Versalir is een adembenemende hut van 71,5 vierkante meter die op een PRIVÉ-land in het zuiden van IJSLAND staat. De meest perfecte LOCATIE voor de GOUDEN CIRKEL. De cabine Versalir is goed uitgerust en prachtig ingericht, gebouwd door de eigenaars. Het is geschikt voor maximaal 6 personen, met twee slaapkamers en een comfortabele slaapbank in de woonkamer. Beide kamers hebben een FLAT SCREEN TV en TWEE TWIN BEDDEN, die kunnen worden samengevoegd om super KING BEDDEN te maken. De woonkamer heeft een comfortabele bank, een ONTSPANNENDE stoel, PROJECTOR voor het bekijken van films met een TWEE LUIDSPREKER thuisbioscoop en een BRANDPLAATS. De uitstekende eetkamer biedt plaats aan maximaal zes personen en heeft een prachtige volledig UITGERUSTE KEUKEN. De badkamer is zeer ruim en heeft een goede warme douche. Ook is het dek / terras toegankelijk vanuit de badkamer.

Het uitzicht rondom de cabine is prachtig met BERGEN die zich uitstrekken in de omgeving. Er is een 120 vierkante meter privéterras / patio dat rondom de cabine ligt, uitgerust met een gezellige HETE TUB en een BBQ-GRILL - Perfect om te genieten van het SPECTACULAIRE UITZICHT, STERRENZICHT en de NOORDELIJKE LICHTEN te vangen. Genieten van de ZONSOPGANG en ZONSONDERGANG op het dek / terras is een onvergetelijke ervaring. Het dek / de patio van de cabine heeft een ROLSTOEL oprit naast de ingang en heeft een GRATIS PARKEERRUIMTE voor maximaal vier auto's indien correct geparkeerd.

Fantastisch

Wat een fijn verblijf hebben we gehad, een heerlijke cabin, de Hottub met deze sneeuwstormen was fantastisch, de ligging prachtig , en we waren van alle gemakken voorzien. Voor herhaling vatbaar. De handleiding die werd toegestuurd ontzettend duidelijk.

Nice cabin, relaxed stay

We stayed four nights in Versalir and enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in the cabin with four adults and the place was an excellent choice for us. The two bedrooms have excellent beds and the living is spacious. We used the kitchen for breakfast, but also cooked dinner twice. All appliances are available to cook a nice dinner. We also used the hottub once and that was a very nice experience as well, although it took a little longer to heat it up than we had liked. The location of the cabine is good, in the middle of the golden circle, near mayor sites, within reach of sites in the south and about 15 minutes from Selfoss where there are stores, supermarkets and restaurants. Responses to email were prompt and we received excellent driving directions and a complete manual for the cabin that were both very helpful. We had a great four days and certainly recommend Versalir for a stay in Iceland in any season.

Cozy, comfortable, and safe

My boyfriend and I travelled from the US for our first time ever to Iceland. The cabin was super comfortable and the location was perfect for enjoying a lot of the golden circle. The projector movie screen was our favorite after long days of hiking and driving. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Iceland! The mini mart with the restaurant down the street was our favorite place so far to have dinner. We felt very safe in the location and enjoyed being away from the city. We did not get to enjoy the hot tub because we found ourselves in the natural hot springs!

The property is well kept, and mostly well stocked. Its in a beautiful quiet location about 20 minute drive from selfoss. Hiking is nearby.

A perfect base for our visit

A perfect base camp for our visit to the Golden circle. We were able to see the Aurora Borealis 2 out of 3 nights from the hot tub. The book said hot tub would take 1-2 hours to prepare, in our experience, since it is winter and colder, it took a lot longer (4-5 hours)

Perfect base for Iceland adventures!

We had the best 5 nights at Versalir, perfect location for adventuring around the southern part of the island - essentially an hour drive to everything you could want. The cabin is SO warm and welcoming and hosts friendly and helpful. The pictures on the listing are a little outdated - the shower room has been modernised for example, but if anything it is better than shown. Can’t wait to return!

