La Casa Toscana is a beautifully restored 18th century Tuscan country house located on ‘The Wine Road’ between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri.
The property has two levels:
- the bottom, where my family lives and where I teach my cooking classes.
- the top, where TWO spacious apartments, with independent entrance and equipped with AIR CONDITIONING, are rented for holidays.

APARTMENT TORRE is located on the upper level of La Casa Toscana and it’s great for two couples or families with up to 3 kids, as there are two large bedrooms where is possible to add an extra bed.
The apartment is 90 mq (970 square feet) with a big living room 25 mq (270 square feet), a well equipped kitchen and 2 spacious bed rooms. The apartment is furnished with our family’s antique pieces to give you the same personal feeling that we have in our own home. The apartment overlooks the medieval tower and the Tuscan countryside ending into the Mediterranean sea.
Air conditioning and wifi connection are provided for free.

THE PROPERTY: The property is dominated by the medieval village of Castagneto Carducci famous for top class vineyards, rolling hills and incredible cycling roads. It’s a perfect position for a holiday: several sandy beaches few minutes drive away, cypress-lined cycling routes, tiny villages nestled between the sea and the hills. Everything is very close even though we are in the countryside and the property is ideal for a family vacation, relaxing or an active holiday!

THE GARDEN: The property is surrounded by one hectare (1/4 acre) garden with an olive orchard, fruit trees, fresh herbs and typical plants of the Mediterranean. The garden is equipped with dining tables and chairs. In several strategic points around the garden, comfortable sitting areas have been arranged, equipped with deckchairs and armchairs, perfect for simply relaxing in complete peace and quiet. It is the ideal place to spend many magic moments with your family or friends. For fun, visit our recreational area where we have a bocce ball court and a foosball table equipped with outdoor lighting. Adults and children alike will enjoy this area and our large back lawn where all can play with our three friendly cats and loving dog. There is a parking place in the shade, very comfortable when it is hot.

THE BEACH: The beach is only 7 km away. It’s also possible to ride your bicycle to the beach through very safe small country roads.

THE AREA: The village of Castagneto is reachable in twenty minutes walking from the house or 5 min driving. This quiet and charming village offers all the services (pharmacy, bank with ATM, etc.) and little restaurants to taste a delicious bruschetta served with a glass of wine from a local producer.

Donoratico, 4 km from the property, offers big supermarkets, all kind of shops and the railway station to get to the main cities (Rome, Pisa, Florence, etc.). Siena, Pisa, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano and many other beautiful destinations are about 1-2 hours away by car, perfect for a day trip. There are few sandy beaches, and our favorite is very safe for children with shallow water for many meters.

Bolgheri, 8 km from the property, is an enchanting hamlet with bars and restaurants, for your morning coffee or special dinners.

THE WINE: We live in a wine region where some of the most famous Super Tuscan wines are produced just few km from our property. We can help you to organize a visit to world-class vineyards and cellars, learn about the prestigious Bolgheri DOC region and enjoy superb wines.

MY FAMILY: We live at the bottom level of the farmhouse and I teach Italian cooking classes. My husband lives between Chamonix and Tuscany, and he is always ready to give you all the information to enjoy the area. We are passionate cyclists, and this area is famous for cycling. We can help you to find the perfect roads!

COOKING CLASSES: We would love you and your party to join one of our cooking classes. Our classes are completely hands-on, where you will be involved in every stage, making everything from scratch and having a great introduction to Italian culinary traditions and cuisine.

This is the perfect place for food, wine and cycling enthusiasts!

A little paradise ♡

We had the most wonderful time at this charming Tuscan apartment. The space was spacious, comfortable, and located just above the hosts' home, giving it a cozy yet private feel. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, greeting us with warmth and passion for their beautiful region. They provided us with a wealth of information about the best places to visit, hidden gems, and local traditions, making our experience truly special. A highlight of our stay was participating in the olive harvest at the casa—it was an unforgettable and authentic experience. Close to a nice beach

We really enjoyed the stay in the apartment and our daughter enjoyed the two dogs on the premises. Chicca was very friendly and everything just went smoothly. Would definitely recommend the location!

