Each morning, bright blue skies and the gentle sea breeze will draw you outside to the villa’s private terrace, where you can take a refreshing dip in your infinity pool and admire the terracotta rooftops and the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea. The villa’s fragrant lavender garden is the ideal place to enjoy a quiet moment, or you can unwind on a poolside sun lounger in the company of a good book. The Croatian sunset provides a spectacular backdrop for a delicious barbecue at the outdoor dining area on the terrace. Later, everyone can gather in the comfort of the outdoor lounge area to watch the stars appear.

Villa Selina’s modern terrace flows seamlessly into an open-plan interior living space on the ground floor, where wide patio doors bathe the comfortable lounge area in abundant natural light. The lounge features a sumptuous sofa, armchairs and a flatscreen TV, creating an inviting space to unwind after exploring Hvar’s wonders. Adjacent to the lounge is a contemporary kitchen with a large breakfast bar, where you can admire the blue skies over a morning cup of coffee. Upstairs, the villa’s first floor offers three elegant double bedrooms. The master bedroom of Villa Selina features a king-size bed with floor-to-ceiling windows and direct balcony access, offering enchanting views of the town of Hvar. A freestanding bathtub overlooks the Adriatic Sea and leads to a spacious en-suite bathroom. Hvar is well-known for its treasure trove of beautiful beaches, from the white pebbles of Pokonji Dol to Dubovica’s pristine bay. Malo Zarace’s crystal-clear waters are ideal for a sunset swim, while Mina is a secluded sandy haven on the northern coast near Jelsa. For those who fancy a day of island hopping, a visit to the Pakleni Islands is a magical experience. Pack a picnic and hire a boat for the day, going to hidden coves and bright blue lagoons. Alternatively, you can join boat tours departing from Hvar town’s main harbour.

Spend a sunny morning in Hvar town, where almost any of the pretty side streets will eventually lead you to Dalmatia’s oldest square, St. Stephen’s Square. Home to incredible Venetian and Renaissance architecture, including the imposing St. Stephen’s Cathedral, this vibrant square in the town centre is the ideal place to enjoy a cup of coffee as you watch the world go by. Meanwhile, history enthusiasts will adore a trip to the town’s historic fortress, overlooking the sparkling waters of the Adriatic Sea. Originally constructed at the beginning of the 13th century, the fortress was reconstructed in 1579. Today, it is home to a small museum with an impressive collection of historical artefacts discovered around the island. The panoramic views from the top of the fortress are truly spectacular.

Located on the island’s northern shores, Stari Grad is one of the oldest towns in Europe. Encompassing ancient winding streets, quaint laneways filled with flowers and plenty of Mediterranean charm, the town is the perfect place to visit for a quiet afternoon spent wandering along the promenade, followed by a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant. The blooming gardens at Tvrdalj Castle are enchanting, while a trip to the Stari Grad Museum fascinates visitors, with archaeological collections dating back six thousand years.

The UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain is home to a wealth of excellent wineries. You can visit vineyards and intimate wine cellars in Jelsa, such as Vina Tomić and the Duboković Winery. There are gastronomic tours around the island, allowing visitors to sample various fantastic wines, often paired with traditional delicacies such as exquisite local olive oil.
