double bedrooms in the main villa and 2 separate cottages (which are amazing). This works well as it gives each couple their own space. The swimming pool is absolutely wonderful – it’s so clean and inviting, well maintained and a good size for swimming. There are plenty of loungers for sunbathing and the view is amazing. The location is great and we visited lovely towns and villages. We enjoyed visits to Montepulciano, Pienza and Montefollonico as well as some local wineries. However, we chose to spend much of our time at the villa around the pool relaxing and enjoying the views and the peace and quiet. We all had a wonderful week and recommend the villa and Mariacristina without hesitation.

Best Family Vacation Ever!

Our family had an amazing vacation week at the property. If there are any questions, the response time is very fast. It is prefect for multigenerational travel. Mariachristina's property is as beautiful as in the photos and is a relaxing place to spend family time. Local towns are very convenient to visit and all of the recommendations we received worked out perfectly. The grandchildren loved the pool and the evenings by the fire were very nice. The recommended chef prepared our dinner and that was a true culinary experience. We enjoyed our time very much.

Two Glorious Weeks

My husband and I reserved Villa Il Gelso over a year ago for a two week vacation in Tuscany. We rented it based off prior reviews and the pictures of the property - yet still were a bit cautious about going as we had two groups friends joining us. It far exceeded our expectations in every way. The setting is spectacular and so quiet. The spaciousness of the Villa and both cottages was perfect for our first group of 9 - we never felt crowded. The proximity to Pienza and Montepulciano was great - about a 15 minute drive to both. We arranged for the Tuscan Chef (Eleanora) to cook 3 dinners and give two cooking lessons during our stay - it was truly a highlight. Mariacristina, the owner, could not have been any more accommodating during our stay. When we discovered our tire had gone flat while at the Villa, she recommended a place to have it fixed. When we arrived, she had even called ahead to alert them and they put everything aside to work on our car. She gave excellent recommendations on where to dine and wines to try. The entire property was right out of a movie - no detail was overlooked and everything was first class. It was a slice of Heaven and our two weeks flew by too quickly.

Wonderful vacation amid the Tuscan hills

Our extended family of 12 stayed at Villa Il Gelso for two weeks in October. It was a vacation that was all we could have wished for. The main house, the two cottages and the yard were as wonderful as shown in the photos on the website. The villa looks out over the hills and valleys at Montepulciano, Monte Amiata, and Montefollonico. The setting is stunning. Many beautiful, historic towns and villages, as well as vineyards producing Vino Nobile, Brunello and Chianti, are all within very short drives of Il Gelso. When we were not exploring the surrounding villages and countryside, we were more than happy to sit by the pool with a glass of wine, take in the view, and appreciate our good fortune.The more energetic of us hiked from the villa to Montefollonico, or got in their daily runs on nearby small back roads or walked through the fields and woods below the villa. In the evenings, we often cooked at the villa, ate at the large dining room table and then enjoyed the rest of the evening around the outdoor fire pit. Mariacristina was a kind and considerate host who was available in person or by text if we had a question. All of us, unhesitatingly, would return to Il Gelso.

I was born and grew up in Treviso, close to Venice . My grandmother was from Tuscany so we often spent holidays in this magic land . I took agriculture degree in Padova and then I have been running my family organic farm in Veneto for many years. My deep love for Tuscany made me transfer here with all my family, in 2012 . We bought this property in 2011 and others two, we are now restoring, in 2012. We really fell in love with this amazing land and true people. Everything here is full of poetry and history.
