I stayed here from 3rd-10th April. The property looks nothing like it does on the photos - the room looked like my little sister built it. On the second night I had an allergic reaction to whatever they wash the bedding with - I travel A LOT and this has never happened. I woke up with puffy eyes and a swollen face, when i told the stuff, they were friendly but unhelpful. i’ve requested a refund but not heard back. i refuse to pay for a hotel i didn’t even stay at due to the allergy. i would not advise anyone to stay here. the location is ok tho, near the crypto arena so we could watch the lakers game but there are other better hotel options in downtown.

Being in DTLA can be a little tricky but I did feel safe at this hotel and I did feel that they take security seriously which is important when you are traveling alone . I loved the architecture of the interior and the room was very quiet . This is a cash free property which I was not prepared for and will be next time for tips etc . I will definitely return next time in town .

Everything that made the ace cool is gone

This is now an average hotel with poor service, everything is automatic, one guy at the reception, security guy and a barista til noon. Everybody looks tired of working there, don't expect a smile or hello when you walk in...The only nice people are the crew of cleaning ladies that were super nice ! Everything you ask for you will be sent to their "virtual front desk", you have to schedule housekeeping or they will not come, there is no breakfast served or restaurant inside, a coffee shop open til noon with few dry pastries. To finish i got chased out of my room by security despite willing to pay for a late check out which was the cherry on top! I Will never stay there again.

Loved the renovation to the room. It was a very unique open style setting. The toilet was in closed separately, but shower was open to the room. It had an 60s feel with modern utilities. The hotel itself was safe and felt that way. Outside of the hotel was dirty due to homeless people. They didn’t bother anyone, just a small inconvenience. Was definitely worth what I paid.
