La Majada Alta is gevestigd in een nationaal park, en staat op een paar duizend vierkante meter eigen grond in een uitzonderlijk mooie omgeving van bergen en meren. Het huisje is ideaal voor degenen die genieten van de ontspannende klanken van geit klokken of de roep van de oehoe of de aanblik van adelaars drijven overhead. Dit is ook een ideale uitvalsbasis voor de meer actieve bezoeker die de tevredenheid van de prachtige wandelingen, de meren, de witte dorpjes, de beroemde kloof van El Chorro, of de fantastische kalksteenformaties bij El Torcal zult vinden.
Als je gelooft in magie je zal genieten van La Majada Alta huisje.

Kust / Strand
De badplaatsen Torremolinos, Fuengirola en Marbella (Costa del Sol) zijn ongeveer 1½ uur rijden van het huisje. De Atlantische stranden van Tarifa zijn ca. 3 uur.

Antequera Golf is 30 km of 40 minuten rijden. Alhaurin Golf is 45 km of 50 minuten rijden.

Skiën
Het skigebied van Sol y Nieve in de Sierra Nevada in Granada is geopend van Kerstmis tot eind april. De lift-systeem is snel en modern met gondels en 4 man stoelen en skiën is tot 3000m met gevarieerde pistes en een mogelijke 1000m afdaling. Je kunt op de piste in minder dan 3 uur van het huisje.

Fantastische plek!

Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in een idyllisch huis met prachtig uitzicht. Colin is een geweldige gastheer die veel weet van de omgeving en erg behulpzaam. Het zwembad was heerlijk en er kwam regelmatig iemand om het schoon te maken. Wanneer je van rust en natuur wil genieten dan is dit een aanrader. Elke dag kwamen de berggeiten om water te drinken uit het zwembad. Alleen niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn, omdat je met een trap naar beneden naar het zwembad moet. Wij komen graag weer.

Superlocatie.

Vriendelijke ontvangst door Colin in dit fantastische vakantiehuis. Alles was schoon. Goed uitgeruste keuken waar al het nodige aanwezig is voor een zorgeloos verblijf. Zeer rustige ligging met veel privacy. Hier komen we nog terug.

Beste uitzicht ooit!

Dit vakantiehuis in de bergen bij Malaga is echt prachtig. In- en exterieur verraden veel aandacht voor detail. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras aan de achterkant van het huis is wondermooi. En het zwembad is goed onderhouden, schoon en een super plek om te zitten. Wij vonden het zo’n fijne plek dat we overwegen terug te komen!

A lovely week

Driving from the airport to the house was quite easy, the directions that were provided after the booking were very clear. We followed the advice of Colin and did our groceries at the supermarket close to the airport. The last part of the road is a bit exiting for people who are afraid of heights. Contact with the owners was very easy, Colin was helpful and did everything he could to help and advice. He responded fast when we sent a message on whatsapp and by phone he was very easy to get in contact with. We didn't have the pleasure of meeting him, because he was not in the area, but as I said, it was easy to get in contact. The checking into the cottage was with the sister of Francesca, who didn't speak English, but for us that was no problem at all. We had a great time at the house, the swimming pool was soooo nice and got cleaned twice during our stay. The view and privacy were very much appreciated, the house is the 2nd last on the road, so very few traffic (we think the upper neighbors came once per day to take care of the horse?) and none of the other houses had a view on the pool. In the house was all you need, and more, for example there were binoculars we used to look at the surrounding area and the vultures! Also in a drawer in the living room there are maps and information about the area. We like to thank Colin and Francesca for letting us stay in their house!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Wir verbrachten ein paar sehr erholsame Tage in dem schönen Ferienhaus von Colin und Francesca. Ausstattung, Sauberkeit und Kommunikation waren perfekt. Der Ausblick, die gute Lage zum Wandern und der tolle Pool waren wunderbar. Wir können das Ferienhaus sehr empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Charmantes Haus in schöner ruhiger Lage

Geräumiges Haus, mit schönem Garten und Pool. Wunderschöne Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge. Wander- und Radwege führen direkt am Haus vorbei. Die umliegende Natur ist beeindruckend schön. Das Haus ist etwas abgelegen und die Schrotweg dorthin kann für Leute, die das nicht gewohnt sind, eine Herausforderung sein. Superfreundliche und hilfsbereite Besitzer. Wir waren hier im März, draußen war es 10/12 Grad am Tag und 6/8 Grad am nacht, mit eine Menge regen. In der Küche und im Wohnzimmer gibt es einen Kamin, der mit Brennholz befeuert wird. Andere Räume werden mit Klimaanlagen und Strom beheizt. Um das Haus richtig warm zu bekommen, muss man im Grunde den ganzen Tag drinnen bleiben und die Holzöfen anlassen.Aber Sie gehen tagsüber aus. Also morgens aufheizen und dann noch einmal am Nachmittag. Wir konnten das Haus nicht angenehm warm machen. Die Badewanne konnte nicht mit heißem Wasser gefüllt werden, weil der Boiler eine zu geringe Kapazität hat, um sie vollständig zu füllen. Wir hatten kein Glück mit dem Wetter, dann in ein kaltes Haus zu kommen ist nicht so angenehm ...