A home from home

Versalir Cabin was the perfect base for our Icelandic adventures. Its location is ideal for traveling to any of the numerous places of interest that are everywhere in Iceland’s South-West. We will definitely be back again and again. Thank you!

Versalier Cabin - A Winterdream

Very nice Cabin to visit some of the highlights in South-Iceland like Pingvellir, Gulfoss and the Geysir Strokkur.To sit in the hotpot and see the Artic Lights in the sky is really amazing.We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin.

Versalir

Great property a very short drive from Selfoss. We stayed a week in early November. The check in book is very thorough. I am very glad the beds were comfortable (rare these days with rental properties) and the owners were very quick to respond with all communication both prior and during our stay. The only complaints i can think of is that we could not find a switch to turn off the deck lighting which would have helped out on getting some better shots of the northern lights (which even with the wild storms we encountered, we were able to experience twice!!) And that there are two extemely bright spotlights from a building far away that was always attacking us. Outside of that, the location was perfect and absolutely remote enough to easily get to all the places we wanted to get to on the southern island.

Amazing Cottage with Amazing Views

We had a wonderful time at this holiday house! It is centrally located to the Golden circle, and within an easy drive Selfoss and sights! The owners were very attentive to our needs and the house has everything you need to cook a meal, relax and just enjoy your surroundings. Highly recommend to anyone!

Location and place is great! Very nice setup. Hot tub wasn’t expected with how to use. Returning key at end of stay is not very accommodating to guests especially if you’re leaving in dark with no lights in area. Overall great place and location and owners were responsive.

Großartige Unterkunft mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten

Auch wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Check-In hat reibungslos geklappt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war immer freundlich, Anfragen wurden umgehend beantwortet. Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage, um viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Sie liegt abgelegen und trotzdem dicht an der Straße. Man hat absolut seine Ruhe und ist für sich. Einziges Manko war leider, dass es extrem hellhörig ist. Wir würden aber trotzdem gern wieder kommen 😊 Erwähnenswert ist vielleicht auch noch, dass der Whirlpool leider keine Düsen hat. Davon sind wir bei der Bezeichnung “Whirlpool“ ausgegangen und haben uns drauf gefreut. Hat dann aber auch nicht gestört, denn bei durchschnittlich 10 Grad Außentemperatur im fast 40 Grad warmen Pool zu liegen, war auch ein schönes Erlebnis. Man sollte es im Vorfeld einfach nur wissen.

Icelandic Paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay at Versalir Cabin! Excellent location for day trips to many areas and in a very beautiful setting. We actually did some really cool hikes within 15-20 minutes from Versalir. Accommodations were good and comfortable, many nice amenities. We enjoyed grilling dinners with the Mountain View from the deck and having space for our family of four to enjoy.

Wonderful stay!

Great space with room for all. Within an hour of many main sights we wanted to see. Felt remote, but safe and only a 15 minute drive to the cute town of Selfoss. We stayed 2 nights and the rest of our trip to Iceland we were in various hotels. Everyone said their favorite accommodation was the cabin. Definitely recommend! The only negative was the washer/dryer. If you are going to do laundry plan for it to take a very long time!

Amazing Must Stay At Cabin

Our stay here was amazing. They had everything you would need and it felt like a home away from home. We spent many of the cool nights in the hot tub. It is far enough away from the road to enjoy the peace. But also not too far from many of the views and excursions around to make it perfect.

Beautiful cabin with amazing views. Excellent location for visiting the golden circle. The hot was lovely, but it does take longer to warm up than the instructions implied. Would definitely recommend to family and freinds.

Erlingur & Ingvar started their business in 20th of September 2013 when they bought their first land in Grimsnes, south of Iceland. They used up their savings for the down payment and got a loan to pay the rest. They started planting treas and digging for streams. On 17th of June 2014 they received their first shipment of material for building Versalir cabin. They worked very hard, along side their jobs as engineers in Reykjavik, for 9 months building this cabin.

On 10th of March 2015 the first guests arrived to Versalir cabin. Two couples from India. Since then they have done all sorts of stuff. They will continue to focus on their cabin business and also other projects that they are passionate about. Their newest property is Breidablik cabin which is absoulutly stunning!
