Coming of age on a not so good way

Whilst the staff were very professional and helpful this 20somethingbhoyel is beginning to show its wear and tear in every aspect it’s a shame because the space and the offerings are very appropriate for a gambling habit.

We booked the room with kitchen and it looked good that unfortunately if you want to get all kitchen stuff you need to ordered through the reception. In my opinion the stuff should be there already without the request. At the end we received only very small amount of the stuff what we needed. Apart then that everything was good.

Everything was great, but watch out for sneaky bell desk staff charging for bag drop after you check out. It's free while you're a guest, but they're using a technicality by asking you to check out first so that they can charge you. Very sneaky and nothing to do with "union rules" as they claim.

I loved the amenities, such as the cinema, restaurants, casino and pool. The hotel was a little far away from the strip and a hotel shuttle would really help and save a lot of money on taxis.

Overall very nice. A few issues though, balcony was locked due to security concerns and also the glass balcony panels were filthy. The hotel playlist needs updating and expanding as you hear the same tunes over and over again.

Palms place

Only stayed for one night after flying in from the UK. There is no airport shuttle and it is some way from the strip. However, the staff were all very friendly, the rooms very large with impressive bathrooms and the breakfast buffet good and inexpensive.

Large, modern and very comfortable suite, amazing views, great amenities. A little odd to have to ask for crockery,cutlery and cooking utensils to actually be able to make use of the kitchenette though. The staff were all friendly and helpful, particularly the Palms Resort shuttle bus drivers, but would have liked the shuttle bus service to run a little longer, say til maybe 10pm instead of 8pm. Only real negative was not being allowed to take a small, half empty bottle of water to the pool area, despite explaining it was so I could take my medication (I have Parkinson’s Disease), and even showing them the meds!

Renovation, confusion, rudeness

We booked Palms place as we wanted a good value hotel close to the strip but with access to a lively hotel nearby. We felt the combo of the Palms and Palms Place would work well. Room- Comfortable, great bed, clean. Some minor issues with remote for TV and total lack of facilities in the kitchen (no cutlery, plates etc but available on request seemingly). Hotel amenities- For Palms place was pretty much as advertised. The pool was okay however the management was lacking. It was difficult to know how to order food and the staff morale seemed low which led to rudeness to customers (I won't go into specific details on incidents here as it was resolved at the time, however it wasn't plain that it was an issue with structure/management rather than just bad staff. They were nice once they could see you understood their position but we shouldn't need to do this as guests) Staff- Cleanjng staff were fantastic. Some of the front of house staff were good too but in general we were treated with sarcasm, outright rudeness and dismissal. The major issue is that the Palms has been sold and shortly before our stay a lot of the facilities closed. No pool, no buffet and the casino was like a graveyard. We tried to ask what was going on and was first told. I don't know the pool is closed, someone else simply shrugged and we were eventually informed that these had closed for renovation. Had we been informed about this in advance we would have selected a different hotel.

Fab room, noisy air conditioning

Stayed one night at palms place on 38th floor in a corner suite. Amazing room with great facilities, however A/C unit in bedroom and too noisy to have on during the night. No pots and pans or utensils in the kitchen which was odd....we didn't need them, but if someone booked this suite intending to use the kitchen they would have fun trying to cook anything! Immaculate room with lots of luxuries. very spacious.

Good value if you don't mind staying off strip

Was just one night in vegas. room was big and spacious, and very good value for the price that i paid. Room looked cool and had a kitchen and a good bathroom. I also found the seating area very comfortable. Only downsides were you couldn't get out the balcony and they had purposely remove the hot water tap from the bath tub.

We had a wonderful room with an excellent view over Las Vegas. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The Hotel room was so nice that we sometimes prefered to stay in instead to go out and visiting the City.
