In het stadscentrum, op 8 minuten lopen van het strand en de badinrichtingen.
In een elegant winkelgebied. Enkele stap verwijderd van het historische centrum, op 15 minuten loopafstand. Voor de metro en vlakbij de bus- en treinstations.
Het is mogelijk om een parkeerplaats te vinden rondom het gebouw, maar er is ook een privéparkeerplaats verbonden aan het gebouw en de prijs is 10 euro per dag (50 per week)

Appartement is in 2016 gerenoveerd, ruim en licht. In een deel van het centrum waar het verkeer niet zo zwaar is. Alle meubels zijn nieuw en de kamers zijn groot. Uitgerust met alle comfort, internet wifi, moderne keuken, magnetron, wasmachine.
Het is op de vierde verdieping in een gebouw met lift.
Houd er rekening mee dat de tweede badkamer oorspronkelijk een wasruimte was, dus toegankelijk via een slaapkamerbalkon.

Goed maar gedateerd

Wel goed. Het appartement was zeer minimaal ingericht met hele oude meubels. Dat was een beetje jammer. Wel goede bedden. Op één slaapkamer was geen airco. Dat was afzien. En was wel een verrijdbare ven. Maar dat was niet voldoende

Clean and big appartment on a very good location

The appartment is located near restaurants, supermarket and metro, the walk to the city center is about 15 minutes and a beautifull sandy beach is 10 minutes by car. Very nice welcome by Guiseppe, who speeks good English. Arriverderci e Grazie!

Decent Stay

We had a decent stay in this apartment. It's spacious and well-equipped with a nice view from the balcony. Having a washing machine in the apartment was an added bonus. It's close to the Metro, several bus stops, and a train station which made getting around the city (and even visiting other cities for the day) very easy. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating, even offering the option for early check-in. He also gave us recommendations for places to eat and shop in the neighborhood as well as advice on how to reach the place in the most efficient and cost-effective way. However, the apartment itself is older and not well-maintained. There was a sewage smell in the bathrooms resulting from the recent rains. There were also insects in the kitchen. We stayed in January and only two of the rooms have heating. It was not comfortable to spend time in the living room because it was too cold. Because it is on a main thoroughfare, it was also loud with car and motorcycle noise all night. There was construction going on in the building, too. It started first thing each morning and continued all-day with hammering, sawing, and other related noise. There's not a lot happening in the neighborhood at night, so if you are looking for more nightlife maybe choose a place closer to the city center.

Like being at home

Very large apartment and all the comforts of home. Close to metro and grocery stores. The big outdoor market is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. We did walk to and from the historical area, but better to take the metro. We are seniors in our mid seventies. Our 50 year old son joined us. We did a tour to Mount Etna, the hike on the mountain was wonderful. We also cooked most meals at home, the kitchen was great.

MT. ETNA

For our plan to visit the Mt. Etna area Catania was the ideal starting point. Our apartment was perfect for our needs, close to airport, train, and bus. It was spacious, well equipped, and our co-host was so helpful. Thank you Giuseppe!

Catania getaway

Giuseppe was extremely helpful and accommodating. The apartment is in a great location. It’s very well equipped. It has been updated but maintains its original charm. We loved it. Stayed for 5 nights. One drawback is, it is noisy at night. For the price you can’t beat it.

Good value

The apartment is very clean and spacious. Well equipped kitchen. Washing machine works great. Bathroom is dated and the shower is small. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. AC works well. Location is good. Many restaurants in 5-10 minutes by foot. Trains and bus stations are about 15 minutes by foot. Some street noise at night. But, a pretty good value overall.

Typical Italian Apartment

Can’t say enough about Giuseppe and his wife. They were very helpful and always available to answer any questions we had. The apartment was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. We had a car and found a parking space in the street every day. A good spot to tour from. MT Etna, Syracuse, Taormina were all about an hour away and easy to visit. Even spent a day at the beach which was 15 minutes away.

Beautiful stay

Logement très agréable et confortable, très propre, bien équipé, une très bonne communication avec l'hébergeur. Idéalement situé, très belle vue sur la mer. Petit point à améliorer: la douche qui n’est pas toujours facile à régler, et peut être du double vitrage au niveau des vitres car on entend beaucoup les bruits de la ville. Parfait pour une semaine pour découvrir Catane et ses alentours, avec des enfants.

Tutto perfetto!

La casa era pulitissima e molto grande, la posizione è ottima e tutto sommato tranquilla nonostante sia in zona centrale. Molti supermercati e negozi di alimentari vicini, in 10 minuti a piedi si arriva alla Stazione Centrale.

Super Lage, viel Platz!

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war sehr schön. Die Lage ist super! Alles ist so wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Vorallem morgens das frühstücken auf einer der drei Balkone war traumhaft. Das einzige Manko ist, das es nachts sehr laut ist, da die Unterkunft in direkter Umgebung einer Hauptstraße ist. Aber das kann man mit Ohrstöpsel beheben! Besonders hervorzuheben ist der nette und unkomplizierte Kontakt zu Guiseppe. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Haben uns wohl gefühlt

Es ist immer die Frage, was man erwartet. Wir wollten Platz, Nähe zum Bahnhof, fußläufig zur Innenstadt untergebracht sein. Diese Ansprüche waren aller erfüllt. Wir hatten super Kontakt zum Vermieter, mussten auf Grund von Familienproblemen später anreisen, alles kein Problem. Hatten einen entspannten Aufenthalt.

My Italy 70th Birthday Celebration

We enjoyed the comfortable 3 bedroom apartment. It was well located to visiting sites on the eastern side of Sicily. We used it as a hub and hosted a few family dinners. Private parking around the corner was the best place for us to park our rental. We also enjoyed the three balconies. Deffinitely a urban vibe but just right for our needs.

Un très bon sejour

'Vous avons passé un très bon séjour. Nous avons tout fait en transport en commun. L'appartement est à 12 min de la gare centrale. On y trouve beaucoup de bus aussi. Le logement est proche des commerces. Il faut compter 30min à pied pour aller à la place du Duomo et à la gare de bus qui permet d'aller à la plage de sable blanc (il est possible de marcher moins mais il faut prévoir un changement de bus). Il y a sinon à 15 min à pied un accès à la mer via des pontons sur des plages de sable noir et rochers. Nous avons passé 10 très bonnes journées avec une excursion à l'Etna (attention un seul bus aller retour par jour), à Taormina (aller en bus retour en train sans souci) et Aci Trezza où vous aurez la possibilité de faire du pédalo et du kayak (aller retour en bus sans souci). L'accueil était très sympathique par les gérants et ils sont vraiment au petit soin au moindre souci.

Schöne Wohnung und Danke Giuseppe

Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Von den beiden Balkonen zur Vorderseite hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf das Mittelmeer. Supermarkt und viele Restaurants sind in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Vielen Dank nochmal an Giuseppe für die perfekten Transfers sowie die ausführlichen Informationen zu Catania! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
