Er zijn niet veel villa's in of rond Lagos die alle volgende functies combineren. Rustige landelijke locatie voor totale ontspanning, je kon letterlijk een speld horen vallen! Panoramisch uitzicht over de baai van Lagos aan de voorzijde; Monchique heuvels aan de zijkant en het dorp Portelas aan de achterkant. Gemakkelijke toegang tot de prachtige oude binnenstad van Lagos met zijn veelheid aan restaurants en bars - op slechts 1,5 km van het centrum, minder naar de jachthaven, plus een eigen groot zwembad (10 x 5 m) met ruime terrassen, gelegen in een mooie veilige ommuurde tuin met groot grasveld voor balspelen. Zwembadverwarming is beschikbaar voor £ 100pw. Deze villa werkt zeer goed voor drie generaties van een gezin en is ook perfect voor twee gezinnen, dankzij het bijgebouw. Zeer babyvriendelijk, wij bieden alle kit om uw lading te verlichten - kinderbed / speelpen, kinderstoel, digitale babyfoon, sterilisator en flessenwarmer, zelfs een paar speelgoed en een potje! Nieuwe badkamers recent geïnstalleerd en gerenoveerd. Alle slaapkamers hebben plafondventilatoren, net zo effectief als airconditioning in de warmste maanden en veel milieuvriendelijker. Onze villa is geïnspecteerd en bekroond met de toeristenvergunning 4401 / AL.
Wifi. Het nieuwe racecircuit ligt op slechts 1 halte op de snelweg, maar gelukkig buiten gehoorsafstand!
Alle kanalen van BBC, ITV, 4,5 en nog veel meer, via breedband. Er is ook een inhaalvoorziening. Gratis wifi.
Alle slaapkamers op de begane grond, plus 2 badkamers, 1 ensuite en benedenkeuken voor drankjes bij het zwembad en BBQ-servies. Marmeren trappen leiden naar boven zitkamer met eethoek en grote keuken. Ook een. groot terras met eethoek buiten met fantastisch uitzicht.
Buiten is een groot zwembad omgeven door ruime terrassen, een ingebouwde BBQ, een pergola die een schaduwrijk gebied biedt en een groot grasveld geschikt voor balspelen. Aan de achterkant van het huis is een parkeerplaats en een citrusboomgaard, veel citroenen voor uw G & T's!

Perfect spring holiday

Everything was great: The house, the contact with Amy and the local managers and of course the amazing pool. Thanks Amy for your good advice regarding the pool heater: It was worth the money - we swum nearly everyday!! We had a great time and will surely come back.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed the stay very much. The house has everything it promised. The children loved the swimming pool and it was worth the extra expense of warming it. The house is near amenities and Lagos’ vibrant restaurants and shops close by.

Wonderful villa in peaceful location

Wonderful villa in a very peaceful location but still close to Lagos town and marina! Great size pool and lots of outdoor space for you little one to play. The toys and floats were an added bonus! Super clean too and great communication with the owner and manager in Lagos. Would highly recommend to families and would not hesitate to rebook in the future. Thank you for having us!

Excellent villa, peaceful but close enough to town. Lovely pool & garden area. A great kitchen & bbq area. Floats & toy box for the grandkids. A small hot water issue but fixed promptly. My only recommendation would be a stair gate. Highly recommended.

A peaceful villa.

A peaceful and very comfortable villa in an ideal location. Some wonderful views and a lovely garden with almond trees and lemon and orange trees in the orchard. A well maintained and heated pool added to the enjoyment. The property manager is very helpful if needed. With no hesitation we have booked a return visit.

Falfeira villa

Wonderful week at a lovely villa. The villa is really well equipped and the setting is just so peaceful - it was impossible not to relax! We enjoyed the large pool and the bbq. The villa is spacious, very clean with modern bathrooms. Lagos centre is only 5 minutes by car (or taxi).

Portugal 2024 winter escape

We both really enjoyed the beautiful Casa Miradouro at close distance from Lagos. The location is excellent. Supermarkets are at close distance. Numerous both 4 stars and cheap local restaurants are close by. Cleaning team were professionals and each question was answered promptly to full satisfaction. We look forward to come back same period (janu-febru) next year. Thank you all!!

