We rented a three bedroom condo. To be fair, they upgraded us to a three bedroom townhouse, so that has probably influenced us, but everything was excellent. The property was immaculate, spacious, and had clearly been recently refurbished, so everything was modern and stylish. We made good use of the free shuttle service and the pool and hot tub. This property is very central, so you're right in the middle of things and just across the street from the BreckConnect gondola. The only negative I could point out is the email said check-in was from 9 am to 11 pm but in fact the rooms aren't ready until along around 4 pm (more like a standard hotel). But we did get to check in early; we just didn't get into our townhouse until later. So we went for lunch nearby and they phoned us when the townhouse was ready. I would highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in Breckenridge.

The size, quality and ameneties in the suite were very good. The shuttle bus service was fast and efficient. The lodge would benefit from some central amenities, such as a bar or restaurant/cafe.

Wonderful 3 nights staying here. Breckenridge has so much to do in the summer and is stunning. Mountain thunder lodge is perfectly situated for the town and the mountains.

Not as good as it used to be

Still a great place to stay but unfortunately it’s starting to look a little tired. Also they have cut back on the servicing of rooms unless you pay extra. And toward the end of the season it seems the shuttle service etc gets cut back although you pay the same ‘resort fee’

Close to Gondola & town

Have stayed here several times now - a great facility with really friendly & efficient staff. Easy walk to town (though free shuttle also available!) Condos are well equipped and nice condition with ski lockers & fitness centre available too. Only downside is electric heating combined with mountain air makes it very dry - even with humidifier on. Not a problem for most of our party but I found it stuffy. Small criticism & would not hesitate to stay their again soon!

Great 2 bed lodge close to the mountains.

This condo in Mountain Thunder Lodge was great. Very spacious, very high spec and perfect for a family. Amenities at the Lodge complex were ideal. Pool, hot tubs, gym as well as practical things like a laundry room. Would love to come back in the winter.

Spacious accomodation short walk from Breckenridge

Excellent residence would go back anytime. Downsides if these are important to you: No on site restaurant/s. No cookies or hot drinks in the afternoon like many other places do. Shuttle needed to get to lifts or from après bars but easy run back. Minor points but just mentioning, otherwise perfect.

First Class Stay

Overall a great stay. All staff from front desk to housekeeping were were first class. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpfull. We were there for the skiing and with the Gondola being less than a five minute walk and the last run of the day finishing at the rear of the hotel, thesituation could not have been better.

The Condos were hard to find the late eve eg 11pm

However when we eventually got into them they were excellent accommodation with ski in facilities available. We did not make use of swimming gym or hot tub facilities although they looked good

Superb facilities and outstanding views

Lovely large rooms with outstanding views. Pool and hot tub clean and easily accessed. Staff very helpful and pleasant .skis already laid lut for you to pick up in the morning - no struggle with ski lockers

Fantastic place to stay in Breck!

Thunder Mountain Lodge is a fantastic place to stay in Breckenridge. The location is very good, close to the Gondola and with ski in capability. The Lodge itself is in very good condition with lovely spacious rooms tht are fully equiped. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I liked this place a lot, I felt welcome and it was a confortable and relaxing stay. The hotel shuttle service was brillian, we used it quite a lot and it will take or pick you up to and from anywhere in Breck. I would definately recommend this place and I;m already thinking about my return trip!!

Brilliant hotel, will return

We really enjoyed using Mountain Thunder as our base for boarding in Breceknridge. If we return to Breck we will definitely go there again. It would be nice if it had a bar for après ski but it's so close to the local markets that it's not a problem to buy your own. The rooms are extremely well kept although the pillows can be soft.

Fantastic place

Booked via Expedia on recommendation from Tripadvisor. Property in 3 minutes from hotel to Gondola or a courtesy shuttle bus run. 4 O'clock ski run passes by door so you can ski back at the end of the day. We were in Breckenridge to celebrate our wedding anniversary and husband's 40th birthday. Staff went out of their way before and during our visit to ensure that we had the best experieince - even sourced a birthday cake which was placed in our room while we were out to dinner. Restaurant reservations were made for us for both special nights after a request by email before we arrived. Rooms (booked a one bed condo) excellent, facilities great, location - couldn't have been better for us, staff excellent. Made use of the comp shuttle. Just remember that you will have a resort fee to pay when you check out - we knew this but some may not have read the booking conditions. Overall, would go back in a heartbeat.

This was a great place to stay for skiing. A short walk got the free gondola, you can ski right to the back door, and the rooms were MUCH larger than we expected. We were also a block away from Main Street which had great shops, restaurants, and bars. Highly recommend.
