Il Battistero is a unique gem of a boutique hotel steps from the Siena cathedral. Steeped in historic importance as a former papal residence and sitting atop ancient subterranean aqueducts, I’ve not experienced anything like it before. Truly special.

Rita and Andrei were going above and beyond to help us get to most out of the Palio. Restaurant reservations, helpful insight and being sure we would not miss anything from our time in Siena were part of their efforts. Splendid location and amenities. The breakfast is fabulous !

Stunning Siena Hotel

I wish we had more time to spend at this beautiful hotel and in Siena as both are gorgeous! We will definitely return when we have more time. The wine cellar looks amazing. Be prepared to walk up hills and maneuver the many stairs of the hotel with your luggage.

Wonderful location!!! Everything within walking distance. Friendly staff, clean modern room. Shower needs repairing. Will definitely return to stay here. If you are driving to the hotel, It’s a ZTL zone so contact the hotel to make arrangements for your car to be garaged. Don’t need a car here. It is in the best location!!!

The service at this hotel was impeccable. We were running late for our wine tasting but they were still SO accommodating! The rooms were beautiful and the view from the hotel are amazing. It was super accessible to everything. Also, the parking options were great - highly recommend. They're so responsive through texting and it was great to have this level of service. Highly rec!

The staff was exceptionally warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations for local dining and sightseeing. Siena unique medieval atmosphere

First time in Siena. Premium location provides ready access to all major sites. Siena is a lovely city with well preserved monuments and arguably the best town square in Italy. Gelato store one block away, Michellin recommended Taverna Giuseppe 10 minutes away and Bagoga Tavern 5 minutes away. Gisella, the concierge is friendly, helpful and diligent.

What a wonderful stay we had at Il Battistero!! The staff were so friendly and helpful with any questions or requests as well as with directions and recommendations. The property was so charming and lovely - very old world and quaint. The best part was the location, however, literally steps from the Duomo and right in the heart of Siena! What a fabulous stay! Highly recommend!