Villa with spacious garden&pool in beautiful setting at the countryside very close to Lagos and sea.

We had a great time together as a family in and around the villa. The garden has a lot of different places to chill and the pool is fantastic! Also great bbq! We loved the view during breakfast at the balcony that’s connected to the living upstairs. The bathrooms are very well renovated. Contact with owner in advance and during stay was very pleasant and helpful , we received a lot of information from her about the villa and tips for activities and restaurants in the Algarve. Also very accurate and kind local hosts. We really hope to return once again!

Wonderful!

We felt very privileged to have stayed at this glorious villa. The 3 directional views from the upstairs dining area are stunning and we enjoyed breakfast and evening meals up there. The pool area is large and has a lovely shaded seating area covered by a bougainvillea which we were delighted to find. There was an area for playing ball games with beautiful hibiscus and other lovely flowers. We were excited to find a huge selection of English books and somes games. including chess. The weather was perfect. Windy and sunny so we were pleased we had brought a jumper for the evening as the wind made the evenings cool. Perfect. Thank you! Oh yes! We saw Dolphins (book for a morning trip if you want calm seas) and took a speed boat to see the Benagil caves from Portimao which was beautiful. The walk along the cliffs near Carvoeiro was stunning and the jump from the rocks into the sea very scary!

Recommend for Family Holiday

The outdoor property of the villa is magnificent! Lawn area for kids’ play, orange and lemon orchard, pool that can be heated for an additional charge and lovely gardens. Inside was spacious for 4 adults and 2 children. The Villa was cool in February but made comfortable with new heaters. We were charged in advance an extra fee for electricity for a party of six using the Villa in the winter months. The downstairs bathrooms have been updated and are spacious and comfortable. The upper level bathroom and quaint kitchen have not yet been updated. Great views overlooking Lagos out to the sea from the upstairs terrace. The Property Manager was always responsive and informative and rectified issues quickly.

Nice villa albeit tired but with wonderful pool and setting.

Really enjoyed our week at the villa in Falfeira. The heated (at extra cost) pool is fabulous and the grounds are immaculate. The views are superb and the neighbourhood very quiet. Exceptionally convenient for access to Lagos. However the villa itself is rather tired (although presents well externally), with an 'old house' aroma not helped by the smell of drains in one of the bathrooms (we did report this to the managing agent but as we did not want tradesmen visiting we chose to put up with it). The kitchens need updating and they stand in contrast to the modernised bathrooms. Beds (only singles) were very comfortable. The windows and doors are ancient and difficult to operate and secure. We ran out of gas but this was rapidly attended to by the managing agent - top marks! There are no flywires. In summary, if you are looking for luxury then look elsewhere. However the villa does provide reasonable, albeit basic accommodation, very much ameliorated by the excellent location and the grounds and the pool. Indeed the property is really all about the superb swimming pool where we spent most of our time, as the weather during our stay in early October was fabulous.

Waarom de eigenaar deze accommodatie gekozen heeft

We first visited the Algarve in 1979 and instantly fell in love with the area and the people. We first stayed in Carvoeira and considered buying there but sadly realised that this charming little fishing village was about to be swamped by development. We then explored further west and after several visits to the area decided that Lagos was sufficiently large and predominantly Portuguese to avoid being swallowed up by developments.
Then began the search for a villa nearby rather than in the town itself which can be noisy with barking dogs and late night bars etc.! We were extremely lucky in that the first villa sent to us was in just the right location, just 1 mile from the very centre of town with fantastic panoramic views of the ocean and mountains and yet in the peaceful countryside.

Wat deze accommodatie uniek maakt

I doubt there are many villas in or around Lagos that combine convenience of access to the many shops, bars and restaurants the town has to offer, with such blissful peace and quiet. We sit gazing at the views for hours both day and night and never tire of returning to Miradouro. The children love the pool,which can be heated in early and late season at extra charge when the water temperature is a mite too chilly except for the most hardy. The villa is very baby friendly as we provide cot, high chair, monitor, bottle warmer, steriliser, even a few toys and a potty!
