This beautiful single-family split-level house is located in Scarborough Pine Point area on the Old Orchard Beach line. Right on Pine Point Beach which is a long sandy beach on Saco Bay that extends four miles from the jetty at Pine Point to Old Orchard Beach. There is plenty of room to relax on the beach, swim, play catch, or take a walk with loved ones. Beautiful views of Saco Bay, sailboats, lighthouses, and lots more.

This beautiful home has an open concept ground level kitchen and Livingroom area with bay windows overlooking the ocean. It is equipped with 2 full sized refrigerators, double oven and a stove top, formal dining room table that sits up to 8 also with an additional bar area that sits up to 4 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils you may need. Livingroom has a 50+ inch cable TV and the 2nd living room area is located on the main level.

There are 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms and 2 of the bathrooms are located on the main level and one bedroom and 1 bathroom on the lower level which you will also find a washer and dryer for your use. The Master Bedroom has one Queen bed and a full bathroom and across from the Master Bedroom there is 2 additional rooms with 2 Full sized beds in each room. Across from those two rooms there the 4th room with another Queen-sized bed overlooking the ocean! The fifth bedroom located downstairs has a Queen-sized bed in the room.

Lastly, enjoy your time and relax on the 3-season porch and a deck overseeing the ocean . There are also 2 barbeques for your use. This home is Private from the grassed yard adjoining the beach. Major shopping at the Maine Mall only several miles away, Portland's acclaimed 'Old Port area', Funtown amusement park, restaurants, and the great weather!! There is parking up to 5 vehicles.

Amazing home and location!

We were shocked and pleasantly surprised by the amazing renovations the house has had. It looks nothing like the pictures in the listing. The kitchen is gorgeous and spacious. The downstairs area is great for hanging out. The view is beyond words and with the short walk to the beach you can not beat this house and location. We did have some difficulty around communication. We were told the house would be left open when we got there and it was. However, we asked more than once about keys for the property with no answer so we had to leave the home unlocked when we were not there. There is also a tenant upstairs-who is very quiet-but we did not know it was a shared home as this is not in the listing. Overall, our stay was absolutely amazing-just some small details to let renters know about.

We were pleasantly surprised that the house was fully renovated when we arrived (compared to what was listed) they have made some beautiful upgrades and the location is AMAZING!

July stay—we will not return

House was not ready when we arrived—no shower curtains, garbage cans in bathroom, dresser in main bedroom, hangers, and was missing practically ALL kitchen supplies. There were no screens in many of the windows and fans didn’t work due to remotes without batteries The first three days were spent communicating with owner about what we needed (coffee pot, knives, plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc) eventually we got most of supplies we needed but there was never an apology or sorry for the inconvenience. Toilet was clogged twice due to construction debris and no plunger. Water backed up in showers. Plumber came twice. Fire alarm went off twice for no reason. The house is upgraded and beautiful location but the owner made our experience very unpleasant. Never offered apology or money back—when asked his reply was “motion denied” and “lol” and that we were difficult. THE HOUSE WAS NOT READY FOR TENANTS. SO SORRY THAT WE ASKED FOR SHOWER CURTAINS AND COFFEE POT AND SILVERWARE AND FURNITURE AND WORKING APPLIANCES.

Great stay

Had an amazing stay. Size, Cleanliness, and location were all a 10. Beach views and beach access were also amazing. Had one minor maintenance issue that was addressed quickly and professionally. Would definitely stay again.

Excellente localisation

C'est vraiment dommage de posséder une résidence dont la localisation est vraiment extraordinaire et de laisser la maison se détériorer de la sorte. La maison est dans un état de délabrement difficile à décrire. Le manque d'entretien est déplorable et les équipements sont soit absents soit en mauvais état. Impossible de cuisiner car il n'y a pas de couverts, manque de verres, manques de tasses, la cafetière ne fonctionne pas et il n'y a aucun intérêt à cuisiner dans un sous-sol. Des toiles d'araignées immenses pendent du plafond. Une barre à serviettes arrachée dans la salle de bain principale, des stores tout croche dans les fenêtres. Une salle de lavage qui ressemble à un taudis. Des unités d'air climatisé qui n'ont jamais été nettoyées et qui sont remplies de mousse et de cochonneries. Des plafonds de salle de toilettes remplis de champignons. Un spa qui ne fonctionne pas. Deux chaises de plages pour un groupe de 13 personnes et un dessous de bacon rempli de toute sorte d'équipements inutilisés, chaise avec une patte manquante, reste de jeux pour enfants inutilisables, etc. Je pourrais continuer encore longtemps mais je sais que c'est inutile. En fait, je ne comprends pas que vous acceptiez de louer une résidence dans cet état. Cela remet définitivement mon intérêt à louer une résidence chez Vrbo pour l'an prochain.

Great location, lots of space

Location directly on a beautiful stretch of beach with views from most rooms. Lots of room for a big group. Some updates would be nice but overall great stay.

