Great apartment stay in Insadong area

We stayed on the 5th floor, so it can be a little nosy from the street but it all gets quiet when it is time to sleep. We were given a 3 bedroom apartment even though I booked 2, so it was super spacious. We used the washing machine and dryer, cooked meals using the kitchen. I was able to request an iron from reception. There is a safe in the room. The showers worked perfectly. It is super convenient to shops and there is a couple of shopping streets (insadong and ikseondong) nearby. The coffee at Alto bar coffee opposite the apartment is very good. There is a mini 7-Eleven also across the street. Residents can use the pool, sauna and gym. We ate at this great restaurant only 6mins walk away called Insadong Manuel Bossam (they specialise in pork wrap and chive pancake). Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great room, prefect location

Amazing room, great for a long stay with a fully functional kitchen, as well as a washing machine (which came in handy for the hot summer weather). It was in a great location near the tourist sites like the royal palaces as well as next to a really good metro link. Would highly recommend.

Inconsiderate and inefficient

I arrived at the hotel all wet due to an unexpected squall. The security guard simply told me to go outside and wrap the umbrella with a plastic cover before being allowed in, and when I looked at him shocked he shouted the instruction. None of the three staff, who drove me out a couple of hours ago as I arrived before the official check in of 4pm showed sympathy but scowled at me for being wet. The hotel inform of the new policy that they cannot check in a group of over 3, only after our group has arrived. No one took the initiative to ease our discomfort, and overall the staff was unfriendly and rude.

Great stay, lovely helpful staff.

This was a lovely hotel/apartment suites right in the heart of Insadong, which is a lovely area to walk around at night with great shopping and just 15 minutes walk to the main palace. The staff were so helpful, happy to book taxis for you and give information, they even went with me to the cashpoint over the road as I couldnt underrstand the Korean screen. They all spoke excellent English. We arrived at 9am, and couldnt get into our room until 3pm, which we knew was check in time, but were hoping to get in earlier as we were exhausted from travelling, but we were able to use the spa and pool which were great. I left my credit card in the safe by accident and they kept it for me until i was able to get back to retrieve it. Would definitely book in and stay here again. I marked 4 for cleanliness as the cooker was a little greasy, but the rest of the apartment was spotless.

Our stay as a family was absolutely amazing. The suite was really spacious and spotlessly clean. It had everything that we needed including a washing machine, cutlery and crockery. The front desk staff were polite and they let us check in early.

RUDE MANAGER

THE HOTEL WAS GOOD AS USUAL BUT THE MANAGER (THAT'S WHAT HE TOLD US) WAS REALLY SNOOTY AND UNHELPFUL, QUITE UNUSUAL SINCE WE'VE BEEN STAYING IN THIS HOTEL OVER SEVERAL YEARS, MINIMUM TWICE/YEAR ABOUT A WEEK EACH TIME. IT HAPPENED WHEN WE CHECKED IN SO THROUGH OUT THE STAYING, I WAS TRYING TO AVOID THE MANAGER WHICH WAS NOT PLEASANT... THIS IS THE PRIME EXAMPLE OF HOW IMPORTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS.
