The front desk staff were lovely when we stopped in with questions, but they never answered the phone. When we arrived, the room looked nothing like the online photos. It was dirty and poorly maintained, with cracks in the shower, walls, and floor, plus mouse droppings around the oven. There was no hot water the first night. The front desk told us to run the water for 10–15 minutes, but that didn’t help. The next morning, we messaged the host, RoomPicks. After a full day without hot water, we learned the hotel was working on it but had no ETA. We asked for a refund so we could find other accommodations. RoomPicks gave us the runaround, claiming only the front desk could authorize refunds. The front desk refunded resort fees and the deposit, but said RoomPicks had to refund the rest. RoomPicks continues to stall, saying they need to verify with the hotel, which has already refunded its portion.

The front desk people were very helpful! The hotel was in a great location, easy walk to beach, lots of shopping and food very close. International Market very close. Room was adequate, all you needed was available.

1 star because it was not sky view. AC was only blowing air, no cool air had to use a big fan all day and night. Cooking oven was convenient, other Cooking items rice cooker pots pans etc available on request

Location was the best part of this hotel. Right at the heart of Waikiki. Across from great restaurants and a convenient shop. Valet parking available but curbside parking if you can find the space.

Best bang for your buck

If you’re staying in Hawaii long, plan do to all the outdoor activities and are on a budget - this is the place for you. They have everything you’ll need, are close to the strip and the beach and won’t break the bank.

Stay was great. Was located in the heart of Waikiki. Cant ask for a better spot. Only issue is the parking. Coming back from late night excursions, they would be no availability in the parking garage. But other than that i had a good time.

No air conditioning

We booked this hotel specifically because it had air conditioning. We did not have air the entire time we stayed which was a big inconvenience and impacted our trip negatively. When we asked for a discount we were told to settle it at check out. On our checkout day the person at the desk was not helpful and stated she could only comp us 60 which is not adequate in my opinion. We could have stayed elsewhere at a place without air conditioning for way cheaper. We tried to contact management and they never returned our call. We just checked the bank account as well and they did not even comp us the 60. Highly disappointed. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Unkempt property

The building is very old and poorly kept. The AC was out, the room was hot and uncomfortable. They gave us a box fan which did little to help. The room was old, bathroom full of mold, shower was pealing tiles and paint. We had to sleep with the slider open to get relief from the heat, the noise of constant sirens, shouting, fighting in the streets was present all night. The front door of the lobby was kicked I. On the first night of. Our stay and stayed broken for 4 days. The staff was very friendly, that’s the only positive I can give this place

Great location, older hotel

The staff was amazing - friendly and helpful. The location is very close to everything you coule want with the International Market across the street. On the other hand, understand that it is an older hotel with the simplest of amenities.