Tutto perfetto. Soggiorno da sogno. Il posto è bellissimo e i proprietari sono gentilissimi ed i loro consigli si sono rivelati perfetti! L’appartamento è grande e spazioso e tutto funziona, il giardino ed il parco sono bellissimi e la zona in generale è perfetta. Cittadine e paesi bellissimi, spiagge meravigliose. Se avete un cane è una delle zone più accoglienti in Italia. Consigliatissimo!

Sehr schöne, familäre Unterkunft in super Lage

Das Haus und seine Vermieter empfingen uns warmherzig und gemütlich. Die Wohnung bietet alles was man braucht, das dazugehörige Grundstück ist riesig mit viel Platz für alles mögliche. Die beiden Hofhunde sind ganz liebe Tiere mit einem freundlichen Charakter. Tolle Städte wie Pisa und Florenz sind nach kurzer Zeit zu erreichen und auch der Alltags Einkauf lässt sich vor Ort problemlos erledigen. Lecker Essen gehen ist für ca 70,- Eur für 4 Personen auch kein Problem.

Wir waren mit unseren drei Kindern und unserem Hund bei Chicca. Alle fühlten sich sehr wohl. Die beiden Hunde auf dem Grundstück sind sehr lieb, sowohl zu unseren Kindern als auch zu unserem Hund. Man hat mehrere Möglichkeiten im Garten zu sitzen und dort die lauen Nächte zu genießen.

Appartamento in villa con padroni di casa al piano terra e altro appartamento adiacente. Giardino immenso con tavoli e sdraio. Alcuni accorgimenti lo renderebbero più accogliente oltre che una necessaria rinfrescata. Non adatta a chi ha paura dei cani. Great relaxing place

We had 10 really nice days here in June. The spacious accommodation is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything needed. Good mattraces and effective mosquito nets in the windows. The garden is huge and offers plenty of nice places to relax and play. Our kids enjoyed to play there and our dog was as happy as can be due to the dogs Birra and Frida who welcomed her as a new friend. Chicca and Arnaud have been extremely friendly, relaxed and helpful. (Thank you! We are looking forward to our next stay at your wonderful place :-))

Bolgheri wine road idyll

This lovely property is right along the Bolgheri wine road. Chicca & Arnaud are welcoming and gracious people. Chicca is an architect who teaches Tuscan cooking classes in her home kitchen. We have stayed here twice & shall return.

Super schöner Urlaub mit Hund⭐⭐⭐

Ja, was soll ich sagen... Wir waren 3 Personen und 1 Hund (Golden Retriever). Die Ferienwohnung (Torre) war genau wie beschrieben. Schöne Einrichtung. Alles da was man so braucht. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Prima sauber! Der Empfang war sehr nett. Und wenn wir Fragen hatten, waren wir immer gut beraten. Hunde sind herzlich willkommen. Und wie bei andreren Rezessionen erwäht, findet man dort ein Hundeparadies vor. Riesiger, eingezäunter Garten. Auch die 2 Hunde der Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben sich mit unserer Hündin prima vertragen. Im Garten gibt es sehr viele Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Es ist ein ruhiger Aufenthaltsort. Man ist schnell am Meer oder in wunderschönen Dörfern wie z. B. Bolgheri. Ja, wir haben diesen Urlaub sehr genossen! Und waren nicht das letzte Mal dort😊

Schönes Appartement mit riesigem Garten

An incredibly experience in Tuscany. The location is so convenient and picturesque because it is 1 minute off the Bolgheri wine road. The apartment and spacious property are charming and well -maintained. The outdoor spaces among the olive grove is perfect for a meal or glass of wine. Wunderbare Woche in der Toskana

