The boat rocks gently and sometimes a bit more. Very relaxing and private. Everything you need is on board. Being on the water doesn’t take special skills but it helps if you are able to manouvre on and of the ship. It is a bit of an adventure and certanly not a everyday kind of stay

We will come back

The houseboat has everything you need, even if it might take a little getting used to at the beginning. Despite the bad weather with lots of rain and snow, we were very comfortable inside thanks to the heating.Casey is always available if you need anything.The city center can be reached in a 15-minute uber ride

Séjour dépaysant !

Très agréable et original ! 2 nuits passées sur le bateau de Casey, nous avons adoré dormir bercés par les vagues. Casey prend le temps de tout expliquer et se rend disponible s'il y'a le moindre problème avec le logement. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir aux beaux jours :) A bientôt Julie

Awesome host and location!

The boat was well maintained and very clean. Casey is a wonderful host. We shared some wine and Dutch cheese and watched the sunset from the boat platform. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Unvergessliche Zeit!

Perfekt um mal dem Alltag zu entfliehen. Wir haben die Zeit auf dem Boot sehr genossen. Noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Und Cees ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Wir werden wiederkommen!!!!!!

very nice, special experience

Lovely location, place with a lot of charm, very helpful owner, always ready to assist. One should just be aware of what it means to be on a boat- no real cooking possible, just microwave but works fine. Excellent supermarket nearby, quiet lovely surrounding in the countryside though within easy reach of the city center. The only slight nuisance (to me) was the high- voltage line nearby bit other than that great experience- thank you so much!

Our Wonderful Week on the Amsterdam Houseboa

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful week we spent on the houseboat in Amsterdam. The boat is not only beautifully designed but also perfectly situated – just about 30 minutes to reach the vibrant city center of Amsterdam (a short tram ride and a little walk), while still being surrounded by idyllic nature and just a stone's throw away from a cozy little town. Whether it was a bike tour, a refreshing dip in the water, or enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city – our week flew by. Our host was incredibly warm and took care of all our needs. It was truly a fantastic holiday, and we will definitely book the boat again.

Gemütliches Boot am Rande der Stadt

Wir haben unsere Zeit auf dem Wasser und in der Stadt sehr genossen. Eine gute Mischung zwischen Trubel im bunten Amsterdam und Ruhe auf dem Boot mit sanftem Schaukeln. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht auf engstem Raum. Zu Fuß und mit den Öffis braucht man ca. 30 min bis zum Bahnhof. Casey haben wir als sehr symphatischen und umsichtigen Gastgeber kennengelernt. Vielen Dank!

Never slept so well

Casey ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Freundlich und hilfsbereit. Staying on his boat is a bit like glamping on the water. The small bathroom takes some getting used to, but you get along well with it. We would not hesitate to holiday there again. The location very close to the city is perfect.

Besonderes Erlebnis

Wir haben ein Wochenende auf dem Boot verbracht und waren durchweg begeistert. Alles war super! Es war sauber, ordentlich und wirklich gemütlich. Unser Gastgeber Casey gab uns eine Einweisung in die Besonderheiten und gab uns außerdem ein paar Ausflugstipps für Amsterdam an die Hand. Es fehlte uns an nichts. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es alles was man benötigt. Es bleibt nur noch zu sagen: Danke, Casey! Danke, dass du uns und anderen Gästen dieses tolle Erlebnis möglich machst!

Cosy houseboat

Casey was an amazing host. He explained everything and gave us a lot of tips for our Amsterdam trip. The house boat is an old lady from the 1960s with a lot of Charme and character and peculiarities- you have to treat it carefully. It was an amazing experience.

A unique adventure with a charming host!

We enjoyed two days and nights on this lovely houseboat just outside of Amsterdam center. Our host made everything easy with impeccable communication. The houseboat itself was a fun adventure and we so enjoyed being gently rocked to sleep while listening to the breeze, the waves, and night birds. The view of Amsterdam at night was magnificent. Casey was a wonderful host - attentive, engaging, and friendly. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and we would definitely stay here again if we were coming to Amsterdam. Thank you, Casey!

Magnifique séjour "à bord"

Ce bateau très bien entretenu a le charme de l'ancien ! Notre petite fille de 11 ans était enchantée par ce séjour original ! Cazey, le propriétaire est extrêmement accueillant, très disponible. Attentif à donner de bons conseils pour profiter d'Amsterdam. Ce fut un excellent séjour et nous reviendrons ! Magnificent stay "on board" This well-maintained boat has all the charm of vintage yachts! Our 11-year-old granddaughter was delighted with this original holiday! Cazey, the owner, is extremely welcoming and available. Attentive to giving good advice on how to enjoy Amsterdam. It was an excellent stay and we'll be back ! Isabelle et François

An experience of it's own :)

We had such a fabulous time here! It's small quarters because it's a boat... somewhat of a camper feeling. Being on the water and feeling the boat rocking is so relaxing. Casey was so, so kind and helpful. He thinks of everything- he showed us good places to go in town, explained how to get there on the tram, provided bikes as an option for travel, and even had motion sickness pills available for seasickness. When we ran into a small snag with the accommodations, he came over immediately to help. We definitely recommend staying here if you like adventure and new experiences. :)

Unique and memorable experience

We had a lovely experience staying on the houseboat! The decor was vintage and cozy, we felt immediatly at home. Casey, the host, was very friendly, forecoming and always open to our needs. We spent a week as a 4-person family in Amsterdam. For such a group the space on the boat is tight, but manageable. We were, however, thoroughly informed about that beforehand. The location of the boat was in a very quiet area, which is wonderful to escape the hectic of the city. The only downside is, that it takes at least 15 minutes to get to the closest public transport by foot, unless you call yourself a taxi/uber/bolt, as Casey actually recommended. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and we came back home with a unique and memorable experience. We absolutly recommend this stay!
