‘Crescent Moon’ is a welcoming, year-round venue to host your family get-together or share some beach memories among families. The house sits on quiet, W. Cooper Ave where you’ll be able to hear the surf from your bedroom or the two front porches. The street is not a through street and, as such, is a very safe place for you and your kids to walk, ride bikes, or visit the Wave Watch playground just a few steps away. A short, three-minute walk to the beach allows you and your guests to head to the seashore in the morning, come back to clean off in the outdoor shower, for lunch or just a break from the sun, and then head back to the beach in the afternoon or take in the evening breezes on the spacious screened front porch. Take advantage of the large kitchen with gas range and the new gas grill just outside on the back deck to feed your crew of up to 14 for dinner. There is ample seating for all at the two large tables. After dinner, head back to the beach to watch the sunset and then stroll to Center Street for some ice cream and Folly nightlife which always features plenty of live music. When you return, you’ll get a great night’s sleep on the new, premium mattresses (hybrid memory foam gel for the 2 kings and queen and memory foam mattresses for the 2 fulls and 4 twins). All bedrooms are appointed with ceiling fans and HDTVs. When not at the beach, catch the game in the family room on the spectacular 65” 4k Smart TV, or stream movies or your favorite shows over the Comcast Xfinity Wi-Fi. The kids will love the downstairs entertainment room for hanging out together, watching TV and playing games on the Xbox 360.
Folly Beach and many Center Street restaurants are dog friendly, as is Crescent Moon which offers a fenced-in backyard. If you are considering bringing pets, please let us know. There will be an additional charge, but we’ll make sure they are welcome.
During your visit, make sure to take in historic Charleston which is only a 20-minute drive away.
Our house sits on a very quiet neighborhood street with a mix of full time residents and vacation rentals. Because of this location, our house is not suitable for parties or late night gatherings. It is a perfect place to quietly enjoy the company of your friends and family staying with you but is not available for weddings, receptions or any other events where additional people would be invited or the noise would disrupt the neighborhood.

Crescent Moon sits on quiet W. Cooper Ave. This is not a through street so there's not much traffic and just half a block to the end of the street is the Wave Watch playground. A great beach alternative for toddlers and young children.
Comply with the Folly Beach Rules and Regulations. A link to those rules is included in your pre-arrival email and are posted in the vacation rental.
Check In:
1. Early check in or late check out may result in an additional charge to the guest.
2. We will try to meet you at the house on your arrival. You will be emailed the code the week before your arrival.
During Your Stay:
3. Report problems to the manager or Folly Beach Public Safety
4. Propane tank refills are guests’ responsibility.
5. No "Partying" or loud music. Active noise monitoring systems are installed in the house and will alert me if the noise level is above the set threshold.
6. Please adhere to the maximum occupancy for your house. Additional people may
overwhelm the septic system which is sized to the house.
7. Additional guests must be coordinated with the owner prior to check-in.
8. Hurricane policy. If an evacuation for Folly Beach is ordered by a government
agency you may elect to vacate the property. Notify the manager of your intention to vacate.
You will receive a refund for the prorated portion of your stay covered by the evacuation order.
10. No smoking or vaping within the house. Smoking and vaping are allowed outside the house,
including screened porches. Please ensure all areas are clear of smoking materials on departure.
A $200 charge will be deducted from the deposit if guests smoke or vape inside.
Check Out
11. Remove all items from the refrigerator and set home thermostat at 75 degrees.
12. Wash dishes, strip bed sheets and pillow cases, take out all garbage.
13. Close propane tank valve (under BBQ Grill – turn clockwise).
14. Lock the doors when you leave.
15. Costs resulting from damaged, missing items, or
additional cleaning shall be collected from you. Please be advised: MINIMUM
charge is $100 for ANY repairs, additional cleaning or cigarette butts left outside the home.
16. Payment of the reservation funds indicates acceptance of this agreement. If you cancel this
reservation, the manager will make every effort to find new renters. If he is able to do so, he will
refund the reservation funds up to the amount of rent collected for the cancelled dates from the
new renters. Otherwise, the reservation funds will not be reimbursed.
