Really great rustic home. Quiet property with millions of fireflies made for an unforgettable family home. We had 4 generations under one roof for a long weekend and the house accommodated us perfectly. Tons of games for the kids and rooms big enough when we wanted to be together and enough space when we needed it.

Exploring Iowa City and Lake Area

Location absolutely ideal for our visit to Iowa City, Coralville spillway (fishing), and Lake McBride. Very clean with relaxing decor, bright and roomy.Perfect for our girls(dogs) to have a safe fenced area to run after long road trip. Convenient parking next to entrance so easy to unload and repack personal belongings. Stayed several places before these by far the best hosts with their kindness and hospitality.

Beautiful family getaway

Great house with plenty of space for an extended family (3 generations)to spread out. The kitchen has everything you need for food prep and the spacious dining room made family meals easy. The coffee bar is an added bonus. Nice bathrooms, quality towels and linens. Bedrooms were lovely and slept well. The master and one other bedroom have TVs, and there are two other TVs on the main floor. Check in was effortless and the host is very responsive. We really enjoyed exploring Mt. Vernon's main Street. Highly recommend the Holiday House.

Perfect landing spot after appointments and exploration!
