Welkom in ons mooie vakantiehuis op het Ile de Ré, Charente Maritime, Frankrijk. La Retraite en Ré is een traditioneel dorpshuis dat is gerenoveerd en gerenoveerd in de afgelopen 2 jaar en geopend is voor de eerste boekingen in 2018. Het is tot een uitzonderlijk hoge standaard afgewerkt en is op een eigentijdse manier prachtig gedecoreerd en ingericht. Het huis ligt in het centrum van de stad, zeer dicht bij de beroemde zwart-witte klokkentoren.

La Retraite en Ré kunnen gezellig zijn voor twee, maar kunnen gemakkelijk slapen tot 8 plus twee baby's. Het huis heeft een lounge met een leren bank en fauteuils rond een moderne houtkachel (houtblokken voorzien voor de winter) en een 58inch 4KUHD Smart-tv (inclusief Netflix) met Engelse Sky TV (inclusief SKY Sports). De keuken is donkergrijs met witte composiet stenen werkbladen. Grote Smeg ingebouwde koelkast / vriezer, Neff ovens, warmhoudlade en inductiekookplaat. Centraal eiland met gootsteen en vaatwasser.

De betonnen interieur eettafel biedt plaats aan maximaal 8 personen.

Boven zijn 3 slaapkamers, een familie badkamer (met bad) en een doucheruimte. Er is nog een slaapkamer (slaapbank) aan de overkant van de binnenplaats (met nog een Engelse satelliet-tv) en nog een badkamer met douche. Er is een wasruimte met een wasmachine en een aparte droogtrommel. Strijkijzer en strijkplank zijn aanwezig voor uw gebruik. In het huis zijn 3 douches, een bad en 4 toiletten.

We kunnen twee kinderbedjes en kinderstoelen leveren.

Er zijn twee eetruimtes buiten. Een op de binnenplaats op de begane grond met een tafel die plaats biedt aan 8 en een op het dakterras. Het dakterras heeft een bartafel met stoelen voor 4 personen. Er zijn 2 ligstoelen, een verlichte bank, een fauteuil en een salontafel op het dakterras.

Alle buitenterreinen hebben aantrekkelijke integrale verlichting. Er is toegang aan de achterkant tot het huis en buiten gebieden, zodat fietsen gemakkelijk veilig kunnen worden opgeslagen in de externe gebieden achter afsluitbare gated toegang.

Superbe!

We were very pleased to spend our Christmas/New year holidays in this absolutely gorgeous house. Situated in the heart of Ars en Ré, high standard, very tasteful set up/equipment, excellent beds/mattresses, modern heating. The outdoor spaces are great, espezially the sundeck. Alan, the owner was super kind, flexible and helpful (thank you so much!) A great place, highly recommended all year!

A fabulous gem of a property in idyllic Ile de Re

This was our first visit to Ile de Re, having wanted to visit for a while. Think we got lucky! The house is finished to an extremely high standard, is very comfortable and cosy, well equipped, featuring all mod cons and with some fun touches too, such as the illumnious sofas. It was also super clean on arrival which counts for so much. There are some lovely outdoor spaces too - a family table area and top sundeck to catch the afternoon/evening rays. The layout works really well and the back gate access for bikes is a great help, especially with children etc. Alan, the owner, is professional and helpful at all times and keen to ensure your stay goes smoothly. Location wise, we thought it was wonderful. We loved Ars-en-Re, which is a beautiful French town with a good mix of enough shops, bars and restaurants to keep everyone entertained or well-fed. It is a great place to base yourself to go off and explore this beautiful island, which with all its lovely beaches and kid-friendly cycle paths makes for a brilliant family holiday.

Nice house in a beautiful village. It’s great being so close to some good amenities. we hired bikes a 2mins walk from the house which again had really helpful staff who spoke good English and were very fair about the pricing (two people left earlier so they reduced the price) We found the people on ill de re to be the friendliest we have ever encountered in France and we have been many times! The house itself is very modern and comfortable the roof top terrace is a particularly lovely place to relax. Alan was always very good at responding quickly with information to any queries. Two people slept in the garden room ( we were 7 adults) this a nice room with en-suite but no fan/window so there was a lot of excess moisture after showering and warm at night with the only option to leave the sliding doors open. As the house is right in the main square you can hear the church bells all night so difficult to leave the window open so I think if there in the main summer months you would need a fan in the room which I didn’t spot anywhere. But these minor problems did not spoil our time in this lovely village and I would definitely stay again.

Ein wunderbares Haus, top Ausstattung, tolle Lage. Alan hat sich bereits vor der Anreise sehr bemüht und ist als Gastgeber nur zu empfehlen. Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Résidence confortable, bien située dans Ars en RE. Commerçants et restos à proximité. Possibilité d’être huit personnes (6 adultes dans la maison principale + 2 personnes dans annexe). Très joli et bien placé

Très belle rénovation pour cette maison de village, située en plein centre d'Ars. Belles prestations, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur avec cette terrasse bien à l'abri et le roof top. Les lits sont très confortables. La zone est très calme, les nuits paisibles. Depuis cette maison tout peut se faire à pied. Accès direct au marché, au port, aux divers commerces ou restaurants. 5 minutes à pied jusqu'au parking gratuit, 5 minutes à pied jusqu'au loueur de vélos. Bons contacts avec le propriétaire, par mail ou whatsapp (en anglais), qui répond rapidement. Petite note à l'attention des futurs locataires français dans cette commune française: si vous êtes "coincés" dedans car il fait mauvais temps pendant plusieurs jours, ce qui fut mon cas, sachez que la télé n'est pas reliée aux programmes français et qu'il n'est pas possible de les avoir, Vous n'aurez que les chaines anglaises par satellite pour occuper le temps...

Vacances scolaires de novembre

Très agréable séjour dans une maison rénovée avec goût. Maison fonctionnelle, bien équipée. Endroit calme. Bien situé à cette époque de l'année. Sanitaire et douche propre. Chambre bien insonorisées. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de l'extérieur en ces temps de tempête. Malgré tout le temps nous a permis de découvrir l'île à vélo, à plusieurs reprises.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison d’Alan et Caroline qui est très bien aménagée et située en plein cœur d’Ars, proche des commerces, tout en étant au calme. Great location - lovely outdoor spaces

The house is just off the main square of Ars, close to the shops for early morning croissants and the beach for an early morning swim. The daily market is a short walk or cycle ride from the back gate. The interior is modern and well designed and the house is very well equipped. The outdoor eating and sitting areas are excellent. Large comfy beds and good bathrooms. Light sleepers may have to keep the windows shut in the front bedroom as two lots of church bells ring throughout the night! We think Ars is the best base from which to explore the island - not far from the best beach at Les Conches and within easy cycle ride of the wonderful all-day shellfish restaurants and St Martin.

Magnifique maison au cœur d’Ars

Maison refaite avec beaucoup de goût, offrant deux lieux de vie séparés (idéal pour accueillir des amis), des équipements ultra modernes et fonctionnels (cuisine, audio, TVs, buanderie séparée avec lave linge et sèche linge) et de beaux espaces extérieurs distincts pour les repas ou autres(lecture/bronzage sur le toit terrasse) ainsi qu’une entrée pour les vélos avec accès rapide au marché d’Ars. Lovely well appointed home great for entertaining

The home was perfectly located in best part of the island. Comfortable and well appointed with every thing you could possibly need for a perfect vacation. The kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable, clean and stylish, and the outdoor spaces were so carefully thought out to ensure the best vacation. We really had a great time and appreciate the very responsive communication for the owners. We highly recommend and would gladly stay here again.