Die saubere und großzüge Wohnung ist mit allem Ausgestattet was man für erholsame Ferien braucht. Besonders die Küchenausstattung ist hervorzuheben - gute Töpfe und Pfannen und ausreichend Geschirr. Schon vor unserer Anreise erhielten wir Informationen zu Restaurants, Stränden, Einkaufen und Ausflügen. Die Unterkunft liegt zentral, in wenigen Minuten erreicht man Geschäfte und die wirklich schönen Strände. Chicca und Arnaud sind engagierte und freundliche Gastgeber. Vielen Dank für die schönen Ferientage, die wir im La Casa Toscana verbringen durften.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit wunderbarem Grundstück

Super Unterkunft mit ganz lieben Gastgebern. Es waren sehr schöne Ferien mit unserer Hündin Luna, welche ebenfalls herzlich willkommen war. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Bolgheri-Weinroute und nicht weit vom bezaubernden Dorf Castagneto Carducci entfernt. Herzlichen Dank an Chicca und Arnaud

Perfect Vacation / Traumhafter Urlaub

We had a great week at Chiccas house. The Appartement was very Spacy for two adults and one 5 year old. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking. The garden is a dream. Chicca and Arnaud where always helpful with tipps for the surrounding. We also had a document before arriving with all tips about restaurants, sightseeing, shopping and many more. Our son loved the huge garden with all the secrets and we relaxed in the many sun loungers. The dogs are also very cute and really love children. Best friends with our son. The area around the house is typical Tuscany and the beach is wonderful. We would love to come back soon, we really really enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks for the chance to visit Italy this beautiful way! Perfekter Urlaub in perfekter Umgebung. Wärmstes zu empfehlen ! Hugs and kisses Rike and Family

Eine wundervolle Woche in der Toskana!

Wir durften mit unseren drei Kindern (3, 5 und 7 Jahre), für eine Woche zu Gast bei Chicca und Arnaud sein. Wir wurden bereits vor der Anreise mit vielen Tipps und Informationen versorgt. Der Empfang durch Chicca und Arnaud und den Haushund Frida, war sehr herzlich und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Frida ist sehr kinderlieb und unsere Kinder haben es geliebt, mit ihr zu spielen. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Durch die günstige Lage des Hauses, kann man sowohl sehr schnell diverse Strände erreichen und Städte besuchen, als auch die Ruhe und Natur, die einem durch den grossen Garten geboten werden, genießen. Wir haben direkt den Entschluss gefasst, im nächsten Jahr wiederzukommen. Nochmals vielen Dank an Chicca, Arnaud und natürlich Frida!

Sehr schöner Urlaub bei tollen Gastgebern

Wir haben ein sehr erholsame Woche bei Chicca, Arnaud und der wundervollen Hündin Frida verbracht. Die Wohnung in der wir wohnen durften (eine von zwei die vermietet werden) ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es ist sauber und alles notwendige ist vorhanden. Der Platz reicht für 4 Personen (+Hund) alle mal aus. Zur Mitbenutzung der Wohnung gehört der große Garten. Hier hatten unsere Kinder und unser Hund jede Menge Spaß und haben jede freie Minute dort verbracht. Die Umgebung um Castagneto Carducci ist unglaublich toll, es gibt sehr viele kleine malerische Toskanische Dörfer zu entdecken. Der Stand (ca 10min Fahrt) ist ein sehr feiner Sandstrand der lange und sehr flach abfällt. Perfekt für kleine Kinder und Sandburgenbauer. Das Wasser ist sauber und klar. Ein Hundestrand befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe. Das Essen in der Umgebung darf natürlich nicht unerwähnt bleiben, denn es ist unglaublich lecker. Wir haben uns an die vielen kulinarischen Tipps von Chicca gehalten und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Zur aktuellen Corona Situation muss gesagt werden, dass die Einheimischen in der Toskana sehr verantwortungsvoll mit den Regeln und Hygienevorschriften umgehen. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit sicher gefühlt. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Chicca und Arnaud, da sie uns immer mit Ihren Tips gut beraten haben und wir uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir werden ganz sicher wieder kommen 🥰