Superb location BUT

On the positive side, you cannot beat the location just by the beach. On the other side, this property is poorly maintained. The worse is the broken railing on the balcony on the second floor than we discovered while leaning on it, one toilet handle was broken and kept falling, faucet difficult to turn on, the spas was not working, house construction material or broken objects were left lying on the ground around the house, only five forks for the 8 of us, only 7 chairs for the dinning table, we repaired the broken stairs to the beach, obvious mold/mushroom in the basement room (not healthy), nothing to clean the dishes or the kitchen by hand just paper towel… We tried to get in touch without success by leaving a message to the manager and calling the number left on a board in the cottage kept ringing without answering.

Excellent location

Excellent location. Plenty of space. Overall the home was pretty good. Could use some more silverware, screens should be replaced. Dehumidifier would greatly help the dampness in the lower level. Beach chairs would have been nice to have available.

Pine Point

The location of this property is a 5 star. The beach is close and is very beautiful. The house is old and needs a lot of TLC. The house was very dirty when we arrived. The property manager was great. He did his best to help us and had a house keeper come back to do some cleaning, but I still spent most of the first day cleaning the house. It was in rough shape. The carpets are filthy, shades and chairs are broken. We did end up enjoying our stay as our whole family was there, but would never rent this property again. It’s a shame that this property is in the shape it is in because the location is perfect.

Great for family and beach access

The two best things about this property is the size (holds a lot of people) and the location (right on the beach). Noticed the floors were a little dusty, but the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. I would recommend.

You get what you pay for…

You can’t beat the location, but the property itself was very rough. Definitely some water intrusion issues on the lower level resulting in a very noticeable mildew smell (also found mold in each of the air conditioners, most clogged with dust/debris & some without filters at all). Witnessed several mice running around the kitchen at various points (this can be expected in an older home, but the manager did not even respond when we messaged them requesting that traps be dropped off). Some living room furniture appeared to be newer, but all of the exterior & bedroom furniture/grill/hot tub are very rough and barely usable. It was a shame to see a property with so much potential get squandered by poor management.

vacation in August

The house was big enough to accommodate all of us. The location on the beach was good..except..for the first 4 days, we had to walk down the beach about 1/4 of a mile because there was Red Algae in the water. We were told that this happens every August. So I would suggest to inquire about this before booking in August.

Don’t stay here!

Check in was at 4, we couldn’t enter until almost 4:45 because people were still there cleaning. Evidently the previous people really trashed the place??once we got in the house it was still filthy. We contacted the owner and he did agree to refund me the money if we left immediately. What do you do with 10 people , coming from all different areas on a holiday?? So we decided to stay. Another cleaning crew came the next day and did the best they could. The following day someone came to clean the carpets. So I have to give the owner little credit. Every time we called with an issue he sent someone over to try to fix. However none of this should have happened. For That kind of money that was charged and especially because we are in the middle of a pandemic this was totally unacceptable. Location is beautiful but that was it. So many problems. The grill was not usable. Absolutely disgusting. Many missing light bulbs,smoke alarms missing,many broken chairs,broken box spring,mold everywhere,hot tub broken, stair elevator broken, fire place blocked off,clothes dryer broken,no shower head in master bath,no glassware, very minimal pots, pans. Broken glass outside. Pool table way out of level. Again a lot of these issues were fixed by owner but really unacceptable

Pine Point House on the Beach

The location of this house can't be beat...just walk out the back door, down the path, and you are on the beach. Easy to go back and forth for the bathroom, snacks, etc. The house had plenty of room for our large family to spread out and not feel crowded. I'm not usually a big complainer, but the two main problems we encountered were listings in the amenities that we based our stay on that weren't available. The hot tub listed was out of order. But more importantly, the 'elevator' listed, which was one of those chairs that go up the stairs, was also broke. The chair lift was one of the main attractions in our decision to rent this house in that it would be very handy for my elderly Mother to make it up the stairs. So we thought the amount of money to rent this house was worth it since it had this lift and a hot tub. We probably would not have stayed here if we had known that we were paying for these things and they weren't even working! And I'm guessing most people would have complained to get a reduced rental fee after basing their decision to stay there on having a lift available and finding out it was broke.

Great spot for a girls' weekend!

A dozen of us rented this place for my sister's 40th birthday weekend, and we had a wonderful time. The house is laid out beautifully, with a bathroom, nice big livingroom, the hot tub, and most of the bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs is a large open layout with the pool table, another living room, the kitchen, dining area, and bathroom with another bedroom off of it. The kitchen was small but well supplied, and we made good use of the long bar off of the kitchen! We were able to spread out throughout the house, with ample room for relaxing, playing games, playing pool, or just sitting and chatting. We had plenty of space to enjoy several different games and puzzles at the same time. The only disappointment was that the motor in the hot tub was not working, so we were not able to use it. The only thing that kept us from giving the property a 5 star rating is that the cleaning was not very thorough. We were the first guests staying at the property after the winter, so I know that the first clean was a big job, but there were quite a few things that were missed. That said, the management was very attentive to any requests that we had, and even let us check in early and check out late because it was still the off season. The surrounding area is very beautiful - you are on the beach, and there are small stores within walking distance. I think it would be a great place to stay in the summer - it was still on the cold side when we were there, so we staying inside most of the time. I would definitely stay at this property again. It would be perfect for a family gathering or a girls' weekend. Thanks to the stair lift that goes upstairs and down, my grandmother was even able to join us for a few hours.