Stunning location

We had a wonderful stay at the villa and really made the most of it as the wet weather meant we had to stay in at times. We had beautiful views of the stunning mountain that we both hiked and climbed. We were warm and comfortable with plenty of firewood. The kitchen is super well equipped and it allowed for cooking for many people. The shop was about 15min drive in a near by village. There is enough communal space to spend time together as well as having time in our own rooms. The views and vegetation are magical. Would definitely come back! Thank you to our wonderful hosts for being very communicative and helpful!

Colin und Francesca sind sehr freundliche Vermieter, die jederzeit ansprechbar bzw. erreichbar sind und sich intensiv um das Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste kümmern.Die Finca entspricht in allem den Beschreibungen auf der Webseite. Leider waren wir zur Zeit der großen Jahrhundertflut dort und hatten dadurch Beeinträchtigungen für die niemand etwas konnte.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Wir waren zu zweit für 2 wunderschöne Wochen in diesem Haus. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, ausser etwas mehr Sonnenschein. :-) Das Haus liegt an einem Berg mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht rundum. Es ist völlig ruhig bis auf die Glöckchen der Ziegen. Wir konnten richtig die Seele baumeln lassen, die Kletterer, die Ziegen und die Greifvögel beobachten. Aufgrund der Abgeschiedenheit (was wir auch suchten) ist allerdings ein Auto von Nöten. Colin gab uns viele gute Tipps, um den Urlaub noch schöner zu machen. Danke hierfür nochmals. Wir können das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

A true stand out property

The beauty of the setting and the property itself is stunning. The owners have worked to provide a gorgeous setting with a lot of room and a stand-out decor. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-appointed and the views are simply gorgeous. The owner greeted us personally and made sure that we knew just where we were going and where we could obtain provisions and go out to eat. That was a very nice feature. To be sure, those who are lucky enough to stay at this property should be prepared to enjoy "the joy of self-catering" (quote from Colin) and that is certainly reasonable. As such, travelers should expect to provide some of what otherwise might be included in other places they've stayed (example: laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, extra toilet paper). That was easy for us to manage and did not detract one bit from the pleasure of our stay. I've stayed in many countries at many properties and I would rank this as one of the lovliest. .

Tolles Haus und super Gastgeber

Perfekte Lage für Wanderung auf Caminito del Rey und Umgebung. Sehr sympathische und nette Gastgeber. Das Haus ist wunderschön, vor allem die tollen Terrassen mit einem gigantischem Ausblick.

Beautiful cottage with stunning mountain views!

We stayed at Majada alta for 2 weeks with 1 teenager and a 4y.o and we absolutely LOVED it! Every aspect/window of the cottage has an absolutely stunning view. We were frequently visited by the wild mountain goats whenever they needed a drink from the pool - it was such a wholesome experience. The pool was a lifesaver in the intense Andalucia summer heat! Large size and regularly cleaned and maintained. The cottage was fully equipped with pretty much everything you need. A/C worked really well in the rooms (thank the heavens!) and local village has all the essentials we needed. The roads in the village and leading up to the cottage are not for the faint-hearted especially if you haven't driven on those roads before - so just drive slow at first but you soon get used to it. Caminito del rey is just a 10min drive away and lots of other villages nearby to drive to and appreciate the views of the stunning local landscape.. Colin and Francesca were brilliant hosts, from prompt replies and being on hand for any advice we needed and even took the time to show us around- such lovely people! Definitely a memorable experience for us, and would love to come back again one day. Massive thanks to Colin and Francesca. What a magical place this is!

Amazing Location

We absolutely loved our stay. The home is more rustic but was perfect for the two of us. We loved the location. Do your grocery shopping before arrival and then just unplug. There’s plenty of hiking in the area, but we spent our time reading and playing card games. It turned into one of the more relaxing trips we’ve been on. The pool and view is unparalleled. We saw an ibex and watched the goat herders behind the property. Absolutely idyllic.

Perfect Andalusian getaway

This is the third time we have stayed at this beautiful property. Two times in the summer and once in the winter and all three were wonderful. It is a beautiful large house with a well equipped big kitchen and two large bathrooms and three bedrooms. The swimming pool is great and there are beautiful areas to sit outside on the large property. We especially love the mountain that the house is at the foot of. It is a special place. It is also very close to the Caminito Del Rey walking trail which is the reason why we came here the first time. We hope to come again again. Colin the host is always available and very helpful.

Urlaub in den Bergen

Paradisiac cottage surrounded with nature

Great Stay

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset, sunrises, etc. It is very peaceful, clean and spacious. We wished we could have spent more time here. The pool was very refreshing after some long hot dates of traveling. The host is very helpful and friendly.

Wunderbares Ferienhaus in idyllischer Lage

Das Haus liegt wirklich traumhaft in den Bergen mit einem fantastischem Blick über das Tal. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und ein besonderer Pluspunkt ist die jeweilige Klimaanlage in den Schlafzimmern. Wir haben den Familienurlaub sehr genossen. Die Bergziegen und die Geier/Adler runden das ländliche Flair ab. Zudem hat der Pool eine perfekte Größe und Tiefe. Einen besonderen Dank geht auch an Colin & Francesca, die sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Die Erreichbarkeit und die zügige Reaktionszeit waren toll.
