Great location

Great position, room was spacious but did lack tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary water which was the only disappointment. Service was good, reception organised early morning taxi and breakfast pack for the trip to the airport. Breakfast was good - the booking arrangements were little confusing - reception said need to book breakfast because hotel is full, booking app said booking is required because of COVID but when you arrive there are no restrictions and the Resturant was empty - didn’t make any sense, but was not significant enough to detract from the experience.

The position is very good and the rooms are large. There is no air conditioning, no heating, no facilities offered in the room at all except a fridge, no room service. You have to beg to be allowed to get a kettle for a cup of tea in your room. All they say is no nothing is working. They have a commission deal going with the Morano Glass tour offered as free. Go on the tour but bargain down 50% or below if you are going to buy anything-best just enjoy the glass blowing show.

Great hotel excellent location

Great hotel 1 bridge from SAN Marcos square - suites spacious and very clean. Most staff friendly and continental breakfast great (more than just toast and coffee)

Location is the best in Venice (for the price)

Wow! What an amazing location. Service was impeccable and nicely appointed rooms. Getting up at dawn and seeing the square before anyone else was awake was a once in a lifetime special treat... Highly recommend it!

Good position ... old furniture

Difficult hotel to review because it is Venice and standards are different. Firstly the good ... staff was great, location excellent near St marks square, breakfast good, and the suite had a big extra room that was handy. Everything was clean. Now the bad ... furniture was old and dated. The bed was two old singles bolted together, slightly different heights and different hardnesses. This is Venice, not sure I could do any better, but think I would try.

Close to Piazza San Marco only plus

Queen bed was 2 very narrow single beds, very low, pushed together which of course separated when used! Terrible given 5 nights booked and over $3600 paid in advance!! Only one staff member was friendly, any request (extra pillows, access to English language stations on small tv) was met with frowns and comment "will discuss with my colleague". Only persisted due to proximity to SM during Carnevale. Will never return nor recommend.

Location terrific, hotel OK!

If returning to Venice, I would try somewhere else. Found the complex a confusing sprawl of suites over a number of sites. Throughout Italy I have found the Italians to be wonderful hosts. Unfortunately, didn't find this place to be welcoming or overly helpful. However, location terrific. So if location is all you are after then this is the hotel.

Great place to stay for a few days in Venice.

Hotel was located 1 street away from San Marco which was perfect for us with 2 kids. Breakfast was included which made the mornings easy and the food was acceptable. Hardest part and I believe this is common for any hotel in Venice was actually finding it but with a few wrong turns we eventually managed to find it from the hotel instructions.

Location is absolutely fantastic! Lovely hotel, friendly staff. We are a family of 5 and we could fit into the one suite - I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. If a thing needs an improvement it would be to increase the choices for breakfast in the restaurant, as they were somewhat limiting.

Excellent position if you want to be right there in the throng of it all. The hotel is in 2 sections - we had initial worries getting bags taken over to the 2nd section because the reception wanted to take us via a very convoluted way through the buildings- upstairs and down round stairs - the porters complained re route - I don't blame them - large bags- there concerns were dismissed - I'm not sure the reasoning behind this as if we were to walk outside it was all level ground to reach the side where the ' apartments ' are. Now The kitchen stove etc in the 'apartment' cannot be used as it may trip the fire alarm - so buyer beware! There is a kettle but nothing else much to encourage its use.

Good Hotel.Great location.

Friendly helpful staff, excellent large suites and one minute from St Mark's Square. The negatives are: wi-fi only in one area of hotel; mediocre breakfast; two different lifts and two sets of stairs necessary to get to and from room. The good far outweighed the bad and we would stay there again.

Love this Hotel

What a surprise to find such spacious rooms right in the heart of Venice. We utilised the sofa in the lounge as a bed which was very comfy and had 2 balconies which overlooked the small canal behind Piazza San Marco. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was only available in breakfast room, portable wifi available from reception at a cost. Would definitely recommend and stay again on return visit.

Incredible location

Compared to the mainland hotels, this hotel isn't cheap, but the location is amazing being metres from St Marks square, and just avoiding the hustle of the day trippers this made it well worth it for us. It also meant we could have a siesta in the middle of the day, and with young kids and the 30deg July days this was priceless. The apartment was huge, with 2 big double rooms and a kitchenette, though it would have been useful had they provided a few basic cooking utensils! Our safe wasn't working which was a bit annoying. We complained a couple of times then gave up without any resolution. Otherwise, everything was great.

San Marco Palace - Great Location !!!

Hotel is in a great location, rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. Hotel staff was excellent with the exception the sole front desk receptionist that was on duty on my morning of check out. He was very rude and made it quite obvious that he did not want to be there. A shame because he brought my overall rating down from 5 to 4

A hotel, small but cosy.

Room was not ready until about 2.30, where as check in time is 2.00pm breakfast was reasonable, and later staff was more courteous. They arranged free transport to a glass factory. Location is very close to the main attractions, including St Mark Square, a one minute walk.

Venetian splendour

This is quite the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The accommodation was "deluxe" but it was a suite ,with a large bedroom ,even larger sitting room , kitchenette, and a beautifully appointed bathroom. Not only did eveything function welll ,the furniture -antique wooden tables , mirrors and drapes really topped the accommodation off with a very high standard of comfort. Thank you Expedia!

One night in Venice

Great location,close to St Marks Square.Well looked after by staff.I believe rooms can vary in size,we had a suite which was great.Nice place to stay.
