Dit charmante stijlvolle Lake House van 85 vierkante meter ligt in een van de mooiste, schilderachtigste en populairste gebieden van IJsland en biedt een adembenemend prachtig uitzicht over het meer van Alftavatn (Zwanenmeer) en is zeer goed gelegen voor het spotten van noorderlicht vanuit onze hot tub!

The Lake House heeft een adembenemend prachtig uitzicht over het meer van Alftavatn (Zwanenmeer) en de majestueuze Ingolfsjall (Ingolfs-berg genoemd naar de eerste kolonist van IJsland). Comfortabel en met alles wat u nodig heeft, is het huis ook gunstig gelegen, dicht bij de meeste opwindende toeristische attracties van de zuidkust, waaronder de Gouden Cirkel, Gullfoss, Geysir en vele mooie ruiterpaden en golfbanen. Ook, zeer goed gelegen voor het spotten van noorderlicht, kunt u 's avonds genieten van velen zitten in het bubbelbad en kijken naar het noorderlicht boven u dansen.

Let op: de uitchecktijd is 11.00 uur en u kunt op elk gewenst moment na 16.00 uur inchecken.

Mooie locatie, centraal voor de golden circle

Het huisje is gezellig maar gedateerd, waardoor wij het eigenlijk te duur vonden voor de prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Zeker in vergelijking tot het huisje dat we de eerste week hadden gehuurd. De derde slaapkamer was geen kamer, maar een gangetje. Het huis had niet altijd goede WiFi, het vullen en opwarmen van de hot-tub duurde erg lang, de pannen waren slecht, er was geen theepot. Verder aardig contact met de verhuurder. Huisje ligt mooi, als ze de struiken snoeien en het uitzicht blijft.

Beautiful rural location

Wonderful little lake house in the country! Cozy and scenic. Kitchen is well-appointed. There's little out here but it's close to Selfoss for restaurants & stores. Owner was very helpful and check-in was easy. Definitely would recommend!

Beautiful property and lovely hot tub

Nice, clean and comfortable property. The hot tub was so cool how it used natural spring water to fill and heat. We loved our stay and I highly recommend.

Amazing Stay

This was an amazing place to stay! We loved all the little extras like robes for the hot tub, Nespresso machine, and hot chocolate. The place felt so cozy and had a country cottage feel. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights for about 2 hours one of our nights. We highly recommended this property, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a great time!

This cabin was super cozy and was perfect for our group of six. The view was gorgeous and we loved how secluded the location felt. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub, and we even got to see the northern lights from the deck! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Northern Light Stay

Perfect, magical stay

An absolutely stunning property with a fabulous view. Located very privately but still only 10 mins drive from Selfoss. The views, hot tub, size of the property and amenities were perfect. Instructions and communication from the host were very clear. We all had a magical time and would love to come back again one day.

Terrific location!

Wonderful well equipped lake house. Fantastic views. When visiting Iceland there is a lot of driving involved and this location is spot on for getting around. Would definitely book again.

Best view from a hot tub you can get!

Fantastic place to stay to explore the golden circle. The house has stunning views from the back deck and hot tub - which was so nice to use during our stay. We were in the hot tub every evening to relax after a day of exploring the area. The same views can be seen from the kitchen and living room inside - which are just stunning! The house was super private, and had woods and greenery all around, and was so peaceful. We cooked every day, and found everything we needed to make great meals, and having a dishwasher is a plus (mandatory for us). The host was great at communciation, and the house was super clean when we arrived, and had towels and robes for the hot tub - which was a nice touch. In addition there is a fancy coffee machine, so had great coffee each morning. The beds are really comfy, and the bedrooms had dark shades to help with sleeping while light outside. Overall great stay!

Wonderful stay

We loved this home. It was our best stay while in Iceland. The house was a perfect size for our family of 4. The master was spacious and the comforter/ linens were nice. We enjoyed the hot tub. The best luxury extras were the clean robes for use. We would highly recommend. It is a little off the beaten path but convenient to all the attractions in the area.

Awesome views and location

We had a great time at Emma's cabin!! Everything was clean and well stocked. The views from everywhere were terrific. Living room/Deck/Hot tub all overlooking the lake and mountains. Great central but private location! !5 minutes to town with many restaurants (Loved Krisp) Easy to Golden Circle (Bruarfoss falls followed by Efstidalur dairy next door is a must) / 1/2 hour to the trail for geothermal river which was a great hike.

Amazing location

Wonderful location with a drop dead view. Host was super and accommodated changes we needed to make. Home was considerately stocked with esstentials such as coffee/ tea and spices. Loved the bathrobes and home is tastefully decorated. We truly enjoyed every minute and couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing home base for our iceland adventures.

Great stay

This was a great property. It had a great view. You could see the lake and mountain. There's enough of a clearing with the trees in the front of the property for viewing the northern lights. The owner was fantastic and went well above and beyond when we had left an item there and can't express enough how grateful we were for that.

Fabulous location, house, facilities and owners

A hidden gem

I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful this property is! We were very lucky to call this a homebase when the entire country was shut down due to the record breaking snowstorm. We are from Minnesota and have always dreamed of getting snowed in while on vacation! These gracious hosts reached out and offered to coordinate a plow so we could continue our many planned adventures in this winter wonderland. Other guests weren’t lying when they commented on viewing the northern lights from the hot tub. Breathtaking!

We loved the Lake House!!

The house was so perfect, with an absolutely beautiful view. We loved our stay and relaxing in the evenings after our adventures during the day. We loved soaking in the hot tub at night. We only wished we had planned to stay longer! We would love to come back!!
